I have only eaten here once but the Taco Salad I had was probably the best taco salad I have eaten. The staff was friendly, fast and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Seriously one of the best tex-mex places in North Texas. Usually get the fajitas picante and are always fantastic. Margaritas also good(and strong!). Chips and dips are also excellent!

We typically order to go from here, so keep that in mind reading this review. I’m not sure if there is just a fundamental lack of knowledge of their menu, but I’m tempted to start ordering by just asking for them to throw whatever they pick for me into a box because that seems to be what I get regardless of what I order. I’m not asking for any special modifications. Just x or y plate. 2 for 2 wrong tonight. I’m envisioning a tex-mex militant in the kitchen that says, «You only THOUGHT you wanted a tamale and cheese taco, or chicken fajitas. You’ll take beef enchiladas and like it!» Calling to let the manager know resulted in an, «Oh, sorry.» I resent paying full price for two wrong meals. Short version: Dine in so you can send your order back when it’s wrong. Every. Single. Freaking. Time.

They catered my Christmas Eve dinner and it was Amazing. Everyone enjoyed! Plenty of food for the price. Black bean dip is a must and great sauce !!

Pretty good. Sometimes the food is greasy and the salsa is too spicy. Service is fair.

We’ve been here a handful of times and the food is very, very good. Like most North Texans, we’re particular about our Tex-Mex, and this place has always exceeded our expectations. The only area that this restaurant can improve upon are their service times. Two out of the five times that we have been here, the service times were excellent. The other three were painful. Tonight was was a great example. Let me preface this with the fact that in no way do we believe that our server was being lazy or inattentive in any way. He did a great job with what he was given. The poor guy was simply swamped. We arrived a few minutes til 7 and we were seated immediately but then it took almost 7 minutes to be greeted and our drink order taken. After several minutes more we recieved our drinks, no alcohol, just three fountain/canned drinks and a water. It was several more minutes after that before we were able to place our order. Once our order was placed it took almost 25 minutes to receive our food. The food was hot and as stated above, it was very good. I believe that our experiences have all been due to an understaffed front of house crew. I would love to be able to rate Pedro’s with five stars because I know they are capable of fixing this small but time consuming problem. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere and will continue to eat here when we know that we have the time available.

Food was good. Just your average texmex maybe a bit above average. Service was great. Margaritas were suprisingly good and didn’t just taste like run of the mill mix. Salsa was awesome. obviously home made. Overall a pleasant experience. My only issue is the price. $ 12-$ 13 for texmex isn’t going to fly at this location. Just ask café herrera… oh wait.

I have given this place 3 chances. I first had the shrimp fajitas. The tortillas tasted like cheap store bought tortillas. It was also drenched in nasty oil. I mean. Drenched. Next I tried the taco salad. Extremely bland and my taco was stale. My last and final time I has the tortilla soup. I was told by the waiter, after complaining, that people come there just for that soup! It was so plain and the chicken was cubed, like from a can! Ew. Maybe I went on bad days, but I just can’t give this place another shot.

I have eaten here three times with my wife. Each visit, the food has been good and meets our expectations. The first time I had the Spicy fajitas. An interesting take on your standard fajitas. They included a sauce on the fajitas which gave is a slight to medium kick. Nothing to bad, but some, who do not like spicy, may disagree. The last two times, I have had the Chilies Rellenos and both times, I enjoyed them… love how the cheese and meat mix inside the chile. I also like the refried beans and rice. (Note: on the menu, most entrees come with rice and ‘bean soup’. I have not have the ‘bean soup’ yet, but I am assuming this is some type of «Ranchero» style beans which are cooked, whole beans in a light, spiced broth. I don’t mind them, but I know some might prefer the more common ‘frijoles refritos’, so make sure to inquire if you can switch if your entire comes with ‘bean soup’.) Overall, Pedro’s is a good ‘change up’ from the current offerings in the general East Denton County area. In my opinion, it is 2nd to Ernestos Mexican Restaurant up in Pilot Point, due to Ernestos having a more extensive menu and a few traditional Mexican offerings which are not offered in most ‘Tex Mex’ restaurants. But, Pedros is definitely a ‘go-to’ place. It smokes Raphael’s and is a good change up from Villa Grande, which are both found down on US380. Bonus input: While Pedros is only a 5 minute drive away, when Villa Grande is packed, Pedros is usually easy to get seated for dinner. There are exceptions to this, but this has been our experience so far…

Good food so close to home. The table side guacamole is excellent. We have ordered a variety of things and all have been good. The service can be hit or miss at times. But they are new and working on things. Excited to use their patio come spring.

The best TexMex in far north Texas! Pedro is the best host and his staff is very accommodating and attentive. I highly recommend it!

Our food was average Tex-Mex in my opinion. Service was fine but I wasn’t a huge fan of my meal. My wife had combo fajitas, chicken was on the dry side and the steak was over cooked. Our first bowl of salsa was great, the second bowl tasted like someone dumped an extra cup of Salt in it. I had to spit a bite out. I can’t recall the name of my meal, it was 3 corn tortillas with diced beef fajita meat. They came out sitting in a puddle of grease. I almost sent it back. After pushing the meat out and getting a flower tortilla from my wife I powered through the meal. I liked the bean soup with the meals, the bean dip that comes with the salsa is a nice touch also.

One of our new favorite mexi restaurant! Good food. Great flavor. Really enjoyed the rellano and the pescado tilapia. Good margaritas. Great service. Manager and servers were great! Had a great afternoon on the patio. Thanks Pedro’s.

Best Mexican food north of Hwy 380. Everything here is fantastic: the nachos, the burritos, the fajitas, and the enchiladas. The rice is moist, the refried beans are smooth, and the service in my two visits was fast. The ambience is funky with the different colored walls. Definitely the place to get your Mexican fix if you’re driving through Aubrey. Look for the big marquee sign by the road pointing to «Pedros.»

The newest location for Pedro’s Tex-Mex. I really enjoy this place. The food is tastey, the service could use some help. UPDATE3÷10÷15: The service has been taken care of. It’s improved drastically. I still enjoy this place, my only complaint is the price. It is on the high side with taco plates around $ 12 and that is about the average price on the menu with the exception of enchilada plates, most of which are cheese and xxxxx. The food. I’ve been here twice now and both times the food was great. I had the beef chimichanga my first visit and chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce the second visit. Both times the food was cooked well and seasoned nicely. The service. My first visit here the service was very slow. Our waiter, who I found out later was a manager, let us know that they were two servers short and one busser down too. Considering this and that the place was packed, the service was actually real good. My second visit was different. It wasn’t full and service was as slow as the first time. We sat waiting for a bit before someone finally asked if we’d been helped. He took our drink order then. He came back with drinks just about the time I started to wonder where my drink was, took our order and left. Did hear from the waiter until he brought the food out. We had ordered a burrito with queso on top but when it arrived there was no queso. The waiter posted it out and said he’d bring some. Five minutes later I flagged down a different waiter and had him bring us the queso which my waiter just happened to bring right after we got it from the other waiter. Clearly he had forgotten about us until he saw someone else getting it. Refills were a bit slow to arrive, both on drinks and salsa. I chalk it up to new wait service and by new I mean first time employment. The wait staff is young men, what seem to be fresh out if high school if that. So I’ll let the slow service slide in hopes they are getting the training they need. I will certainly be going here a lot. The food is that good.
