This is off of university located back with the police and community center. They have two parking lots to park in… only handicapped people can park right at the building, and it is very limited. They have a 24 hour drive up return on the side. I like that they have a separate area for your holds that I can grab myself. However, if you order through melcat you have to ask a librarian. They only have one self check out. You can only pay fines in person-not online. You can renew online and they will email you reminders. Small music selection, which I never find much. Some dvds and bluerays. Decent Bollywood, def. lacking in J-POP horror cult flicks. However, they did surprise me when I found Dogtooth, which I really wanted to see at the now defunct Burton Theater. I find myself getting tired of their audio books. They do have Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream recipe book-seriously check it out… Bangkok Peanut will blow your mind… and they ordered it based off my suggestion. Only a few pcs to use. They do have private study rooms. The magazine/new releases are in a room with a cozy fireplace. Recently, with the seasons changing I found the thermostat in the main room to be wayyyy off… like indoor summer. The kids stuff is downstairs. They are struggling for $ as most libraries are and have really limited hours. If you use an ereader they support the overdrive system. One of the reference libraries really worked to find a particular book for me. All I remembered was I saw it in an airport at least two years ago, it was a journal written by a man who was at war for his son… within 20 minutes we had found it. She got a kick from the hunt and even printed an article on the book for me. FYI– it was a Journal for Jordon.

I go to this library frequently with a nine-year old boy. They offer free or discounted passes to many local museums as well as free classes in the library. The boy has taken several and has really enjoyed them. The library is not overly large but offers great resources for the size. Plus a well rounded collection of audio/video and books. They even have a large room dedicated to magazines and newspapers.
