The prices did go up, but they do a student discount ($ 20) so I’m going to keep going here. I have to say the haircut was always consistent. Also, Sarah doesn’t work there anymore, but Kim is great.

The Edge, It’s just a nice barbershop. They offer many services. Rates are good. I want to give a shout out to one of the newer Barber’s, Mandi. Absolutely no complaints. Want great service and that total relaxation feel when you leave and you look good, go see Mandi. Easy to talk with. Mandi listens, and she’s a rodeo girl. Can’t ask for much better than that.
The shop is very clean. The staff is always offering you something to drink. There are plenty of products to choose from on top of all the services they offer. I have not tried out the straight shave yet, but if it is anything like the haircuts, you won’t go wrong.
I give it two thumbs up!

Great place, in and out quickly with great cut and service. Actually felt better walking out than in. Really cool feel and Julie is awesome!

I’ve been coming to The Edge for 3 years now and they are the best in the area. After 1 visit here I was set for life after spending years going to the local chains. Julie is the best and always does a quality job. There are lots of little things that make The Edge stand out like the hot towels, neck shave and rub, free snacks, laid back atmosphere, and the team there is always friendly and helpful.

I came here a week after another salon butchered my hair. Cant remember who cut it but she was blonde had a tattoo. She did a really good job and was very sweet. Def go here and check it out. For the price you get a hot towel and they shampoo and style after so thats a plus.

I moved out to Michigan about 8 months ago and was in search of a great barber shop. I definitely have found a home at The Edge.
On a street that is for the most part indistinguishable from any other, The Edge Men’s Grooming hair salon stands out. Every visit here I am greeted with a warm, friendly welcome and a great ambience. Whether it’s the modern twist to the old style barber shop or the pretty faces of the stylists, you WANT to get your hair cut here.
I try to always schedule an appointment with Sarah as she nails the style I want every time. She engages you with great conversation and a beautiful smile the entire cut. It never feels like she doesn’t want to be there or gives off the ‘lets get this over with’ attitude that most run of the mill hair salon stylists tend to have. Maybe it’s because I’m a return customer but she always remembers what we talk about for the next visit and makes me WANT to go get my haircut, rather than feel like it’s a mundane task that has to be done. The other stylist I had, LaRohn, is great too, every time I go in there she is always jamming out to whatever is on the radio and looks like she’s in a great mood (not to mention she’s great with a pair of clippers). As for the owner, Julie, she is one of the nicest, most upbeat, people I have met since moving to Michigan.
The Edge has gained a return customer for as long as they keep their doors open!

I don’t mind saying that I was pretty impressed.
I walked in without an appointment, and only had to wait a few minutes before I was in a chair. That was pretty nice, but it looked like I happened to get lucky, as another walk-​in customer had to be turned away.
Right off the bat, I really liked the ambiance and décor. There are places (I’m looking at you, Hair Mechanix) where I’d be embarrassed if my daughter saw me there. The Edge is a straight up barber shop, but cleaner.
At first, I was a bit concerned that Julie was going to give me a «buzz, buzz, buzz… okay, you’re done» cut, but she was quite detailed. Her overall technique was different from what I’m used to, but I probably had one of the best cuts I’ve had in years.
After the cut, she trimmed up my beard and eyebrows, but when it came to the neck shave, that was a little unusual. It was my first hot lather neck shave with an electric razor. If I needed to come up with a complaint, I think that would be it. Conversely, I loved that the wash sinks are at each station.
All things considered, I can easily see myself making regular appointments in the future.

After reading the other reviews, I was hopeful, but Edge definitely let me down. The stylist was in a rush to finish, even though there were no other customers waiting. I had to have her go back and touch up my hair 4 – 5 times since she missed so many areas or they were not even. She was also very rough, pulling my hair and overall the result was disappointing. I would not return to this location and will be trying to find a new barber in the area.

Not only do I get a consistently great haircut from the girls at the Edge, but the environment is comfortable and relaxing, I almost didn’t want to leave to go back to work! But I love the fact that they wash my hair (with a scalp massage) after the cut and I can go back feeling clean and refreshed. Very nice ladies and great service, I’m a regular!

My husband had a walk-​in haircut at Edge and his first impression was that it looked nice and the people were friendly. He asked for a trim and said he wanted his hair to still fit in a ponytail. Having frequently been a patron of barber shops rather than hair salons, he was unprepared for a high maintenance cut. He is very depressed because his hair no longer fits in a ponytail and he is not interested in putting products in his hair or learning how to have, as he calls it, «magazine hair.» Sounds like this is a good place for a metrosexual man, but not for someone looking for a good barber.

Without a doubt, one of the best places for men’s haircuts! Even when my normal hairdresser isn’t available, the other girls cut my hair just as good. You can’t go wrong getting a haircut here.
