The Home Depot

We are new to the area. We came to purchase blinds and schedule installation of them for our new home. We waited for quite awhile. An employee paged for service for us. No one came and the employee who paged for service did not follow up even though we were within her sight. We will get blinds somwhere else.

Rude employees. Unlike other HD this one apparently has a No dogs policy (not posted)… Hit or miss on the items they stock. Save the frustration and drive to Lake Orion and you will have a better selection and better service.

Its getting to a point where I just cant stand this store: the lack of help and lack of knowledge of what personnel they do have is aggravating. Whats even more disappointing is the lack of selection, especially in plumbing. I absolutely cannot stomach trying to get plumbing supplies at this store anymore, when your able to find some «help», its weak. They don’t even know what they have half the time and the usual response is «we don’t have that» accompanied by an excuse via a comment that «we don’t sell enough of that to stock it», but its common product for plumbing. The don’t sell enough because they never have it in stock to sell it to begin with. To top it off what product they do have on the shelf is all jumbled in different bins and you can’t trust what your buying, much less know what the real price is, which by the way are premium prices for sub-​standard products. This store is declining due to such ignorance.

I have shopped at several Home Depot stores over the last 15 years as well as Lowe’s. This store has some very knowledgable sales people with good stock and variety. Way better tool, plumbing and electrical than Lowe’s. Lowes has better selection of fancy redecorating stuff.
Never had a problem with returns.

Pretty much have everything you might need. Prices are decent. Help is better than Lowe’s!

Ordering a garage door opener with installation over the internet seemed simple, but that was the only simple part of the process. After your order is completed, on your internet receipt it says, «You will be contacted by an installer within two business days to schedule the installation and answer some prequalifying jobsite questions.» I placed my order on Wednesday and I didn’t hear from anybody until Tuesday. That’s the 4^th business day, not 2! That’s problem #1.
I originally planned for the installer to come out Wednesday but I had to reschedule. I called back the installer within 10 minutes and they agreed to reschedule for Thursday with no penalty for doing so. Think everything is set and done, right? Wrong! Not even an hour later, I get an email from the home depot stating that the installer was coming Wednesday (Originally planned day). On Wednesday morning, I called the home depot and was told they have the installer scheduled to come today. Because of this, the person I had that could wait for the installer moved their plans back 3 hours. I waited until 2pm on Wednesday and I received no call or show of an installer. I called the installer and was informed that they still have me scheduled for Thursday (not Wednesday!). Now I know that Home Depot and their installers don’t properly communicate with each other. Problem #2
Now we’re on to Thursday. The installer didn’t arrive at 2pm. The installer didn’t arrive at 3pm. I called the installer number just to make sure they have somebody coming. They confirmed again, that I’m scheduled but they are having trouble reaching the installer. The guy didn’t arrive until 4pm! Problem #3
The installation was done fairly quickly and the installer helped me program the opener completely. However, there were a couple screws that were left on the floor of the garage which could have punctured tires on either vehicle if driven over. PROBLEM #4. I will never use online ordering through home depot again!!!
