The new location is 1016 W 7th St, Suite 140, Auburn, IN46706. The owner, Laurie, was so gracious. She quickly filled my order. I ordered for Christmas Thank You’s for my staff. I had one for myself. The problem is I wanted more! But, I showed control. The cupcakes were made this morning. You could smell them as you entered. Don’t miss this wonderful place of cupcakes and baked items!

All About the Cakes makes the best cakes in the area. Their white cake with buttercream icing is delicious. I also recommend their variety of cupcakes, especially the white cake with raspberry filling. Unfortunately, the prices are very high on their cakes.

The cupcake selection is great, usually about15 different kinds, along with mini cheesecakes and muffins. Get a few different cupcakes when you go so you have one flavor to try now and something for later. The peanut butter chocolate cupcake is the big winner for me.

I was excited to finally try All About the Cakes, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to my expectations. I recently purchased a couple of different cupcakes and a whoopie pie. The tub of fake buttercream sitting on the counter in the cluttered kitchen should have clued me in to the fact that these treats weren’t going to be any better than what I could get at Walmart, but what can I say, I’m an optimist. I bought them anyway. I wish I’d just given my money to Walmart.

We happened to be walking down Main Street on a Wednesday morning recently when we realized we couldn’t resist the cupcakes that were calling to us from behind the window display. All About The Cakes is a new business in town and one that I’m certainly hoping they become a permanent fixture. They have approximately 15 different specialty mouthwatering flavors of cupcakes for you to figure out which ones to take home with you. I wish their website listed their cupcake flavors, so that I can state with certainly the proper names of our chosen cupcakes. Sadly it does not.(Their website is heavily biased towards their special occasion cakes, but they have a website. Not that many places in Auburn can say that.) I chose a vanilla cupcake with a strawberry frosting on top while my cupcake buddy selected the one affectionately known by the bakers as «death by chocolate.» Chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting all throughout. I was pleasantly pleased to see that my cupcake had a delicious filling in the middle, as well. I’ve never had such a fancy, and may I add decadent, cupcake before. It was tough to wait until we were home to eat them, but once they hit our mouths they were all gone in(practically) one quick bite. Laurie, the owner was there, along with one of her employees. Customer service was prompt and friendly(and patient! It took us a while to make up our minds; the choices all looked so yummy). Next time I don’t think I’ll be able to walk out of there without trying one of the mini cheesecakes. I hope others start reviewing this business, so I don’t have to eat my way through reviewing each flavor of cupcake on my own! Oh and if I remember correctly, I want to say my total for the two cupcakes was under $ 4.00(I want to say it was $ 3.21, but that was yesterday — a loooong time ago already!) I definitely recommend a visit to this sweet treat in Auburn!
