Got a order for take out and it was $ 17. I was supposed to get my meal, soup, and salad. My meal had hardly any food in it, probably $ 6 worth of food. I didn’t get any soup. And my salad was just iceberg lettuce. No dressing. Nothing. Worst place ever and is a complete ripoff.

The service was fine. We were seated immediately. The waiter was friendly and warned us that the rolls are larger than usual(true) and we might want to reduce our order(also true). The food came out quickly. That was the good. The bad was that the rolls were all loosely packed, so they fell apart immediately, and so drenched in sauce that nothing else could be tasted. Was there avocado on that roll? Who knows? All that could be tasted was some over-sweetened unagi sauce. The rice was gluey and the tempura shrimp was old, hard, and cold in the middle. And the batter was inexplicably sweet. So, the rolls were over-sauced, falling apart, mayonnaise-y and far to big to be eaten in one bite. And what is this need to make even kappa-maki inside out? Nori is not that scary, people! And it holds everything in place. Ok, so there’s all that, which is mostly personal preference, so your mileage may differ. However, there is no excuse for the 8-inch blonde HAIR inside the futomaki. Yikes. Won’t be coming here again.

This was some of the best sushi I have ever had. On top of that they had all you can eat sushi or 50% off a sushi roll. I definitely recommend Arigato.

Good sushi, well priced. The atmosphere was a little, um, weird. Just dark and sparse. My server was friendly, and I enjoyed my lunch here. I had a dragon roll, tuna roll, and seaweed salad. All were very tasty.

Decent prices, tasty sushi, and their cuisine outside of sushi is worth the try as well. Definitely my favorite sushi place in town.

I usually come here for the lunch special. Their lunch special is unlimited sushi from 11:30am to 3:00pm. There are two options. Option one is $ 9.99 with a good selection of sushi. Option two is the one i usually get. It is $ 14.99 and has a better selection of sushi and also comes with soup and ginger dressed salad. The service and atmosphere is really good and relaxing. I would recommend coming here during your lunch break.

The all you can eat sushi is a great deal but the sushi is mediocre at best. All I tasted was mayonnaise when I ate there. My boyfriend had to eat 5 of the 6 sushi rolls because I couldn’t bear to eat much of it. Service was not great but I know that it wasn’t her fault. She was the only one working during this huge lunch rush until another coworker showed up to help her but even then, service was very slow. I’d suggest hiring more servers during these rush hours, maybe even another sushi chef as there was only one. How are you supposed to get people out in a timely manner if one person is making rolls for ten different tables?

There are two Arigatos. One is located on South College, and one is downtown. The one on South College is mediocre, go to Fuji if you are in that area. However this review is about the Arigato downtown. It is the best sushi in Auburn. It is fresh, they have a bunch of options, and it is better than Fuji. The atmosphere is ok… there is a rarely used bar and a bunch of tables awkwardly spread around the restaurant, but it isn’t unpleasant. The food here is excellent. You can buy a cheap box which has a lot of different options, or you can splurge and get some special rolls. Their rolls are dope. Get the rolls. I like this place and continue to go back.

Its really good food but the service is awful. The waitresses got mad when we sat ourselves after waiting 20 minutes for a «5−10 minute» wait. There were 2 servers and only 5 tables in the restaurant so there’s no reason for the late. The hostess in particular had an awful attitude and seemed ungrateful to have her job. Hopefully this is an isolated incident but the regular service isn’t much better in my experience.

I really wanted to like this food, but I just didn’t. Three rolls were fairly tasteless, no ginger and Wasabi in the box,(got it to go) and the shrimp tempura tasted like it had been fried this morning then semi re heated and put int he box. Great looking place and really good service. I «may» try again just to be fair, but was pretty underwhelmed.

I’m not a big on Japanese cuisine, but I stopped here while my car was getting fixed next door. It was a great deal and I enjoyed the food as much as any Japanese I’ve had before. They seemed to have great specials throughout the week. It’s also designed really well– relaxed but classy.

My wife and I frequent Arigato, great Sushi and good specials all week. This is definitely the best Sushi place we have tried in Auburn and we have been here about 5 years.

You’ll wait for an hour but the sushi so fresh here! I can’t understand why they lack so much in service though…

The last couple times I have been here, the sushi rolls have been rolled loosely and have fallen apart. Also, the service here is terrible. It takes 25 minutes for a soup and salad and then an hour for sushi, even on lunch break. The guys at the sushi place in the village make better rolled sushi in 2 minutes.

Play by play here. Best edamame appetizer; roasted, spicy, perfect. Lights are TOOBRIGHT, they need to dim the overheads, ambience needs work. Staff was spread to thin for good service, drinks were slow and infrequent. Sashimi is nice and fresh; thick cuts. Maki rolls are beautiful, with incredible price. Dim the damn lights please! Five stars to dim the lights and get better service, I hate looking at bus tubs on tables while I eat.

Found this place by accident while here at the university for a Poutlry and Meat Class. Eric the owner and sushi gen and his wife recently opened this place and although I am from the west coast, the sushi was flavorful with all rolls being ½ off all day every day!

I’ll keep this short and sweet: Stick to the rolls. Everything else? Meh. I had a bento box and it was pretty lackluster. My friend also got a bento and it was more of the same. Also, students come here for sake bombs.

Sushi is not terrific but not terrible either. You’re always going to get a good sushi dinner here. And the rolls were 50% off which seemed only reasonable since $ 16 for a 8-piece roll seemed way too much. Get the War Eagle roll. At first, my friend didn’t want it at first but when she tried mine, she ordered another round for herself. It’s that good. Service was great and the place is cute.
