I went in with my daughter who works at Rocklin Road Animal Hospital, with our whole family who’s ages range from 8 to 51. We ALL had great service and loved our food and drinks! The staff is awesome and super friendly and they have something for everyone in their menu… even our pickiest eaters! We have family in Santa Cruz so to see Santa Cruz Coffee on the menu made me very happy :) I had the«Overloaded» Bagel off the carnivore section of the menu, on a cheese bagel. The bagels are SO fresh! The next day when I found out my daughter went without me I was a little jealous. I will definitely be going back. Side note: great outdoor seating.

We saw an article in the paper listing Baked and Brewed one of the top places to stop at on the way Reno, so here we are! Thank you Baked and Brewed Café for the great service, delicious bagels, pastries and the excellent coffee! Perfect pit stop on the way to Reno from the city. 5STARS! The drip coffee was great it was full of flavor and body, plenty strong and delicious. It is very rare that I go for a 2nd cup of coffee, and at Baked and Brewed I definitely got my free refill in for the road. Good quality coffee, breakfast and lunch menu with a variety of choices, house pastries baked from scratch, and great service by the friendly Husband/Wife owner duo! We will definitely be back!

First of all, you have to walk all the way to one side of the patio fence to get in, then walk back around to the other side to use the other door. It’s confusing. The layout feels really awkward. Then, the coffee just sucks. I haven’t had specialty drinks, but the drip coffee is pretty much the same as gas station coffee. It’s a great location. But the ambiance and coffee quality and layout are extremely lacking.

Welcome Baked & Brewed You have given your Auburn customers and anyone else blessed enough to walk through your doors the best service and fresh treats we could ask for. I have over 100 reasons to be thankful you’re at our service, The staff is delightful and professional. Your daily homemade baked goods are worth every calorie. the handfuls of chocolate chips in the fresh-baked cookies melt in your mouth. It’s worth coming back daily to see what the fresh cookie of the day is! The salads and sandwiches are fresh and very reasonably priced, also worth spreading the word about. The banana nut bread is so tasty it doesn’t even need to be toasted, you can even pre-order a loaf to take home and share with family. The owner Mike helps everyone not just customers, I have witnessed him offering a sandwich at no charge to a lady that was having a diabetic Low blood sugar spell a quarter block away from his restaurant, he helped her and at the same time made a lifelong customer of me Who witnessed his genuine concern. When very few businesses offer change for a dollar he gave a young disabled man change for bus fare and a breakfast goody to start his day. Mike’s heart and the staffs care are a true Pay it forward customer service. Thank you to Baked & Brewed!

I don’t like giving a review until I have been back a few times. I have eaten here three times for a business meeting and once with my wife. I will be back again. I give this a five star. Although there is room for improvement, I would make this café my location of choice in Auburn for a meal or coffee. Food: everything I have ordered has away tasted fresh with a high quality of ingredients. Pastrami sandwich was flavorful and a good portion of meat. Nice that they offer rye bread to complement pastrami. Slaw too if you want it. On another visit I ordered Tuna Salad. I was disappointed that they were out of tuna and ordered chicken instead. Chicken tasted fresh but not much flavor and a bit dry. Romaine Lettuce nicely cut. Salad could use a bit more zest. I am not a fan of air pots but the coffee is very good. I usually request a cup of coffee from the brew bar. Many selections of premium coffee. Well worth the few minute wait. Atmosphere: love the local charm and outdoor patio. Patio should have more umbrellas though. Nice décor. It is on a corner and nice to enjoy the buzz of a busy café and the energy of downtown Auburn. Staff: the staff here makes this place 5 star. It is clear they get it. Welcoming. They know many by name. It seems like they are having fun as a team. The owner is usually present and cares about his team and the customers. Price: plan on paying 11 bucks for a meal and drink

It’s okay. Cute spot and ideal location. Charm to the indoor décor. Coffee is fine. Sunday morning baked goods were good, but an unimpressive selection overall. Not a place I need to stop at again when passing through town, but not a bad experience.

Awsome café! Lemon Poppy seed muffin is killer, and they have a great selection of about 10 different roasts to choose from, and the manager is happy to make any of them in any style you could want! Definitely stopping in again.

Brew Bar: such good coffee! and faster than I’d expected. I’m hooked! Sandwiches: tried a few/missed the bar for me. Chicken pepper on ciabatta was bland, cold & dry. After ditching the top bread, adding salt & a side of Fire 9 sauce it was good to go. But maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. They have a LOT of sandwich choices. I’m sure there are winners in there that I just haven’t experienced yet. Soup: Tastes very homemade. Both kinds i tried needed salt– which i’m sure is intentional. they get an older crowd that’s probably sodium sensitive…(hellooooo Auburn) but overall– very very nice to have real soup out of a real pot instead of the typical garden variety you get that’s very boxed tasting. Salads: OBSESSED with the Fire 9 Chicken Caesar. It’s perfection. Want to try others. Baked Goods: Wow. Lots of gluten free variety day to day… and its actually tastes good. Shocking… truly! And the non gf stuff I’ve tried has been incredible. Pumpkin cranberry bread toasted with butter?! Yup. Get it. Atmosphere: they did a good job of turning an italian restaurant into a coffee shop… it kind of shows but it gets the job done. Not bad at all. Service: 5 stars. The owner has been in & attentive all 6 times I’ve visited. Each time he has interacted with me & either suggested menu choices, served the actual food, etc. The kids in there seem to have brains on & functioning! He’s training them well! They smile, and seem to have a good sense of what customer service is. All good! Go Auburn!

Finished work later then normal and on our way home we noticed it was open so we stopped by for hot chocolate. For 6:00am the place was almost full but we didn’t have to wait to long for our order. The spinach quiche was delicious and the steel oats was also very good. Definitely an early morning stop from now on. Oh yeah, the hot chocolate hit the spot to.

Just came in for breakfast croissant sandwiches. Apparently they only have bagels because the croissants didn’t sell. Impressed with the comforting ambiance. Friendly service. Sandwiches were great. Bagels were fresh they had quality bacon so I was quite satisfied.

Love the food, love the coffee. It seems like only high school students work here, and the patio is really hit or miss. Sometimes you get a good seat, sometimes 3 people will take up 4 tables in the only bit of shade for over an hour. Pet friendly though! Definite must for my family of dog lovers and our furry humans!

Wow, what a great spot in a nice little town for a coffee shop. This place has the most incredible pastries, and you have to try their loaded veggie bagel! Out of this world. The owners are a husband and wife duo, and they are two of the most courteous and kind people I’ve met on my trip. This place is a «must stop at» in my opinion and when I come back this way, I will go there again, and again, and again! You have the option of either eating/drinking inside or outside on the patio. We chose the patio and we got to people-watch in the older district of Auburn. What great people in this City, and what a great place to relax, get some java, and a meal.

My Fav Auburn Coffee Shop — This place is simply great all the way around. Great location. Great service. Great food. Great place to hang out. The owner(Mike) previously managed Courthouse Coffee — so all the good reviews you read about that place prior to approx 6 months ago are about when HE owned it. He moved and opened up Bake & Brew, and he’s proven that it’s owner/operator that makes the difference — not location. Baked & Brew improves on what he already had going at Courthouse Coffee. Anyway — as far as food goes: try out their Bail Out Bagels. Salads are also great. And the coffee is awesome. If you come here often the service will likely remember your name and even your favorite coffee drink. Really … I can’t say enough good things about this place. My only fear is that it’s going to become so popular that it’ll be too crowded to come too.

Nice outdoor seating, comfy atmosphere inside. Fast, friendly & efficient service. Everything my husband and I have had to eat here has been fantastic! The turkey is real turkey breast(not processed deli meat). The bacon is thick & cooked to perfection. The bagels are fresh & I’ve got to admit these are the best bagels I’ve had since the early 90’s when bagel shops that made their own bagels were commonplace. I hope that people get out & support this locally owned business.

I’m so glad they just moved down the street to downtown and are still open! Mike is a really nice person and trains his staff well. Their pastries are always delicious(and reasonable), coffees and iced teas very good. I like the vegan sandwiches, lots of flavors! Like the outdoor patio, too — very nice to see the local action while enjoying the shade. It’s a great place! I

For the first time, I brought Friend Lois Trainer along for her birthday lunch and L enjoyed her turkey sandwich noshing on the outdoor patio as I dug into my tuna sandwich and washed down same with an icy Arnold Palmer and enjoyed the delight of watching the street action. We were joined by another friend Donna Arz who raved about her morning experiences and we three enjoyed our happy experience consisting of a personal greeting upon arrival and prompt service with the tasty food all in the mix. On a hot day, sat inside and sipped on a delish peach smoothie.

The sever was great and the food was well prepared. They have a nice outside patio area. I brought my dog with me and they gave me a bowl of water for him. Next time I’m in this area I will make sure to stop here.
