The Brunswick stew is outstanding! Love the extra meat piled on top of the stew. The sliced sandwich had a great taste. Finished it off with a piece of lemon pie. First time I have eaten here but unfortunately probably the last since this institution is closing the doors forever in the next month. Worth stopping by soon!

Started the day at Prices Barbeque with eggs over easy, sausage, hash brown potatoes, and biscuits. All co MB es with drink. I had tea self serve half and half which is delish. Great breakfast for great price. This is a local pick for Barbeque. I like the chipped and potato salad is the best in town. Brunswick stew is great in cold winter day. Taste in BBQ vary but this is a solid product worth a stop when in Auburn… Say hi to Mr. Price when dining there!

This place was not very good for barbecue. I had the pulled pork which was very mushy. Looked nothing like pulled pork. My wife had a salad with chicken on it. The chicken was mush dumped on the salad. It actually looked like canned chicken smashed in barbecue sauce. It was so salty. The barbecue beans had very little barbecue taste. If you want real barbecue look elsewhere.

My favorite place to eat breakfast in AUburn… Every time I come home I t is my first stop, sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. I love the atmosphere, it’s a mix of students and others. The food is amazing…

Best cheapest breakfast in town. Always lots of students and locals humming in here. So Delish everytime. And looking over the counter into the bbq pit will make your mouth water. All that savory pork slow cooking all day can be smelled all through campus. Mmmmm

My wife and I went here expecting great bbq, as they were top 10 rated per . We had the chipped pork plate with potato salad and que beans. I should have lowered my expectations when I didn’t smell smoke. I didn’t taste smoke in the bbq either. While the meal was very reasonably priced, it was not worthy of a top ten statewide rating. In fact, I’m going to confer with my AU friends. I’ve a feeling it’s not even top ten in Lee county. Not terrible, not worth seeking out.

Price’s is a popular spot near campus to eat a solid breakfast of grits, eggs, bacon, biscuits etc. Prices are very competitive and the food is cooked to order. I always enjoy eating here when I’m in town and would recommend to others. It can get busy in mornings so stop in early.

A staple on the plains for years, never had a bad meal and we look forward to visiting whenever we come back to Auburn University. Their breakfast is phenomenal as well!

When you’re in the mood for saucy ribs, this is your place in Auburn. The pulled pork is good, but not the best.

I live in Birmingham but love to come back to the Barbecue House when home visiting my parents. No one in Birmingham makes a chipped BBQ sandwich that compares to the one here! Get it with pickles. I prefer no slaw, but those that put slaw on their sandwich say it is good too. Enjoy!

It had been a long time since I had eaten BBQ. A friend brought over a pound of chipped pork with sauce, buns, beans, and slaw. This was better than some of my favorite local BBQ dives. I read the other reviews and if you don’t like a mustardy yet sweet sauce, do not get the slaw. I LOVED it, but you might not. I love Chuck’s BBQ too but this was better by a smidgen. Everything was good, and when it was gone I missed it so much I had to go buy myself a sandwich to ease my withdrawals. Not sure of service/value as it was take out and I didn’t buy, but however much it is, it was worth it.

Was pretty good for non NC style bbq. I’m just not a big fan of heavy use of thick sauce stirred into the meat. Thick sauces are great on ribs and outside surfaces of meat chunks but not wild about it being so saucy it becomes soup or stew like. One thing for sure though they give you very large portions. It was about all I could do to eat it all. On the turkey sandwich my friend had, he loved it and said the bread was better than most deli’s bread. Better than Subway bread! He also enjoyed the bbq sauce and used it to dip the sandwich in.

Pork sliced with mustardy like bbq sauce on walmart bun, alright. Sweet tea, southern sweet. Bbq chopped chicken sandwich, geez did somebody make this in a crock pot? yuck! Turkey on hoagie, thickly sliced on a hoagie no sauce. I don’t know didn’t try it but my kid ate. But he’s an eater and if ain’t veggies he’ll eat it. BBq rib platter, geez what are these? lamb ribs, dainty 4 or 5 a scoop of patato salad & baked beans 12 $. Brunswick stew, thick like chili except gross. So food ok not great. People find joy in different foods, especially if they haven’t been cooking since they were 12 and can’t tell when it is good or bad. Service, noboby there but us, little girl taking our order in a hurry with batittude!

Reasonably priced and good. With a very limited menu, you know that what you are going to get is quality. The sliced pork was very good and the baked beans were some of the best I’ve ever had. I can see why it’s been around for a long time!

Best BBQ in Auburn, and that is up against some stiff competition. Their sauce is more the thin, «mustardy» type of sauce, which is what I prefer. While most people would automatically go for the pork or ribs at a BBQ joint, ever since I tried the BBQ chicken sandwich, I just can’t force myself to get anything else. Fantastic. It is shredded with sauce mixed in just like the pulled pork sandwiches. You can’t go wrong, either way, though. Oh, and they have the best Brunswick stew on Earth. Literally. If you are from out of town and have never been to Price’s BBQ House, do yourself a huge favor and take a trip there. You will not be disappointed.

— Look for the pig with the Auburn jersey on…(War Eagle!) This is one of Auburn’s premier BBQ places, Barbecue House is also known to some as Price’s. It’s been here a long time, since 1978. The food is very good, students usually arguing over which is better: the barbecue or the breakfast. Honestly, I’d say to try both. The sweet tea at Barbecue House is excellent, though not my drink of choice, having grown up on Coca~Cola. Luckily here, the barbecue chicken, turkey, and pork can be ordered by the pound, a must for football gamedays. Barbecue House is definitely on the top of what I affectionately call the«Auburn BBQ Crawl», where over the course of being here, one has to try all of the local barbecue places(of which there are several). ~~~ Happy eating! :)

I saw Barbeque House on a list of the Top 10 Must-Eats in Auburn-Opelika. I stopped by thinking I’d get some kind of memorable meal. Not so much. I chose the Barbeque House platter which comes with pork and two sides. Pork is offered chipped or sliced. I’m not sure what chipped is — it’s not as chunky as chopped — but that’s what I chose. The meat was delicious and flavorful and there was a generous portion, but the baked beans looked and tasted straight out of a Van Camps can. And the Brunswick stew was pitiful, barely a thin dark gruel, with barely discernible pieces of corn and tomato and minimal meat. It was flavorless. Adding Tabasco sauce and extra pork from my plate didn’t do enough to make it edible. It also had a slightly burnt taste as if it had been kept over heat too long. A couple of slices of white bread and a heap of dill pickles rounded out the plate. Disappointing to say the least and not the legendary meal I was expecting.

GETTHIS: Que Stew Soup which is basically chili and pork but oh my gosh, if I came back here, I’ll order 2 of them. The pork is the best thing here. Don’t bother with the other stuff. DONOTGET: BBQ slaw. It tastes like coleslaw added with lots of mustard unless if that’s your thing. They also give you lots of white bread which I think is suppose to go with the meat you order. I don’t recommend eating the bread with the meat. This place is really quiet inside with Fox News going on in the background. The employees here are also really nice and helpful especially if you want to sit somewhere where chairs are blocking you. They move them for you! It’s a little bit pricey if you’re not into sharing.
