Easy parking. We were quickly seated and had a friendly waiter. Food was very good, and lots of it! There were lots of options and nothing was overly priced. Great place for family and friends, I’m leaving very happy!

Walked in at 8:30 and was seated. Left at 8:50 after no one bothered to come to our table. Probably for the best, since the place was dead on a Friday night and the table was sticky.

I’ve been to Bentley’s several times when I’m in the area & not in the mood for one of the chain restaurants. It’s not terrible but it’s not great either. I honestly think the mashed potato is the best thing on the menu. The«chef» at least understands how to cook a medium rare steak but apparently has never learned that a simple thing like salt & pepper seasoning goes a long way so I spend half my meal time shaking it on every bite myself because it’s so bland. I tried the Shepard Pie once… never again. The gravy that was on top(really?) tasted like the gravy from a Salisbury steak TV dinner(Yuk!). The décor reminds me of a 1970’s country cottage & it’s an effort not to go in my pj’s. Is good mashed potatoes & mediocre steak enough to go back for? Unfortunately, since I haven’t come across any dining options that are better than chili’s in the area, yes I’ll be back.

We were headed up to Auburn today to get an EZPass and searched online for places to eat in the area. Bentley Pub caught our eye and so we decided to give them a go. From the hostess at the front door to our waitress to another staff member who brought our food I must say that they were friendly and personable. We were comfortable right through the door. The décor was fabulous in my opinion though I know it wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste. Everything looked clean and well tended. Our waitress came by our table very shortly after we were seated. She was bright and engaging and didn’t have a bad thing to say about anything on the menu. That made our job more difficult! We ordered coffees and water(no lemon) while perusing the menu. Our waitress returned with our coffee but sans the water.(She did have a soda for another table on the same tray as our coffee) She then came back to us to take our food order. With the intention of sharing; I ordered the open-face, homemade meatloaf sandwich with loaded, twice baked potato casserole and he ordered fish and chips. A couple of trips back and forth past our table still didn’t have the water arriving so my husband mentioned it as she passed by and it arrived shortly after that… with lemon! The food arrived in short order and truly, everything had great flavor and the portions were more than adequate to fill our bellies and for the price paid. Sadly, as with a previous comment I read, it didn’t arrive to us as hot as it should have been. That was a relatively minor disappointment as the flavor certainly wasn’t lost with the tepid temperature of the food but we both knew that it would have all tasted better if it had arrived piping hot. Shortly after we began eating my husband requested a refill on his coffee. As with the water order this took its time getting to us. Our waitress was very friendly but a bit scattered. It would have received a solid 4 heading into 5 territory had the food been hot instead of warm and had the waitress not missed a few times on the items we requested. Yes, we’d go back.

In town for the night on business, I asked the front desk where I can get some good non-chain food nearby… the first thing out of his mouth was Bentley. Since I travel alone, I like to sit at the bar and enjoy the banter of others and chit chat with the bartenders. Upon walking in, I noticed the bar was pretty full, with just 3 seats available in the corner. I saddled up and got a quick«hello» from the only bartender. I could tell she was busy and somewhat annoyed with the only drunk guy in the place, but nonetheless managed a half-smile. I had the grilled salmon, which was just meh. Besides being drowned in balsamic glaze, it tasted fresh and the mashed potatoes with spinach were consistent and creamy. It took quite a while to get the bartender’s attention for a refill and the check, but overall it was a good experience.

Excellent service. Chicken tenders were crispy, yet plump and juicy. Other appetizer combo delicious and well portioned. Clam chowder soup was delicious! Tender clams, served with small cubed potatoes in a creamy sauce. Definitely worth the stop! Highly recommend on a cold snowy day!

We were aiming for a local restaurant instead of a chain. I later found out, this actually is a chain. On the outside, the building looks nice, when you walk in, it looks OK, but you get a sense of cheesiness. The wait staff was friendly enough, but the food was not. They bring you a bowl of popcorn when you sit down. You know, like you normally get bread, but here you get popcorn. When that happened, I was worried about the rest of our meal. It’s pretty gross and strange to get a bowl of popcorn at your lunch table. If you love movie popcorn and don’t worry about germs, than you’ll be happy. My burger was undercooked and lacked taste. The fries were pathetic, no flavor, nothing at all special. The kid’s chicken fingers were fried beyond recognition and my kids would not even eat them. I would not recommend this as a good place to eat.

We visited the pub on a Friday night and we happened upon it by chance. My wife and I were in town for a wedding and we were looking for a place to eat and grab a beer. We were driving around and we saw this place, so we decided to stop in. The service was good, the food was really good, and it was a nice place. We were pleasantly surprised and if we happen to end up back in Auburn we will be visiting the Bentley Pub again!

I was driving to New Jersey for business and got hungry so I pulled off and found this place close to the highway. I was craving buffalo chicken and there was nothing on the menu that really hit exactly what I wanted. I asked if they could do a custom sandwich and the obliged. This place exceeded my very low expectations and while it’s not something I would go out of my way to get to it is definitely someplace I would stop at again if I happen to be passing around lunchtime.

Discovered this place quite by accident when venturing to go to a place I hadn’t been to. The food is pretty standard pub fare, which for the record puts them firmly at a 4⁄5 and the wait staff were friendly and fast.

Very impressed with this place. I remember coming here a bunch of times when I was a kid and it was called Picadilly. For some reason I never really loved it then, but I decided to try it out under the new name and loved it! Food was excellent and the beer was cheap! Service was great. I’ll be back!

My son and I visited Bentleys pub for their 3 year anniversary bash. Our server Danielle was attentive and friendly. I ordered the twin filets that were on special and they were cooked perfectly. A woman walked around passing out free appetizers, that were delicious. But the part is my visit that blew me away was the staff. Any time I finished something, a server would grab the plate within seconds. When discussing with my son if we wanted a dessert, a server over heard me and brought a menu. The manager was very attentive and friendly visiting all the tables. Over all an amazing experience, I will be back.

Bentley gets one more star from me than the last time because they have extended their bar hours a bit from what they used to be. The bar seems to be PACKED all the time here … which is odd because it is impossible to find a seat at/around the bar sometimes when the restaurant is empty. Seems to be a spot for regulars who stop in to drink and grab a bite, which is always a good sign that you will have a good experience(until you need a seat). The bar is my favorite place here … the tables in the restaurant side I am not a fan of because they have this pendant light at each table which hangs down to about eye level and there is a super bright bulb in there. I’ve literally left the restaurant with a light bulb image that follows me for an hour or so. I feel like softer, higher lighting would be better in the restaurant part. I personally love the wood paneling and 1980’s sportsman kind of vibe(plaid carpets, etc.) here. It hasn’t changed much on the inside since the days when it was The Picadilly.(nor has the menu) It is very comfortable and homey feeling. The food here … I hate to say it, but unless you pick the bar food type of fried items(boneless wings, fried cheese sticks, potato skins, nachos) the food here is not amazing. I’ve had fried clams that came out in one big chunk, a pretzel that was pretty much like a grocery store pretzel with mustard dip, and one of the fattiest corned beef ruebens ever here. Having said that, when you stick to the bar food classics … the Boneless buffalo wings are some of the best I’ve had. The portion is pretty big and they use the best REAL blue cheese dressing with big crumbles in it. This is HUGE! Other places that use that generic bottle blue cheese dressing with Hot Wings are useless. Nachos are loaded. French onion soup is cheesy and great. The beer here is pretty cheap. The monthly special is the best deal, but its usually Coors or Miller Light which gives me a headache. They have a few interesting beers like Spencer Trapist, Shipyard Pumpkin, etc. and classics like Guiness and Yueng Ling. ‘The draft beers are always changing to keep it interesting. Bar service is slow and sometimes a bit spacey … but that is to be expected in a crowded bar. There are also tables to the side with a waitress. Oddly enough, the bar is carved wood and kind of bendy, which makes eating soup on it a little challenging if you are sitting in a spot that bends. Don’t expect great food if you go off the ‘staples’ menu … but do expect good times with locals. This is the type of place you want to go when you get home from work and don’t feel like cooking. I like the Bently Pub … it’s growing on me more. One of the most comfortable bars I’ve been in.

The atmosphere is cozy, with knotty pine on the walls, hanging plants and soft lighting. The service was excellent. Marge, our waitress, was on the ball. Our drinks came quickly and when we needed her she wasn’t far. She was talkative and cheerful but not intrusive. The food was the weak point. My meatloaf was overdone on the outside and underdone on the inside. The spices didn’t come through, leaving it wanting for flavor. My grandmother’s buffalo wings were more spicy than we wanted and required blue cheese to be edible. Overall the place was a pleasant experience, and I’d be willing to give it another shot in case the kitchen was off on a sunday night.

Had a quiet birthday dinner with my husband and two sons(both under the age of 8.) It was crowded on a Saturday night, which is a good thing! The menu was short and sweet and I’m ok with not having a billion choices. I got the seafood scampi special, Hubby had a burger and the boys both got mac n cheese. Food was delicious, but Hubby’s burger was PILED with hot jalapeño peppers. It’s mentioned on the menu but wow… look out. One thing that I wasn’t crazy about was that our booth was very cramped. In fact, one side of the restaurant feels quite cramped. Next time I may ask for a table instead. The check came to $ 36(I had a coupon for a free entrée for my birthday) so that was an inexpensive evening out. Nothing super-special, but a decent night overall.

Typical pub fare– standard appys, sandwiches, burgers, dinners, salads, soups, etc. Three of us stopped in for dinner on the way back from Lunenburg — we ordered fish and chips(freaking massive), a fish entrée, and I had a Cobb Salad with buffalo chicken. Everything was workmanlike in quality– no klinkers and no wowsers, just solid pub grub. Decent beer selection, I had a Hookers Watermelon. Service was fine and my buddy wagered $ 10 in Keno and won $ 8 — not too shabby.
