Went here last week looking for recommendations for a wine that wouldn’t give me a headache. I purchased the clerk’s first recommendation and brought it home — unfortunately it gave me a headache, however I brought back the remaining portion of the bottle and they gave me a full refund and another recommendation. Fortunately the second recommendation was excellent and did not give me a headache. I will be back for more «risk-​free» recommendations.

Be Careful at BevMo Auburn if you care about prices. They do have a wide selection or wine and booze (not so much beer) but in my review in December 2014 I found a drug store (CVS) with better prices on most items I checked ($ 2 to $ 4 for 750 ml) …such as Bailey’s, Grey Goose and Chandon champaign… and you might get more courteous service at CVS or elsewhere.
Also, one of the cashiers was not knowledgeable about the «new policy» of puttiing discounts in the computer only visible when and if you check out. After a rude price check review she insisted the total price was as indicated… and the $ 2 discount advertised on the shelf was not accurate… I checked with the person who said she was manager (Nora D.) and the discount was applied at my checkout … no fraud there… just a rude untrained checkout clerk.
Also, be careful with the «second bottle for 1 or 5 cents» sale… you’ll never find any of those «obscure» wines any where else … and if you do certainly it will be at much less cost than the Bevmo first bottle price… except perhaps at a restaurant with their table markup… that I found to be the same as the first bottle price on one bottle we found.
Don’t fall for that one. Second bottle for next to nothing: Yea olé: mark it up then mark it down trick.

They have a decent selection of beers, wines, and alcohol. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their selection of beers could be larger.
