When you visit family and you are a vegan you just know going in you might not get to eat whats prepared. I’m cool with it and never try to make a fuss.
Yesterday a beautiful chocolate raspberry cake appeared out of nowhere and I was told it was Vegan! You might imagine I was jumping up and down on the inside but trying not to look to pumped When I said, «oh you didn’t have to do that.» Sometimes the family comes through and wants to try something new anyway!
The cake was delicious! Very rich vegan chocolate with just a hint of raspberry separating the layers! The frosting was definitely a hit in my book and after I devoured my 2^nd massive piece I thought I better pack it in for the night!
This cake went great with the beer I was drinking but would have gone even better with a glass of Almond Milk!
It’s so cool small town Indiana has a place where you can order vegan baked goods, worth the trip from Iowa just for dessert!

Their Cookies are delicious. My clients had been telling me I had to go to Cookie Nook and try some cookies. I finally stopped by and bought a dozen to take back to the office and they were demolished by my team and customers within minutes. The flavors are amazing. You eat one and are left craving more.
