Horrible! Ordered lunch for my employees today, $ 200 order, they gave us half of the order and we did not know until back at the store. Food was horrible as well, old tuns and bread… barely any meat on a steak and cheese… Never Again. they have messed up more then right…

This is the better of the shops in the area. They recently redid their menu and i love some of the new additions. The staff here is always friendly and very helpful.

Kind of expensive for ‘fast food’. I stopped at D’Angelos for the first time in a couple months for a sub. This after eating Subway sandwiches for almost a month because of the $ 4 footlong deal. I think D’Angelo is good for a person with a smaller appetite, but for those who enjoy large subs … you will have to lighten your wallet quite a bit. When I went in, I was shocked to see that large subs are around $ 8.50 for most. Even the simple subs such as steak and cheese or chicken salad are $ 8.50. A large tuna sub will run you around $ 8. For some of the specialty subs, you are looking at around $ 10 give or take. Thats kind of expensive for a sandwich, especially in a place like Auburn which has a lot of sub and pizza shops. The subs are good … I like the bread better than Subway but I am not sure that the actual sub was any different. Subway is around $ 5 — $ 7 for a large(footlong) sub. I think the large subs at D’Angelos are a little over a foot but can cost anywhere from $ 8 — $ 11.50($ 23 for the lobster sub). The Subway cold subs weren’t much different at all from D’Angelos unless you count the fact that at Subway you can pick your toppings which are all laid out in front of you. At D’Angelo choosing many toppings is almost discouraged as they hide the toppings away from the counter and you have to request them. The hot subs are night and day vs. Subway. At Subway, all the hot subs are microwaved and then toasted upon request. At D’Angelo, everything is made fresh on a grill or in the oven. The taste of a steak and cheese at D’Angelo beats Subway HANDSDOWN but I don’t know about a lot of the local sub shops. Overall, if you don’t mind paying for a little higher quality sub … D’Angelos is a good bet. However, I do tend to think they are about $ 1-$ 2 overpriced per sub for what you get. The $ 23 lobster sub … thats pure craziness. The shop seems clean and the staff is capable. I hate tip jars and they actually put TWO of them out at D’Angelo … just in case you miss one. However the shop is not very comfortable to eat in. It seems more like a cheap cafeteria than a restaurant/sub shop.

Tired of the same olé fast food, and with a coupon in hand, I stopped in for a grinder. No microwaving here. I got to watch my steak and cheese be made to order. Sandwich was made the way I requested, bread was fresh and overall was satisfying. It was a good change of pace but a bit expensive for what it is but a good change of pace.
