Denny’s

Been there once & will never return! Extremely overpriced food. Dirty interior that actually smelled dirty.

For late at night in Lewiston/​Auburn its not bad, plus they have gluten free English muffins. Service tonight is better than some nights I’ve been here.

Arrived, took my seat, thanksgiving day. Surprised it was pretty slow, expected much more people. Immediately was seated.
Sat down, pulled out laptop, looked for WiFi. Didn’t see any. Asked, it was called ‘Linksys’ *sigh*. Wouldn’t work. Asked server, suggested I try the WiFi of the business next door as theirs sometimes works. But it didn’t, so I had to use my phone as a hotspot. If you have WiFi, name it after your business and make sure it works.
Ordered, received food fairly promptly. Toast was COLD and SLATHERED in butter, just immediately after receiving.
Ice Coffee had cream, no sugar.
Potatoes could not have been more insulting.
Omelet was decent.
Oh, and coffee I could swear was a dirty glass…
I go to Denny’s on a very regular basis in South Portland so I know what I expect.
Oh and this seat is busted all to hell. This isn’t the first time I have been here and been displeased, I swear every seat in this place is damaged. Im 27 and this kills by back, I can only imagine how little old lady’s feel.
Server was pleasant enough.
So yeah, some good, more bad. All in all not the best experience.
Please start by maintaining your seating, fix your WiFi if your going to advertise it on the door and just try some maintenance to start.

I love Denny’s! My friend and I always come here and know we can expect a peaceful environment, friendly waitresses, good food, and great prices.

Only one star because I have no idea whether the food or service was decent because I walked in and the place smelled like stale urine and walked right back out.

Great coffee. Service a bit slow and server was blah. But this is what I come to expect at this Dennys. Put a smile on why dont ya’. Breakfast here is what it is. Inexpensive, a bit greasy but ample servings.

This Denny’s serves Denny’s food. That’s fine. It is what it is. My problem isn’t so much the food here. It’s the hours of waiting (I’ve waited up to two hours for a meal once) I was very unhappy, we got our meal comped. The place isn’t attractive looks and athethetically pleasing, but again I can forgive that, it’s denny’s after all. No it’s the bathrooms, they are so damn gross. Clean those things! I’ve been to other denny’s before and this is the worst one I’ve gone to.

I have been here twice since moving to Auburn. It smells like a nursing home and is less than sanitary. The food wasn’t as good as other Denny’s that I’ve been to around Portland. The wait staff on the days that I went we’re not attentive and we ended up waiting every step of our meal. I vow to not go back to this location.

It’s Dennys. I’m sure you know what you’re getting into if you come here past 9 PM.
It’s good for people watching, lots of drunks, Dennys quality food.
Waitstaff is usually pretty friendly and funny.
But yeah man, ‘dem people. Come here with a group and just open up your ears to the insane rambling you’ll hear on a Saturday night.
If you’re afraid of hearing a wasted overweight middleage male yelling about how he’d «I’d slap that bitch in the face and sew my foreskin back on myself», then maybe you don’t want to arrive between the hours of 9 PM and 3 AM.

I am finicky about what I would rate Five Stars. The best of the best would not usually rate that in my book… mainly cuz I tend to show up when business is not at it’s prime. Work first, play later… something like that.
But 2 in the morning, how can you go wrong? Long wait lines of red eyed people chomping at the bit for them to be «next». And once it happens, bacon and eggs seem to be food sent from heaven after a night of dancing and alcoholism.
It’s a scene from the first Star Wars movie, the famous bar scene, and my god, I have a leading role just stuffing my face and slurring my words.
The servers know what they are up against, and they handle it quite well.
Sure you will be in for a long wait, but catching glimpses of people you only saw in a professional environment now drooling on themselves waiting for Bacon, well they have become one of me, and I, one of them.

This Dennys is not one of the greatest but its in a convenient location and has plenty of parking. The food is ok, the breakfasts are great but it becomes a big hangout especially after the bars and clubs close in the area. I would say this place gets 50% of its customers between the hours of 11pm and 3am.
