Another store I hadn’t heard of before but we stopped by to pick up a few things. There were quite a few good deals here with some name brands and other things. Nicer than the 99 cent stores and I would come back.

For a dollar store it’s really neat and tidy! They literally feel like they have everything! My favorite items are swim floaties for the kiddos, glow stick necklaces and bracelets for camping, kitchen towels and utensils, soap and lotions and socks. This is my go to spot for camping and trailer items.

Just visited this store for the first time yesterday. I went specifically to see if they had any preschool items for my three year old. The store was very clean and well stocked. The school section was great and I found much more than I expected. I ended up with books for both toddlers, décor for the playroom, as well as preschool items.

I’m going to back up chronologically, to my stay in «the Gold Country» area of California. Dollar Tree can be both efficient and depressing. I usually go in to get some toiletries and travel sizes(to conform to TSA regulations) and not much else. There are some good deals for these types of products. This is a very large store for a quaint town that has all of about 14,000 people, and a town that is not exactly bargain basement priced in terms of housing. Live in Auburn or live in Sacramento? Don’t even ask. The people working here were really nice. In line, there was a disgruntled kid in front of me who decided to start an altercation because I was starting to put my stuff down on the belt. He began to curse. I told him that I was sorry if the economy was stressing him out and that the area was too low density for him to experience this kind of angst and hostility. He finished his transaction, took off, and the cashier apologized to me, which she didn’t have to do. When I went outside, he was cursing at someone else in the parking lot from his Ford truck which had one of those«rolls» of hay in the back. This is extremely atypical in quiet Auburn CA, and does not reflect on the store, but it was both perplexing and funny. I’m taking off two stars because, when you get these kinds of prices, you generally don’t get very good selection. Also, I’ve found that their crappy AA batteries, which seem like a steal when you are buying them, sputter and die before the equivalent ones I’ve bought at Safeway, or at a chain supermarket or drug store.

This is a great Dollar Tree! I am moving to the area and stopped here to pick up things I realized I needed in an empty house(can opener, sponges, etc). They had everything I needed. They have a large kitchen and cleaning supply area. They also have a huge party and holiday area. For a small store they pack a lot into it. Huge parking lot as well. Loses a star for the isle situation. They are small isles and I am guessing they got a truck that day. The boxes were lining the isles and a good number of times we had to completely back out of an isle to let someone else come through. We went there on Tuesday. So, I would recommend don’t visit them on their truck day. Other then that, great store! Will be going back!
