I am writing this review because my previous attempts to contact Edible Arrangements about my concerns have been largely unsuccessful. When I called the Auburn location itself, I received either an endless pre-recorded message that suddenly cut off, or no one picked up at all. I submitted a written complaint through the website, and an e-mail informed me that I would hear from the store manager within 48 hours. As it has now been over 72 hours without contact of any kind(no e-mail or telephone call/voicemail), I feel that I should voice my concerns here. Despite having positive experiences with Edible Arrangements Delivery in the past, I am not sure I feel comfortable spending my money(and time!) on them in any capacity… On Saturday 4/30, I purchased a small Berry Chocolate Bouquet with Dipped Pineapples and Bananas. As this was a fortieth wedding anniversary gift, I also purchased an Anniversary Bundle Balloon, one dozen Swizzle Apple Fruit Truffles, and eight Salted Caramel Apple Wedges. I placed the order online, paying by credit card and arranging for pick-up at 1PM on the following day(Sunday 05⁄01). I intended to pick it up on my way to the anniversary party. Edible Arrangements confirmed the order via e-mail, and I felt confident about this experience so far. My husband Will and I were running late on Sunday(we were lost), so we arrived at Edible Arrangements at 1:30PM. I tried calling Edible Arrangements about this minor change in circumstances, but no one answered. The genuinely nice first employee behind the counter said that she needed an additional ten minutes to finish our bouquet. We took a walk around the mall and came back to find that another employee had come in, but our bouquet was not ready. When I asked the second employee about my order and explained that we were in a hurry to get to a family party, the employee made no effort to apologize, or offer additional assistance or alternatives. As we sat on a wooden sill outside of the store, we observed both employees take the time to sell individual strawberries and take personal phone calls. Neither acknowledged our presence. The arrangement was finally ready at 2:20, and I soon learned that the anniversary balloon and swizzle fruit truffles were not included. I was incredibly stressed before, during, and after the anniversary party, even though my aunt and uncle enjoyed their gift(I did not tell them what was not included). I am frustrated that I did not get the«extras» that I paid for, and I am upset that the staff disregarded the pick-up time with no consideration for my time and concerns. I would suggest heading elsewhere for your special occasion gifts.

I went online through a corporate perks site at work, which offers points for shopping at venders signed up with them. I found edible arrangements in a year my mom has lost a son, been diagnosed with Cancer and it was her birthday I wanted to send her something cute and that would brighten her day. I thought edibles was a perfect idea the web site was a little confusing so I called the store and was updated from a $ 59 arrangement to a $ 73 arrangement with free delivery and I was excited to have mom get this cute blue cupcake full of all chocolate dipped fruit for an extra $ 8 of course and have her be happy to have gotten a delivery on her day. I checked in with the store twice via phone to make sure it was set make adjustments and it was going to be delivered becuase same day delivery is often sketchy I would have picked it up as the store is on my way to moms. They assured me it was made and on the truck for delivery. I got to my moms around 8:15pm est. and it had not arrived I called the store and was asked to hold for over 20 minutes. When the employee came back on the phone I was told the driver was unreachable but that they were not delivering after 9pm as it was against the law. I explained I needed it today I would come pick it up and I was told it was brought to and left at the Worcester location which was closed. I was put back on hold and told the manager was being called and I was offered delivery by 11am and a full refund they felt bad the girl on the phone I could tell was under trained as she was broken down in tears and barely able to refund my card. I was then put on another extended over 35 minute hold while she spoke to the manager and tried to fix the credit card issue. This morning I woke up and checked my bank not only was I refunded I was then debited for another $ 67.91 plus the $ 13.09 I was not even originally being charged at all, and the arrangement still has not made it to my mothers house its now 1pm est. I was told I would be refunded again and that they would have the arragement there by this afternoon for something that costs so much money I am highly dissapointed and can’t even imagine businesses thriving if this is the representation they are given by employees. I now am waiting to see if I am refunded properly and if the arrangement ever shows up. I guess another review to follow if they make it right I would be satisfied and give them another chance however at this point I might need some chocolate fruit to indulge in after the stress levels being forced to defcon 100,000,000. All I really hope is the arrangement makes it and I am credited properly and not redebited again. If I was to give advice to any one doing this maybe give more than same day as the delivery standard even though it is offered. Thanks Elizabeth :(

Edible Arrangements in Auburn, MABEWARE!!! I placed an order for an arrangement on March 5th for a birthday delivery of March 10th to a business and I included the business times of operation. One might think that 5 days is enough notice to have your arrangement delivered in a timely manner however, Auburn Massachusetts has failed me. I am in Idaho and wanted to send a birthday treat to a special person across the US so you can imagine my frustration when i called customer service and the lady told me it looked like my order had been Cancelled/Rejected. When I check the online Order Status, it said Out for Delivery however no one at the actual store location could confirm that it had been delivered or not. They also informed me that if I didnt want the delivery attempted tomorrow that I could cancel the order.(Doesnt this defeat the purpose of having something delivered to someone on their BIRTHDAY?) I question just how many deliveries this location had today because when I called and mentioned a delivery, they knew exactly the order i was referring to, therefor there is no excuse why this ONE delivery couldnt have happened ONTIME, ONTHECORRECTDAY, especially when I placed the order FIVEDAYSAGO!!! This location is only 4 miles from my delivery address so I am furious that the order was NOT delivered on time! My friends and family members have regularly used Edible Arrangements for special occasions however this was my first time. And last time and dont worry, I will spread the word. See previous reviews…

(UPDATEFROMMYPREVIOUSREVIEW) I got a call today from one of the regional directors of Edible Arrangements(in addition to my Unilocal!review, I also wrote a strongly-worded [as Jack Dawson would say] letter to Edible Arrangements about this.) She apologized for all the problems and offered to send bigger arrangements to me and Molly free of charge. I told her that wasn’t necessary, but she was insistent, and I figured I might as well take them. She was very emphatic that, when a delivery is unsuccessful, the driver is supposed to call the customer IMMEDIATELY and leave a door tag letting the customer know that they were there. Obviously this was not done in my case, and she was very apologetic about that. I told her I just could not believe how high the prices are. She stated that their arrangements are all hand-made and hand-dipped in chocolate(if chocolate is used), and that all arrangements are made to order, and this is what drives the prices up. I still don’t really get it, but at least she was respectful and courteous, and made an effort to explain. She also told me she just hired a bunch of new employees and is struggling a bit to get them up to speed because they are so new – but she said this was no excuse; the job was not done properly this time and for that she wanted to make amends. I manage a customer-service team myself and I know how tough it can be to deal with these issues. Lower-level employees aren’t paid as much and sometimes don’t feel like their job is very important, so they slack off somewhat. This must be a nightmare for her – though she downplayed that idea when I mentioned it. I gave her my work address, and a couple of hours later, I got a huge, $ 76 Halloween arrangement for free. I just got off the phone with Molly and she received the same thing! Though I feel a bit like I’ve been«bought off», I am amending my review and upgrading them to «A-OK». The person I spoke to did not ask me to change my Unilocal!review; in fact, she did not mention it at all. I still can’t quite say«I’m a fan,» but I am happier than I was. Dave
