Fireside Inn & Suites

This review is not for the actual stay– because I actually wasn’t given a room.
I made a reservation in July for August and received a confirmation email with reservation number. Imagine my surprise when I drive all the way there and they had no record of my reservation and did not have any rooms. They offered no assistance. I sent an email later asking for someone to contact me– and I have heard absolute nothing. Their customer service is as bad as their reservation program.
If you are crazy enough to stay here– I caution you to confirm and double confirm your reservation!

I hosted an event in there large hall… the event coordinator was very nice they had some odd people working the front desk. The catering company they hired provided pretty good food and they were overall pretty accommodating.

This is the worst motel I have ever been to! I don’t even know where to begin. Super, super, super dirty. No bed bugs but a lot of other bugs. Waitress at hotel sneezed into her hand and then took a glass down to pour a drink in, the shower would go from burning hot to ice cold, breakfast (which isn’t much more than pop tarts) would run out of food, staff argues behind desk in front of customers, pool hours are not good, location is loud. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

If possible, I would give this motel a minus star. The Fireside Inn is the second worst hotel I have stayed in, second only to a tired Holiday Inn in the chemical plant region of New Jersey. This hotel caters to truck drivers and heavy construction workers.
The room was tired and very dirty. Not just «We didn’t vacuum today», but the carpet was greasy with motor oil dirty. Within minutes our white socks were black. Wallpaper was peeling of the wall, and mold was left on the grout in the bath tub. The bathroom floor was slippery with film!
When decided to leave at 11:30 pm, the front desk politely charged us for the room, and never asked why we were checking out so late! I assume this happens all the time. We had planned to stay two nights, we stayed none!
Avoid this hotel!
