J&J Nails & Spa

I stopped into J&J after reading that a complimentary neck and shoulder massage came with every service. I stopped in at around 3 pm on a Thursday and there were 3 or 4 other customers, but I didn’t have to wait for my pedicure. I chose my color from their large selection and Cindy, my nail technician, got right to work.
They have several pedicure packages and I chose the Hot Stone Spa. It included detailed nail treatment, a callous removing treatment, hot towel treatment, a 10 minute foot massage, and a hot stone massage. While my toes were under the dryer, I received a neck and shoulder massage. Everything was clean and nothing was rushed.
They were pretty busy by the time I left, so I would recommend making an appointment or calling ahead. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice place, very clean. Make sure you call ahead. They have a little trouble with English so make sure you have a good clear phone connection and you speak clearly. Very polite people. 5 $ more for a basic pedicure (30) than the place I usually go. It’s in the same plaza as salon centric and I needed some supplies for work so I called and asked for an appointment for a pedi and some gel overlay nails (not Shellac polish) in a half hour. I got there and 2 people were already getting pedicures a mom and her two kids were waiting ahead of me I guess, even though I called and made an appt. There were only three people working apparently. I told them I was meeting a friend, she was supposed to show up in 25 mins after I got there so we could have pedicures together. So many people kept showing up and one of the women that was a client getting serviced kept making obnoxious comments about people wanting their nails done, «oh look another one». That turns me off immediately, I know it isn’t their fault but it still bugs me. I apparently had to have my pedi first even though I wanted to get my nails done first. Pedi was ok but the water was freezing cold. Like so cold I canceled the nail appointment because I didn’t want my friend to wait for me or have to suffer through a cold not relaxing pedicure. TBH I probably could have done a better job myself with a scrub and callus remover and my bucket with hot water. But I like to have a nice relaxing time with my best friend once every month and a half or so. I usually color her roots once we finish with our pedis sometimes we grab lunch or dinner. After my toenails were painted I shoved my feet so fast into my boots and left within minutes. We left and went to our usual place they took us immediately, like always and she got her pedi and I got my fingernails done. I fixed my polish myself once I got home. They don’t do acrylics and the pedi was cold and expensive for what it was; I really don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

I went in at 6:15pm and asked to have a fill and one nail fixed. After much chatter and laughing I was told they didn’t have time for me. I asked if they were closing soon (knowing that they are scheduled till 7;30) and they proceeded to chat and laugh. I went to leave and I was told to sit in at a station where three of the 4 employees gawked and laughed at my nails. The one girl then pulled off the broken nail and proceeded to only fix the one nail. Part way through I was told they only do gel nails and that they don’t have time to fix my other nails. I was only charged 5 dollars… but I’m sorry. If I show up an hour and 15 minutes before you close, I expect my nails to be done. I will tip higher for you to stay late, but since when can businesses afford to turn away good paying customers. A co-​worker of mine was there and this morning she told me she couldn’t believe how they treated me, so I don’t feel this review is an overreaction on my part.

Went here for manicure after reading reviews. For $ 15 got a great manicure that included hot wax hand wrap and a shoulder massage. Everything was meticulous including the salon itself. Very pleased with the manicure, service and polish selections. Also, after 10 manicures you get one free. Will definitely return. Recommend making appointment ahead of time.

Had my nails done here after hearing great things. They shaped my nails nicely but this place is very $$$. First off they don’t have air brushing for french manicures and they can only do them very thin as they use the design colors for them. Second, a gel fill with gel paint is $ 55 and if you don’t get gel paint they do a gel fill with regular paint and a paint topcoat (not clear gel like most places) so it definitely does not last until your next fill.

I got my very best gel nails ever! I highly recommend this salon!!! This salon is extremely clean and all the staff are pleasant and courteous. My nail technician was an absolute perfectionist about my nails. it was quiet and the added extras of shoulder massage and hand massage/​treatment was awesome! I will definitely revisit this salon on a regular basis. This is a hidden gem in the Heritage Mall plaza. The reviews here were very helpful!

This place is GREAT! I got a hot stone pedicure by Christine. The service is awesome, everyone is so nice and friendly. It’s super clean, they use new pedi tools for each customer, and a new liner in the foot tub. The massage chairs look brand new and feel so good. They even have free wifi! You also get a coupon card and after 10 services you get one FREE! And as a bonus you get a massage! They offer waxing, manicures, and pedicures. I made an appointment for another pedi in 2 weeks… I highly recommend J&J’s!

Just found this spot through Unilocal as I was passing through the city of Auburn. It’s in the middle of the Heritage Mall Plaza. They’ve been here for about 11 months. It’s very clean in here and quiet. I came in for a pedicure. My nail tech, Cindy, was pretty thorough and took direction well. The foot massage was bomb! I’d recommend Maria, the lady next to me had her and she was very vocal in her service and made sure the client enjoyed the service every step of the way. Their OPI select is great too. Oh, and the owner just threw in a much needed massage for the free– you know I had to come back and update this review lol.
I’d recommend coming here.

Five stars for:
The service: this is a full service nail salon that DOES NOT skimp on the massage or the products used! Each service comes with a shoulder massage (a good one)
The cleanliness: the salon is SPOTLESS! There is absolutely no nail dust (gross)! They actually use their equipment sanitizer! Each pedi rub has its own 1 time use cover!
The value: I got a pedicure and gel manicure for $ 60 which included the paraffin wax dip for both! And again did I mention the massage!!!
The employees: Very kind and not trying to up sell you to the next thing — thank you!

Clean, quiet, higher price but worth it for the massages alone!!! Shoulder/​neck massage with every manicure!
My polish lasted and I was very happy I tried this place.

This was the best nail salon I’ve been to. They were very accommodating to me and my two friends who walked in without an appointment for pedicures and manicures. They took their time and made us feel very welcomed. The massages and warm wax felt amazing and our nails looked awesome in the end of the whole experience. Oh yeah, it’s was extremely clean! It’s for sure a hidden jewel in a little plaza and I’ll be sure to go again! I would recommend making appointments because they were busy and some guests who walked in chose to come back at other times.

Amazing. If I lived here this would be my go to place! Very, very clean. Wonderful pedicure. They had great massage chairs, but at the end they gave you a back massage! A+

Excellent! I found this place here on Unilocal,saw the great reviews and thought I’d try it. glad I did! It’s new, open for less than a year. This salon is very clean, and a fresh pack of sanitized manicure tools is used every time. Staff was friendly. Prices are great: for $ 20 I had my old gel polish removed ($ 5) then had a regular manicure with regular polish done ($ 15). And the regular manicure included an exfoliating hand scrub, paraffin wax, and a shoulder and arm massage. I will absolutely be back again!

Best pedicure I have EVER received in my life. Immaculately clean facility, very friendly staff and a lot of extras I have never received at other nail places. They use a tub liner in all the pedicures for sanitary reasons. A 6 minute timed leg massage and a very effective oil on the heals of your feet. Last but certainly not least while your nails dry they massage your shoulders!!! Phenomenal, I will 100% be going back and telling everyone I know :)

Great nail salon! For $ 58.00 including the tip we got a wonderful manicure and pedicure with a 6 minute foot massage, heal wax, exfoliant, lotion, and pretty painted toenails with a design on the big toe. For the fingernails we got lotion, paraffin hand wrap, a neck and back massage, hand massage, and a full set of painted nails. The salon was very clean, didn’t smell like chemicals, folks were very nice, and I didn’t feel rushed at all! Very relaxing and enjoyable experience and very reasonably priced for what you get I think. Make an appointment though, as they tend to stay busy, and only have about 3 nail techs working at one time.

Well I found my place! It’s clean, and they give you paraffin and a shoulder massage with the basic pedi.

I ended up staying the weekend for a business trip. Found this little gem in the «shopping mall». Very busy but got me right in with no appointment.

Nails are pretty and feet feel fabulous! I love that they do the parafin wax! The hot rock massage is worth the extra few bucks. That lady can massage my tired dogs all day!

This is a great place for several reasons:
1. The staff is friendly
2. The place is spotless and so is the equipment
3. Free services… for example I went in for a gel manicure and got a warm wrap on my shoulders, a back massage and a paraffin wax treatment for my hands.
4. loyalty rewards. After 10 manicures, I get one free.
5. Walk-​ins are welcome. They try to accommodate them even on busy weekends.
This is my new favorite place!
