Food was bland. Chips tasted like they were cooked in old grease… if you are old and have no taste buds this is the place for you.

Happened upon this restaurant on the west side of the Auburn square. Lunch menu reflected a wide variety of Mexican dishes. All were reasonably priced. The décor was bright and clean. The service was friendly and fast. The food was good. Spices were minimum but the tamale was flavorful. Try it.

Three stars is meant to signify«typical Mexican restaurant with nothing out of the ordinary.» Service is quick and friendly. Free chips and salsa! I like it because it’s in Auburn which means I don’t drive far for run-of-the-mill Mexican food. Don’t expect to be wowed, but if you have an appetite for cheap burritos give it a try.

Food OK. Nothing exceptional. Typical same Mexican restaurant. 2 stars is a generous overall rating. If it weren’t for the friendliness they would get a 1 star. I hate to downgrade a small business in small towns as business can be difficult to keep going. If the margaritas had any tequila it wasn’t much. Wife & I each had jumbo strawberry margaritas. 20 oz. She’s a lightweight drinker. Usually a 12 oz Rita will give her enough buzz. Neither of us could taste any tequila or feel anything after a 20 oz and we came on empty stomachs. If you’re after run of the mill Mexican food then LaLoma will meet your expectations. Nothing at all wrong with the food. If you want a decent margarita then go elsewhere. Sorry but we won’t be back. There are a lot better restaurants and we won’t feel cheated by the bartender.
