Congratulations Laredo, you have successfully butchered my beloved Mexican food. Is that processed American cheese I tasted in your quesadillas and enchiladas? And ground beef in your pre-made hard taco shells? I could’ve gone to Taco Bell for that. Shredded beef please, in a freshly fried taco shell. Your chips and salsa and beans and rice are decent. Service is quick and servers are friendly — of course we speak to them in Spanish. Nice atmosphere, hence the two stars. So disappointing. Please, for the love of all that’s good, use real cheese — Monterey Jack, cotija, queso fresco. Please. Pretty please.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Service was awful, food was even worse. Both of our orders were wrong and ended up costing me more than it should have. If you eat here, prepare to be disappointed.

Service was terrible. From the time I ordered my alcohol drink they had their whole staff looking me dead on my eyes ffromthe time I finished and left. Very rude and food was okay, not a place I would EVER do an event at or host a birthday celebration.

Service was horrible. Got spoiled tasting food and only took one bite and i asked to have it taken off my tab. They said no because I ordered it. Is it so wrong i do not want to pay for my food that tastes spoiled? Worst customer service ever! They even said i will call police if i do not pay my tab. So i told them go ahead cause i refuse to pay for spoiled food. In the end they finally took it off my tab. Never coming back

This place cracks me up. I ordered takeout for two(6TACOS) when i got home we took a few bites from the tacos and noticed the tacos were stale. I was very displeased but i still had the soft tacos and i guess my expectations were too high. The tacos did not come on corn tortilla, cilantro and lime on the side(should of ask). Took a few bites and werent feeling them. So i called them back to ask for a refund bc i was unhappy. They replied no problem we will give your money back. So when i went back, the hostess got the manager and she apologizes and will ensure my refund. So i paid with a card and expecting to get money back on my card, she opens the box and only credits me for the unbitten tacos. Lmao this place is a joke. I just shook my head and took the money bc apparently they needed it more. Moral of the story, dont taste food and expect to get fully compensated back

This is the best Mexican food place in the Auburn/Opelika area. The food is good, the service is top notch and the prices are very reasonable. This place is also Great for kids but has enough noise that you won’t hear them if that kind of thing bothers you. On a side note, I love that the owner is almost always there greeting everyone! Super nice guy!

Having tried 3 Mexican restaurants in town, I find this one the best by far. Great margaritas, great customer service and yummy food.

Not a fan. This is some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. My husband likes it(as do plenty of other reviewers) so… to each their own!

I’m sure there is better Mexican food, just not in Auburn. This place is reasonably fast, affordable, and good. I’ve been going here since they first opened. More that 20 years if I guessed.

This place is always busy and they seem to get you seated fairly quick. This is probably the most popular Mexican restaurant in the area of for no other reason it’s location. They seem to move people in and out fairly quickly, but with that being said sometimes my food has been a bit cool. I have eaten here several times and more times than not the food is enjoyable. Really packed around lunch on Sundays.

Service can be a little slow because they are usually packed, so don’t go if you’re in a hurry. I think it is worth the wait, though. The fajita steak and chicken are quality meats. They are never fatty or chewy. Their cheese dip is probably my favorite of all of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The chips are always served hot, and the salsa is just right on the spicy scale. Would recommend for a group, especially if you are celebrating a birthday!

We’ve been to Laredo several times, and, while it’s not my favorite Mexican restaurant, it was fairly good… until tonight. We ordered Texas fajitas for two, and it was awful. The steak was tough, chicken wasn’t any more tender, and the whole dish had a weird burnt plastic odor. The pan it was on looked«rusty», and the rice was dried out. Definitely did not enjoy, and will think hard before going back.

Best mexi I used to go here all the time. My favorite meal is the steak quesadilla. Last time I went here, we waited almost 10 minutes for our server to bring us chips and even then it was not our server who brought them, but someone we called out to. I don’t really care that much about the chip, but that is standard for Mexican restaurants to bring out first. Had only 2 sets of silverware for a 4 person table… again had to ask someone other than our server. Food came out quickly, but the one thing I asked to remove they left on… onions. I asked for lite bell peppers and there was maybe 3 out of the whole quesadilla. HOTPLATE!!! That’s an understatement. My wife could not move the plate at all without burning her hand. She asked me a question, «why did you want to come here». My answer was that they are the only ones who makes quesadillas the way I like it. Her comment, «I guess they messed that up too». Worst experience ever. I think they are getting worse and worse every time we come here.

Terrible service for most part. Food is typically alright. I once had a waiter get upset when we took more than 2 seconds to speak our order. Then another time a waiter ran after us into the parking lot and yelled at us that we were stealing because even though he didn’t ask us how to do the checks, he gave my girlfriend and I separate checks. When I paid for them up front he didn’t realize the bill was combined.

I drove past this restaurant several times during my stay here and the parking lot was always packed… That was my sign to stop in for a meal, especially since I love Mexican food… I didn’t know that when my brother in law wanted us to take our families here. The meals here were awesome… Especially the fajitas. Extremely tender steak served with chicken. The margaritas were another winner here. 16oz, 24oz, and 32oz margaritas served here… Being a responsible drinker, I ordered a 24oz lime margarita on the rocks… Then ordered another… lol. Strong, but good… Everyone enjoyed this fun spot. How did my wife and I plan to top this night out with the family? Well, we snuck out to have more margaritas the next night.lol. This will be on our list of restaurants to visit on our next trip to Auburn…

Excellent margaritas but really awful cheese enchiladas. Their specials are offered from Tuesday through Thursday but that didn’t stop us from ordering margaritas. The environment is really pleasant on the inside and the employees there don’t speak English very well. Unless you’re here for their specials, the prices aren’t as competitive as their neighboring Mexican restaurants.

Blah and yuck… two words that describe the food here. I ordered what they call a «chalupa» which in reality is a tostada and it was soggy, the beans had no flavor besides lard, and there was just a tiny sprinkling of iceberg lettuce. The burrito was so boring and flavorless. The guacamole barely resembled avocados and was oily… not something I have ever seen before. Very gross. Something was just off about it all, I could barely stomach any of it. I’m used to AUTHENTIC Mexican food, meaning, the kind you would eat in MEXICO. It is possible to find good authentic Mexican food, maybe just not in Auburn. The fact that so many people like this place and say it’s the best really scares me and makes me not want to ever try the other Mexican restaurants in the area.
