One of the better tasting experiences my wife and I have had. Plenty of sweet wines which is what we like. Nice descriptions and no cost to taste. The woman behind the counter that helped us was friendly and talkative. The décor is definitely unique but it gives a good vibe. I’m looking forward to going in the warmer weather so we can sit outside, play disc golf and relax. Needless to say we left with 8 bottles.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff(run by a husband and wife). Some of the wines are a little crazy(hot pepper/garlic wine), but overall, a nice experience in the Skook.

Fun, groovy, fabulous digs from the minute you trot down the un-uniform stairway and through the peace sign doorway. Colorful pop culture décor with vibes from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Ladies behind the bar were cheerful and having a good time. They could have used a third person with the crowd that quickly filled the tasting bar. Amazing the detail, time and attention put into the ambiance but unfortunately we were not impressed with the wines. So many to choose and taste yet none seemed perfected. Just not our type of wines. Very affordable. Tasting included if wine is purchased.

I gave this place 3 chances and it let me down every single time. The older woman who works there couldn’t have been more miserable and rude each time I’ve gone, no where close to the kind hippie attitude you’d expect. This place is fun to look at but the staff that I’ve seen is crabby, rude and has no desire at all to take care of their customers. The wine is good, if you’re lucky enough to get someone behind the bar to pay attention and serve you, but it’s not good enough to make the hostile employees tolerable, or being completely ignored ok. There are plenty of other wineries in this area in PA with amazing customer service, I suggest going to them. I definitely will never suggest this one to anyone, they don’t care at all about their customers or their customers happiness

After much hype we have heard I was left disappointed. There may have been a band, in the tasting room but it was to loud to understand the staff. The wines lacked a certain refinement and needs work. If your looking for stop to fill a 70’s void in your travels, you’ve found it. Makes a great stop to spend a few hours but not impressed with wine tasting or their wines.

What a fun place! :D while the wines are rather good the atmosphere is stupendous! Very hippie in appearance, reminded me of hanging out with friends in someone’s finished basement,(in a non creepy or musty way). Such a comfortable spot, I do not know if any other business has ever made me feel so welcome. Some great cooking wines with hysterical names. Make it a point to visit!

Extremely poor service at the tasting bar, sediment in many of the pours, descriptions only sometimes list the kind of wine or taste(dry, sweet, etc.), live music was too loud for such a tiny place, few(written on, dripped on, crinkled) wine lists available, server was ignoring most of the patrons.

While I wasn’t overly impressed with the flavor of the wines(mostly because I prefer dry and many of them are sweeter), the venue was awesome. The décor is nothing like you’ve ever seen with very much a hippie vibe! Definitely made for those who don’t want the«traditional» winery experience. The descriptions of the wines on the wine list and names of the wines were entertaining to say the least… Morning Wood, Sensual Innuendo, The Girls, The Bra Burning, Dirty Deeds, and on! Although that was also frustrating as the descriptions of the wines didn’t give you any indication of what the wine was like. It was really hard to figure out what to try and what’s what. But you can taste as many as you want so I guess that helps. They have Disc Golf on the property as well as plenty of picnic areas, indoors and out. The property is stunning and secluded nestled into the woods, full of flowers, trees, and wildlife.

Unlike any winery I’ve ever been to. Cool hippy vibe with Beatles, GD, and zeppelin memorabilia all over the walls. Big selection of wine, both sweet and dry. Lots of free samples! Went in the winter, so didn’t get to experience disc golf, but I’d like to!

i was there june 28 and it is a great place, so unique. i set up to sell my silverware jewelry and they could not have been nicer. the winery is so different with the pictures of the stars from another era. the wine is excellant. you must come and see this winery you will not be disappointed. the owner and his family are so friendly and the history makes a great story of how it started. the band they had was so good it made you feel like dancing the whole time i was there. well come and visit there winery.

We loved the place when we visited! beautiful setting, disc golf, free samples, cool atmosphere, we even sat outside and had wine and food that we brought in! After about an hour of sitting there, me and my boyfriend both felt kind of sick and thought it was the water that we drank from being at Hershey all wknd in a motel. We were very ill the rest of the day. We had enjoyed our stay and thought nothing of it until tonight. We popped open the same type of wine that we bought at the place(old man elderberry). That’s the same wine we had at the place that we thought was so good. It is delicious, but we are both very sick again from one glass each of this bottle. We just looked into it and apparently if they didn’t boil the berries enough, they release a cyanide like toxicity that causes the digestive tract to go haywire. That or they added the stems and leaves. Either way, we held our glasses up to the light and there was a lot of sediment. We both are sick so it was the Old Man Elderberry wine then and not the Hershey water that we had drank. I don’t know if any other wine there causes the same problem, but stay AWAY from OLDMANELDERBERRY wine. You will be feeling very nauseous after having drank it. Be sure to have yogurt with active cultures in your house. «There are several species of elder, but Sambucus nigra, or European elder(also called black elder), is the one used most often for medicinal purposes. Avoid dwarf elder(Sambucus ebulus), which can be toxic. Use a trusted preparation of elder because raw or unripe fruit — as well as the leaves, seeds, and bark — contain a chemical related to cyanide, which is poisonous.» Source: Elderberry | University of Maryland Medical Center

Nice place to visit, beautiful building, limited parking, but wine, I think not. This is not wine I would serve, or drink. It seems to be a blend of whatever they have in the kitchen and give it a catchy name.

An «interesting» winery is the only way I can explain Long Trout. An older hyppie couple operates the winery by themselves without any employees. The wines left something to be desired. They have a great range of reds and whites, sweet and dry, fruit, chocolate, pumpkin and hot pepper. They make their wines to their tastes. This was apparent when the wife couldn’t tell me the ammount of residual sugar in the semi sweets. I’m a dry red fan. The people from other parties appeared to be sweet fans and it seemed as if they enjoyed what they tasted. I feel that if they tried to narrow their focus, it could be a good winery.

Yum!!! I think the owners just like to drink a lot of good wine and throw parties, and this business is their investment in that lifestyle, ya know, cuz it gets expensive. They are all super friendly and hospitable. Delicious fruit wines. We recommend Oompa Loompa. Also, Berried in Chocolate. Read the menu, sample as many as you’d like, and you’re sure to go home with at least one bottle, if not a case :) We usually have a bottle before we leave. The space where the wine bar is located is decorated with lots of old hippie stuff from the past. It’s very amusing to tour and look at all of the things. There are lots of events in the summer(sorry, starting to get lazy). There’s also a frisbee golf course.

It’s a beautiful building overlooking a cute little lake with plenty of room for wandering outside and chatting with your pals. The hippie theme was amusing even though it’s not my style; there are a lot of neato 60s/70s collectibles and paraphernalia scattered around, from Beatles clay sculptures to Star Trek action figures. I was honestly not impressed with the wine, though I like my wine very sweet and packed with flavor; the ones I sampled lacked any real flavor in my opinion and were very«alcoholy», but please don’t let that keep you from visiting this fun little place if you’re in the area. :)

What’s great about this place is that the tastings of the wine are free and they are all really unique tasting. The location is beautiful and then have a beautiful lake(that we didn’t get a chance to explore) and disc golf, which we didn’t get a change to play(yet). After a few samples we walked out with 3 bottles, 2 for ourselves and one as a gift.
