My girlfriends and I gave this place a try last night after hearing good things about the lunch menu. I called ahead to see if they’d allow me to order a Vegetarian item from their lunch menu since dinner menu options for vegetarians were limited to the standard salmon or salad. They were happy to do so. Since not many people know about the place, there was no one else there yet at 5:00. We had a reservation and were greeted and sat right away. Though they did not have any«Happy Hour Specials», the wine and beer list had a nice variety/selection. The place is clean and well decorated. It looked as though we could have sat outside if we wanted too, a limited luxury here in town. I look forward to that next time! For dinner I ordered the Farmers Veggie, I expected a sandwich and instead got a wrap, I don’t even know exactly what was in it, as it wasn’t what I ordered, but it was tasty and since they were nice enough to give me the option, I opted not to make an issue out of it. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly to accompany it. My friends got the Pesto Chicken and the Teriyaki Chicken dishes. The chicken in the Teriyaki one was a touch overcooked and dry but the Pesto one with garlic mashed were delicious! We shared a bottle of wine and had two extra drinks for a total of less then $ 85. The service was fantastic and as the evening progressed more people were filtering in giving it more of a «vibe». I’d love to see them offer some happy hour deals but the prices are reasonable, portions are also very generous. The salad’s were a real treat too — very fresh! I suspect they’ll add more Vegetarian options for dinner as it’s becoming much more common request. I really, really hope you’ll support this local gem — I think they are a great addition to the neighborhood and you will have a great dining experience!

Stopped for dinner on weds night and it was a great experience. Sat on the cool, relaxing patio and enjoyed a sierra nevada summerfest and glass of champagne. I had the special ribeye with a champagne mushroom and shallot cream sauce which was incredible. Wife had the pesto chicken and she loved it. The mashed potatoes and vegetable sides were excellent. The side salad was made with care and had the right balance of flavors. It was obvious the guys in the kitchen had pride in what left the kitchen. Definitely be back soon to try other items and hope this place makes it. Its a tough location, yet only about a mile from old town. Try it

I went in on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the modern décor and open floor plan. Friendly staff and good food makes this place worth checking out. They have a reasonable draft selection and 2LCD TVs at the bar. Sit inside or outside if you choose too. I recommend checking this place out!

Best pills cheese steak sandwich around. Got it fully loaded and it was yummy! The fries are the best as well!

Finally tried this place for dinner(we have had breakfast there before) and was so glad we did. I had the pan fried red snapper with a lemon, garlic and white wine sauce, which was one of their specials. It came with a side salad, garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. From start to finish it was delicious. The salad was fresh and full of vegetables, not just lettuce, the salmon was well-cooked, flakey and very moist. The sauce was delicious, not at all over-powering and the potatoes were excellent. My husband had the brisket with BBQ sauce, it was melt-in-your mouth tender with an excellent BBQ sauce. He also had a side salad, garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegies. There was plenty of food and the cost was so reasonable. We had the two meals, a couple of glasses of wine and a beer and our total was under $ 60. We ate on the patio since the weather was so nice, which was a huge plus. The place was busy enough but not crowded and our service was very good. We will definitely eat here again, especially since it is so close to our house.

I brought some friends from out of town here last weekend there were only two waitresses and the place was packed it took over 25 minutes for us to just get drinks after I’d been in twice and asked if I could do it myself. Then an hour later when our food finally came nothing was like it was the last time they must have changed the cooks. biscuits and gravy were greasy eggs are not fully cooked the whole thing was a greasy mess. I asked to speak to the owner so I went inside and listened and watched as the waitress told him someone else was complaining about the gravy he then put his bare finger the tub of gravy pulled it out licked it said it seems fine to me and placed bacon on another customer’s plate with the same hand. I confronted him and said that was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen he told me that he could do that because his hands were clean. I will never go back I received the worst service I am totally disappointed in this place I was hoping for a new Sunday breakfast spot not now.

Love, love, love this place. I’m praying that they do well and prosper at this location. Seems to be somewhat of a tough spot for a couple of previous restaurants. I went here for the first time last night and am so glad I did. I had a ribeye special and I’m still thinking about that meal this morning. The steak was beautifully seasoned and what I thought was unique is they send it out with some garlic butter on top. I think the chef/cook at this place actually loves his job and it shows in the food. The thing I appreciate the very most is that this place gives you more than enough food for the price. I’m a big dude and a contractor, so I get hungry as hell and found the amount was perfect. I would rather pay a little more for more food that tastes better than the typical trend nowadays where they are cutting portion size. There’s a nice patio outside and it’s just a really chill place to get good food. I hope they expand their menu. It’s a little limited at the moment but I’m sure it will expand as they get going. Good place with great food

Super yummy! I’ve gone there many times and every time I was beyond happy with meal! I noticed people saying there’s not a many vegetarian options, but the farmers veggie sandwich was amazing along with the Asian salad. And for non vegetarians the meats are delicious and tender

We dropped in late on a Friday afternoon. We were greeted promptly and seated. There is plenty of seating. I like the intimate atmosphere, the wood seating, and bayou style décor. Feels like you’re waiting in someone’s kitchen. The chicken pesto was full of greens, delicious, and fresh. Others had the American River burger, which is probably the best high-end burger in the area(non-fast food). The Teriyaki Chicken bowl and the Fish and Chips. We weren’t expecting such large portions, but it is worth it. I can’t wait to try their clam chowder and po’ boy sandwich. We’ve been waiting a long time for good cajun style food. Maybe they’ll offer crawdaddies in the summer? Free yourselves of the restaurants in Roseville and try out this place in Auburn!

Nice little local place, we enjoy eating here often for what ever meal you need breakfast lunch or dinner. Wish they would expand their dinner menu, add there lunch stuff to it or something. They also need to increase there vegetarian options they are severely lacking in that department. It’s nice to have somewhere close that has good food. Try them out and help keep this local place open.

Yum, check out this local gem! Don’t miss the side salad with whatever you order, it is always wonderful with fresh bacon and tomatoes, cucumbers and more. Had the fish and chips with prawns and it was delish. Hubby had Tahoe ribeye with blue cheese butter,(no extra charge) was great.

Trying out the new digs, and enjoying it! We had the brisket with bbq, and the meatloaf. Both were tender, flavorful. Sometimes the simple things are hardest to do well. These were great! Dinner was accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes, great texture, and delicate garlic, enough to be great flavor without overpowering the other flavors on the plate. Salads were crisp and fresh, croutons were light and crunchy, melt in your mouth. Some day I hope to perfect steamed vegetables. These can make or break a plating. The veg were wonderful, not too soft, not too crisp, with a fantastic flavor. Hope to be back to sample brunch!

Wish I had better things to say about this place. We went on a quiet evening and it was less than ¼ full. Our server(wish I caught his name) was unfriendly and neglected refills. The fish and chips weren’t served piping hot and coating on fish was soggy. Cole slaw was bitter. The whole place had a tense, depressed feel about it although it was clean. I won’t go back because there are too many excellent alternatives for price range and type of food in Auburn. I regret this experience because I like supporting local businesses and was looking forward to using this restaurant based on its Auburn Journal story.

New place in town decided to give it a try. Dinner with dad and it was close by. Good food, nice ambience and decent service. Unique bar with 2 tvs, about 8 craft beers on tap and a few domestics by the bottle. No liquor, just wine and beer. Foodwise we both had a house salad and prime rib with mashed potatoes and a couple of beers. Beer was cold, salads were chilled and fresh and the prime rib was excellent. Portions were good size and we both left very full. House music seemed to be local radio, I could’ve done with out Van Halen, but no biggie… whether you live local or down the hill, it’s def worth a visit !

Our friends wanted to try this place because they had heard good things, plus they had 5 stars, but it was far from great! Half of our orders were wrong, but to no fault of the waitress, it was obvious she took good notes. My husband ordered a medium well prime rib with rice pilaf, but it came out rare, plus the rice was under cooked. I ordered the Seared Salmon without the Citrus Glaze and asked that the it be cooked all the way through. When my order came it had the glaze, so had to send it back and when they brought it out, it was obvious that all they did was wipe off the glaze, plus it was super dry. I love salmon, but I could barely eat this one. My friend ordered a childs cheeseburger for her son, simple enough, but all he got was a bun and patty, no cheese or tomato. On top of that, my friend had to wait for her food for at least 10 minutes after everyone else’s came and all she ordered was a chicken pesto. Oh and they didn’t even offer to comp at least a dessert for all the mess ups. I gave them two stars because the waitress was good and our friends Jambalaya was tasty, plus the kids did enjoy the chicken fingers too. Guess they were having a bad night, but won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Excellent food and friendly service. I have had the Auburn Folsom Road hamburger twice now. Probably one of the best burgers(and fries!) and I have ever had. I met the owner(Richard) today as I was waiting for my take-out order. Very nice guy. I strongly recommend this new restaurant.

I got lunch to go, and it was amazing! First off the person who took my order, Jack, was very friendly and welcomed me the moment I walked in. Little long to get the food, but well worth the wait. The sandwich was amazing. The fries were crisp and seasoned perfectly. Great meal and I cannot wait to come back! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great lunch at a reasonable price with a great atmosphere.
