Really good coffee. Its a little crowded, which made it hard to move around the shop effectively. I’ll be back for the coffee, but I’ll probably take it on the go.

This is what coffee excellence looks like. Do not pass go, do not collect $ 200, without trying their Alabama Stringer.

I was skeptical at first when ordering but these people really know their coffee! Good price and probably one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had. Fresh brewed and wide variety, reminded me of Seattle but better.

For Auburn to be the size that it is, the coffee community is booming. Each shop has something unique to offer the consumer; each unlike the other. Prevail Union — formerly known as Wake Up Coffee Company — is an independent coffee shop that focuses on educating its audience on the art of coffee, as well as what their dollar is going towards(which, in this case, is empowering less fortunate groups of people and promoting sustainability). They roast their coffee locally and take pride in every hand-brewed cup. Their sauces, syrups and pastries are made in-house, with only organic sugars and ingredients(so you don’t have to worry about scary additives like high-fructose corn syrup). They also offer great, non-dairy alternatives like soy and almond milk. And, just as they believe in educating the consumer, they also believe in educating their baristas; requiring them to go through a certification process which ensures their knowledgeability regarding palate, precision and product.(Parking in Auburn is almost always a challenge, especially depending on the time of year. Keep in mind you have found yourself in the midst of a college town, so inevitably there are meters to be fed and spaces to be fought for. Same goes for café seating. That responsibility doesn’t fall on the local coffee shops. I suggest that other Unilocalers give more grace in that area.) Prevail Union also believes in supporting local businesses, artists and farmers; offering handmade leather goods and milk fresh from the Dothan, AL dairy(organic and non-homogenized; you can also purchase it by the gallon, if you like). I highly encourage you to try their Honey Vanilla Raspberry latte, Turtle Mocha or Bali pour over. Prevail Union undeniably deserves five stars; not only for the quality of their coffee and service, but also for what their are doing for the coffee community as a whole.

Good spot. The girl at the counter is super sweet, the coffee is delic and the atmosphere is perfect. This morning was slow so I have the whole space to myself to enjoy and it’s perfect. The seating is nice and thre playlist is great. They have almond milk also so I got a café au lait and it was amazing.

I have really tried to like Wake Up, but it is my least favorite local coffee shop. The crowded feel is a bit jarring and makes it difficult to focus when trying to work. The employees that I have interacted with have been nice on the whole, but the management has come across as a bit rude. I think they could work on improving their customer service. I had a poor experience when someone unscrewed the cap of the half and half container and not knowing this, I attempted to use it. The big plastic lid fell into my pour over and when I notified the baristas, they shrugged and took it from me when I suggested they might want to clean it off. It would have been nice if they had apologized or offered to remake my drink, as I had done nothing wrong. I ended up not even drinking my coffee, because I didn’t want to drink all of the germs from the hands that had been on the half and half lid! I came back after that experience, but frankly, I’ve been underwhelmed. The coffee that I have tried(pour over and cold brew) has been more acidic and just not as good as I had hoped. I hope Wake Up can get some of these issues sorted out, because I would love to be able to support another local coffee shop.

My favorite coffee shop without a doubt. The owners are stellar people. All of the drinks are spot on. I’m a coffee snob and this place delivers each and every time. I’ve probably spent several hundreds of dollars here over the course of a year, ha. You should visit it.

Auburn is lucky enough to have a few great coffee shops, but Wake-Up consistently has great coffee, talented baristas, and wonderful customer service. I recommend it to everyone that comes to town and is looking for high quality coffee.

Wakeup is my favorite coffee shop in the Auburn/Opelika area! The shop is always so clean and orderly. They don’t overwhelm the guests with cramped seating or loud music. The menu is a great variety of brews, espresso, chai, tea, etc. Additionally they have goodies like granola bars, fruit, oatmeal, and baked goods. I would suggest a raseberry vanilla latte, turtle mocha, or the Brazil brew. If you’re not into highly caffeinated beverages the chai latte is great or the Orange blossom tea is awesome! I go to WakeUp at least twice a week and they’ve never failed to make an awesome drink or provide me with awesome service.

The best service, atmosphere and beverages in town. Other local shops in Auburn try to be «cool» to the point of being rude, but Wake Up compares to some of the best local coffee shops around the country.

So this place seems like it was inspired by the fantastic Blue Bottle coffee shops of San Francisco… they do incredible pour over style coffee, so it’s a bit of a wait, but supremely worth it. While you wait the staff will be sure to entertain you– girls Meredith & Sarah are hilarious and sweet as can be. Meredith absolutely cracked me up the whole time, I stayed an extra 30 mins just enjoying the conversation. Zach’s got great suggestions if you’re not sure what to go with, their selection is phenomenal. My favorite place in Auburn!

Great coffee, atmosphere, service, and location. The space is large enough to accommodate individuals and groups and is comfortably furnished with both small and large wood tables and unique wall art. The menu includes traditional coffee house fare as well as interesting flavored items including a turtle mocha and a honey raspberry vanilla latte. I had a Valentine’s special called the«malentine,» made with chocolate, cinnamon, and chili powder, which was super tasty and unique. Would love to go back and try their other offerings!

This is a great coffeeshop right in the heart of Auburn University. Perfect for University students in need of a place to catch up with a friend or study — or both. My order: traditional machiato. Made nice and strong, just as a machiato should be. My friends order(of which I simply had to try): honey and raspberry blended tea and turtle mocha blended latte. The blended drinks are absolutely delicious. Like many other coffeeshops, they also sell some merchandise. Unlike other coffeeshops, they range far beyond simply local organic packaged coffee or mugs. They eco-friendly cards, necklaces, and so forth. Really worth checking out if you’re in support of local shoppes and wanna get some shopping done while enjoying a sip of some caffeine. My biggest gripe with this place is the limited amount of seating. While it adds to cozy atmosphere(which, it is quite modern and quite cozy) it is problematic when you aren’t a University student and drive some time in anticipation of getting some work done only to be unable to find a spot in which to do it. Otherwise, a very fine establishment with really great employees and a great cause.

Excellent place to pick up a great cup of coffee when you are in Auburn. It is the kind of place you would expect in a college town. Lots of charm and low key ambiance. The location is great: right across the street from Samford Hall. The coffee is individually poured and excellent.

This place is great, simply put. From their Hario coffee, to simple espresso that has this amazing twang to it, dirty chai latte — everything is great. Love it. Only if I could afford it everyday with my grad student stipend.

Admittedly, I don’t drink caffeine but Wake Up Auburn had great options for those who are not so coffee-inclined. I had a delicious hot chocolate, and the atmosphere can’t be beat! Be sure to check out the baked goods, handmade every day.

I love this place! The ambiance is lovely, the coffee is amazing! They are eco-friendly, socially conscience, and really nice! All this would be a moot point if the product wasn’t worth buying. Luckily this is not an issue! The coffee is carefully crafted by hand and tastes amazing! I am addicted(happily) to the honey vanilla raspberry latte — hot or iced. In addition, there are fabulous gift items that support very worthy causes available for purchase. I hope that this place will be around for a long time!

Quaint little college coffee shop, but oh my goodness, I just ordered the most delicious cup of caramel latte goodness I’ve ever had in my entire life!!! Hand brewed. Takes a bit to get your drink order, but it’s not Starbucks folks — it’s so much better!!! Every possible seat was occupied, but there’s overflow seating upstairs — enjoy!
