I have to say, Mindy is one of the sweetest people I have spoken to. She’ll even get your 12^th dog all ready for Seahawks! Now if she could just get my cat to go with it…

This place is the best! They do the best nail trims on my big dog and full grooming on my smaller dog. Highly recommend!

First time taking my Dog there today, Omg, they did an amazing job grooming him! I was so impressed, I made his next appointment before I left! My Bailey was so at ease and was so happy when we picked him up, he did not act as if he did from other places I had taken him. Mindi, the owner is also such a nice lady! I have finally… found a great place to take my baby for grooming! But, beware, it took me two weeks to get in! Plan ahead, you will not be disappointed!

I have been taking my Bailey to Valerie and Mindy since she was about 2 years old. She turned 15 yesterday. The first groomer I took Bailey to (cuz it was very close to home) used a dull razor on Bailey’s tummy and she bit the woman. She called me at work, upset, telling me I had to come get my dog. When I got there, my girl was just left to run loose in the salon. I was told I could bring her again, but when I saw Bailey’s tummy, there was no way. One of my co-​workers used Pup n Suds and really liked them, so I called. I was upfront and told Val that Bailey had bit her first groomer; she told me it wasn’t a problem, she’d been bit before, it was a hazard of tbe job. I did, however, talk to my vet about the situation and we put Bailey on a mild dose of valium, just to help her relax (that first groomer left a huge imprint on her memory), only to be used prior to grooming. We used the valium, full strength, for about a year then cut it back to ½, then to ¼ then to none at all. Her first visit without, Mindy put a big note on our receipt that said, «Was a VERY good girl!!» Took about 2 years for her to realize Val and Mindy weren’t going to hurt her.
There was one time Bailey had an appt. but Pup n Suds’ power was out when I got there. Mindy trimmed Bailey’s nails, at no charge, till I could bring her back for a reappointment.
I take a toy with us, plus a baggie with a bit of food. Tbey’ve always made sure to give her the food and some water (because I ask, all you need to do is ask) and as she has gotten older, they also be sure to take her potty (I also make sure she goes in the area provided before we go in). Because she is old, mostly blind and deaf, and only has 3 legs (she has little strength left in her one back leg), Mindy does her first so she doesn’t have to spend hours there, which I greatly appreciate.
Valerie retired at the end of 2013; Mindy is the new owner now. My girl is winding down, coming to the end of her days. Her appt. next week will probably be her last as she has a very difficult time walking. I have appreciated all the love and care Bailey has received from Valerie and Mindy these past 13 years.
I highly recommend Pup n Suds and owner Mindy.

Friendly staff, great haircuts, my Schnauzer loves them.
A little tough to get an appointment, so you have to call in several days in advance. But Valerie (the owner) is friendly and will take good care of your animal.
Screw Petsmart and Petco, support locally-​owned businesses. Plus the pricing here is about the same as any big box pet grooming shop.

After one of my dogs got literally thrown into a cage because he pooped (he was there for over 7 hours with no bathroom relief and still under a year) plus I was yelled at for not «bath rooming» my dogs-​NEVER again– nor would I ever recommend these people– they do good grooming, but I do not think the owner is a dog lover. She loves her own, as they bark and snip when you walk in-​with free reign (they, of course DO get bathroom relief). I would never recommend this place to anyone unless ALL you care about is how your dog looks! If I could give a 0, I would!!!

My parents have been getting their dogs groomed here for years. After moving back to Auburn, I needed a place to get my dogs groomed and Pup N Suds was the first place I called!
They get pretty busy, but they do a good job of getting your dog beautified by the time they estimate they will be done. The earlier you arrive, the earlier you take take your pooch home. Everyone is friendly, espcially to the dogs!
Our dogs are groomed perfectly every time… I don’t think I’ll take them anywhere else. Well worth the money!

Val does amazing work. This listing is in the wrong category however. There isn’t boarding here. This is simply a dog lovers grooming shop. My Jack Russell’s love coming here. I drop them off and come back amazed at their appearance. Nails, glands, coat — all clean and shiny! This business is like home — picture dropping your dogs off at a friends house. And the services are well below prices I have seen in Seattle. The popcorn (chicken bite) treats here really please my kids. They have them gone before we get home. We will be coming back. I do not like cutting nails and these folks use lots of TLC. I should mention than one of my dogs is blind. They have gone above and beyond to make «Owen» feel special and happy. He doesn’t appear to be traumatized like he has been in the past at other groomers. I live in Belltown so this is worth the trip. I usually hit up the Muckelshoot or the Outlet Mall while they get cleaned up. I say check them out!
