Great ice cream, horrible customer service. My boyfriend and I went the other night and online it says that Ronnie’s doesn’t close until 9:00 pm. We arrived around 9:40 pm and got our ice cream. Another couple came at 9:48 pm and the grumpy older woman told them that they were closed and then slammed the window shut. Regardless, we will find other places to go from now on!

Super cheap ice cream in large portions. Ladies, take my advice and stick with a one scoop. I got the two scoop sundae last weekend and I swear it was 6 scoops of ice cream, about a cup of hot fudge and way too much to eat on my own. I felt like a fatty walking back to the car by myself. I think I finished only half of it unfortunately. The ice cream is clearly Hershey’s brand but that is okay with me. Their whipped cream tastes really good too. I am not sure why/how it’s different from other places.

This is an OK place. My main complaint is they do not have peanut butter sauce. This should be illegal for any ice cream place

When you want craptons of ice cream, don’t want to pay too much, and are ok with sacrificing quality for massive quantity, then go to Ronnie’s. They must have a counting problem akin to that of King Arthur in the Holy Grail — if you get a 3 scoop cup or cone, you will be handed about 5 or six scoops. If you get a hot fudge(or any kind) of sundae, you will be given about five times what it says on the board plus generous toppings. It’s not the best quality ice cream I’ve ever had but then again, it’s hard to make bad ice cream. I’ve not been disappointed upon coming here, but it is one of the only places where sometimes I do not finish my ice cream(sacrilege)!

This place is ridiculous. The prices and portions can not be beat. For less than $ 4 you can get an insane portion of ice cream. My girlfriend wanted 2 scoops($ 3.50) and her dish had no less than 5 scoops in it. I had a large soft serve(only because they don’t do medium) and mine was like the Empire State Building of soft serve cones, definitely should have gone with a small. The also have sundaes, blizzards(or whatever they call it), and milkshakes. Service is great and they have plenty of covered and uncovered seating. The only two negatives is they aren’t open all year and they don’t make their own ice cream. The quality is still very good and it’s a great spot to get a cool dessert in the summer.

This is the first season we’ve chosen Ronnie’s for ice cream. I always thought they just did seafood and had no idea there was a separate ice cream joint in the back. The flavor selection is fine(example: they have Frozen Custard but no Grapenuts). The scoops are large and low in price. The staff is always really nice and quick. The ice cream isn’t the best I’ve ever had or anything, but it tastes pretty good. Overall, not bad.

Not that you can tell from the recent weather, but spring is here. That means Ronnie’s is open again. We stopped here last weekend for some Ice Cream. Ir was mid day on Saturday. No real line, plenty of seating. Of course it never fails. I order no sugar ice cream and they offer me a sugar cone. Otherwise, it was it’s usual high quality and plenty of ice cream. My two scoop cone appeared to be more like three scoops. As for the prices, Ice Cream for three cost me about eight bucks. Little Miss B, managed to make friends with another little girl, allowing her mom and I a few minutes of peace while we enjoyed dessert.

Great Roadside ice cream. Tons of flavors — good tasting and no freezer burn. The toppings are good — love the reese cup bits. They offer a kiddie size which I get everytime — enough to satisfy my craving and share w/kids! Friendly teenage workers(they exist in Auburn ;). Smiles and politeness. The parking lot can get hairy when it’s crowded. Also it’s crazy trying to get out into traffic again — make sure you get something good — it might be your last meal ;)

This is an OK place for ice cream. I didn’t find anything here that I couldn’t find at any other ice cream place. The sizes were good for the prices, though. Definitely not worth a speciat trip, but if you’re in the area and crave ice cream, this will do the trick.
