I love this store and won’t shop anywhere else. The service is GREAT and the store is laid out perfectly. The bakery/deli carries delicious cakes, cookies, bread and cold cuts. You can’t go wrong shopping at the store.

I have gone to this store numerous times because of convenience. Compared to other grocery stores around(Raley’s, Safeway, etc.) they are really lacking. There isn’t a huge selection like their competitor Safeway, and it’s outdated. My biggest issue is their bakery. All of the cakes or desserts I have bought are half frozen and have that freezer burnt taste. The people are generally pretty friendly so 2 stars for them

Had to pick up a few things for a party last minute and didn’t want to go to Walmart in rocklin. NOPARKING. GOTTHECARTTHEFUNKYWHEEL(that won’t make right turns), no help when I couldn’t find the item I was looking for… aisle ten is NOTANANSWER, and an eye roll at the checkout. Stood in line while checkers up front talked to each other. Next time I will go to Walmart. It took just as much time. And they have a bigger parking lot. I wonder if they have supermarker impossible???

I am a regular at this grocery store and have been for years, and know a few people there who I regularly go to for assistance. One employee there and I have been friends for years and is one of the nicest people I know. They have pretty good prices, but the butcher shop,(shrink-wrapped), is a pretty pathetic inventory. I have to drive all the way over to Safeway to get my 2 – 3 month supply of meat, pork, chicken and seafood. Save Mart is not even in the game for comparison with Safeway or even comes close to Costco. Their vegetable and fruit section is about a 7 out of a 10, but I must admit that the staff in that area are extremely helpful and take pride in what they do. Now this is where I have an issue. There are(2) particular«Key Carrier» personnel(their name tag says this) and I think I was safe to assume that they were also the face of the grocery store. But if they are representing an ugly, mean and rude grocery store, then they are in the right position. One particular«key carrier», which her name is easy to remember due to the ethnicity of the name given(European), had sort of helped(I use that word loosely) me at the customer service counter and only spoke(5) words to me the whole time and then ignored me to speak to a gentleman behind me who caught her attention with his physique and looks I might say. I tried to catch her attention because what I asked for and what she gave me was completely wrong. Her listening skills were completely disrupted and probably broken at the time. I had to repeat myself kindly and she was a bit put off due to the man hunk behind me she was trying to speak to. My suggestion Save Mart? This female«key carrier» needs to be put in a position to where she does not serve the public and I strongly suggest you put her back in her cage in the stock room where she belongs. I attempted with great difficulty to kill her with extreme kindness to get her attention focused on me «the aptly named committed and ever returning customer». Having people like her will help me decide to go shop back at Safeway, even if it is out of my way. She is not up to Save Marts’ standards. Come on, you can do much better than that. You should be embarrassed and ashamed of who is representing your store.

I’ve tried every major grocery store in Auburn and have to say this is my favorite. Sure, it’s not new, or fancy, but neither am I. The layout is ‘old-school,’ meaning it’s the layout that has always worked and makes sense to the most shoppers. They won’t be plopping a coffee shop right in the middle of the deli area to mess with people who are actually trying to shop like that other store(not naming names), and they won’t hide the frickin butter in the middle of the baking aisle just to make you scratch your head(ok, I will name names, looking at you Bel Air!). At SaveMart I’ve found almost all of my staples easily(still addicted to Raley’s brand sparkling water, dang them), and most things are reasonably priced. The produce is fresh and healthy-looking, and there is a nice variety. The selection of beer/wine/booze isn’t bad and prices are competitive. The store is clean; every time I’ve been, there are employees cleaning, restocking, and just generally being industrious. Most important for me though, is the vibe is never manic, at least at the times I’ve been. The other major groceries in the area always seem to be filled with people rushing around wildly regardless of when you visit. Maybe they can’t find the frickin butter either. At SaveMart, I can park easily, get a cart, and stroll amiably along, crossing things off my list, before making my purchases and leaving. Simple. Easy. Like it should be. So keep doing what you’re doing SaveMart. I’ll be a loyal customer for years to come. Just don’t move the butter.

I used to love this store, they had pretty much everything and at good prices. Plus, it’s the closest grocery store to my home. But more and more over the last few years, the shelves are TERRIBLY stocked, so 80% of the time, an item I’m looking for in particular is completely out. There are particular flavors of oatmeal or tea that they just neglect to restock for weeks at a time(for just a couple examples). They also continue to completely get rid of popular items. I can no longer find regular yogurt parfaits because they have replaced them ALL with Greek yogurt. I’m going to have to start shopping elsewhere because it’s usually just a waste of time to even go in there. Might as well shop at Grocery Outlet for all the inconsistency.

The people are not unfriendly. But definitely are not customer service enthusiasts. Prices are insanely marked up outside of their beer section which is reasonably priced. They have the nerve to have their employees inform you that«you saved x dollars shopping here!» when in reality you obviously just spent way too much for way too little. Grocery Outlet is down the street and is at least reasonably priced if nothing else.

It seems like they are jacking up the prices and then putting some colorful discount tag to appears as if you’re getting some great deal when you’re not. Disgusting Corporate BS! Two stars for having a bathroom and redbox.

Sad! I love the Grass Valley store but this one is terrible and don’t expect any help at the deli! The employees are scattered and can’t keep track of who is next, I have been waiting for them to finish my order for 15 minutes and have watched the two woman in the deli help four other people before helping the woman that was right after me! They keep saying, we’ll be right with you, and then keep helping other people who walk up to the counter in front of her! Terrible.
