Came here recently with some family and friends to watch the Iron Bowl. We originally stopped here the night before the game and didn’t get in. It was such a long line and just wasn’t worth the wait. Fast forward to the next day, came in to watch the game. It was pretty nice that there was no cover especially with such a big game being broadcasted there. I stayed mainly in the main room where the I think the front entrance is located. I was told there was some food upstairs so I walked up to get some. After my little adventure to get some food I quickly realized that this place was pretty big. On top of that, the food was alright but pretty cheap. Same can be said about the drinks, cheap and pretty basic. All in all an alright place to go to in Auburn. To sum it up, a really huge bar with cheap food and drinks.

I’ve been going to SkyBar Café for years… first as a student and now as an alumna/adult! The drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is fun. However, unless it’s a game weekend, you will not see anyone over the age of 22 or 23. This is THE college bar in town and will always be crawling with students. The drinks are cheap and it can get a bit crowded, so I like to come here after I’ve already had a few! :) Most nights they have live music. When they don’t there will be karaōke so there area always fun times to be had! The front part of the bar does not have a roof, hence the name«SkyBar.» Sometimes when it’s raining they cover it with tarps, but last time I was there it poured and I got soaked. The back part of the bar is only open on busier nights and will either have a DJ to dance to or a larger cover band!

Was in town for a football game and we stopped here as it was close to the stadium and seemed like a solid choice. It’s got a lot of different spaces/areas to hang out at including on top with a great view especially during the right weather. Very welcoming to us out of town visiting fans, this is a must stop on the way to the game.

Best bar in auburn hands down. Age group 21 – 25. cover music but a variety of it. Drink specials on Wednesday 3 dollar 32oz well drinks. Over 6 large bars and plenty of bartenders. Tons of security too. Over 20 tvs and in GameDay projector screens. Huge balcony upstairs. And when its cold, heaters on all night and alot of them. Follow the rules and be kind and you’ll have a badass time. Best bar in the south east.

This place is an eyesore to the community and takes up valuable space in a prime real estate location. I have lived in Auburn since 1989 and I have watched this«bar» change names a million times. It’s a haven for the young college rookie or the wannabe that hasn’t realized that they are too old to be seen in places such as these. My niece won’t even step foot in there because it is so disgraceful and to put it in her words, «Just sad.» The bouncers attitudes are HORRIBLE. I really cannot stress this enough. They are rude, have no people skills, hold double standards, and really aren’t fit to work security at a 24⁄7 truck stop, much less a college town bar. I think that this place should be completely redone and re-opened as a really good restaurant or something other than what it’s already been, in order to really make downtown Auburn what it truly could be. For Auburn to be a college town, their downtown«campus life» is some of the worst I have ever seen and I have been all over. I would love for Auburn’s downtown area to become more than a laughing stock to most other SEC colleges. #shutdownSkyBar

A place meant for children to be honest. If you are an adult not looking to creep on college age kids just steer clear of this place. Bouncers have seen Roadhouse too many times, drinks are weak and lines for them are long.

I’m a 100 pound female who was intimidated by all three bouncers trying to get in the door. Not one had a kind voice or a good attitude. I’m not expecting you to kiss my ass but I most certainly expect you to be a decent human being when I’m trying to enter this place of business. One dude got inches from my face, stood over me and said«you can’t come in this door.» No problem, but there was no need for his intimidation. When I called him an asshole and walked off he started yelling at me called me a bitch, then asked if he could fuck me. Lovely, huh? If you want a place where are the young, young college students hang out and the bouncers are assholes, then this is the place for you. Not a place for mature people.

Skybar is totally great for what it is. Just make sure that’s what you’re into before you go. It’s clearly the most popular bar in town and always has a line wrapped around the block. There are multiple large rooms. One for more of a live band atmosphere and the other for more dance music. Both rooms are generally pretty packed and hard to get around in. The servers were all nice and we had no problem getting drinks. If you are a college age human and looking to mingle, this place is a solid five stars. If that’s not your scene, there are several places near by that aren’t quite as chaotic.

This bar is full of underage drinkers. The bouncers are rude and overly aggressive. I witnessed the bouncer throw a guy on the ground, smash his head on the cement and choke him. It was very unsettling.

Generally, It’s the last place to come with friends for a drinking night, usually it’s Friday. Small but crowded. Poor and bored people get together and have fun for a next day forgot time.

This place has gotten a lot better since I was in school. The upstairs and balcony really add to the name. Instead of an open roof you can actually go to the roof. Luckily they put bathrooms up there and a huge bar. If you are in Auburn and want the most busy bar with the most going on then this is the place.

I finally made it here after the renovations and they have definitely improved! There’s a lot of different platforms which may seem weird at first but it works out perfectly. They have made this giant country bar feel more intimate by separating it out in different areas. Their bathrooms have improved, service has improved, and it feels like a fun relaxing brighter country bar to hang out. Always be prepared for a line and for cover. The specials and the bands playing here are unrivaled across all of the bars in Auburn.

Now, I’m not from anywhere near the South, so I’m not sure if this is a «normal» bar… we certainly don’t have anything like this in the Bay Area, or in Haifa. First of all the place is HUGE. It’s easily over 10,000 square feet, and they pack it. The $ 5.00 cover isn’t really a deterrent, as people just keep flooding in as the night goes on. Drinks aren’t too expensive, and there are plenty of bartenders. The front portion of this place was manned by a live country music band. They cover all the most popular country music songs, and the crowd really gets into it. I’m sure it’s pretty played out around these parts, but we were pretty excited to hear a rendition of Sweet Home Alabama while actually in Alabama. We were wondering why people kept coming in and out of a door toward the far end of the bar. Was this the bathroom area? Nope. How about a massive dance floor with a full-on rap concert by a band that I swear could rival the black eyed peas. They went on for hours, and the place was going crazy. The energy level was probably elevated by the fact that Auburn had a home game the next day. Nonetheless, thanks for a great experience.

OK not sure how to rate this place, since I’ve known the space since it was Darnell’s way back in the day and it’s gone through a bunch of other iterations. It’s nice that it’s open air, but it’s really not set up that well but I suspect during the year when students are in that it gets packed and full of drunken revelers. Over the Thanksgiving break I ended up here twice and met some fun people here so I can’t really complain about it too much. Drinks are reasonable and the girl trying to get people to do karaōke was very compelling. If you wanna be able to smoke then this bar is for you. It was also nice to meet Lauren and Tracey here as well as the other girls that my buddy Vlad connected with…
