While I never thought I would write a review on here, I continue to have issues with my vehicle after a stop at this particular shop in October 2012, and feel others should know to avoid it. I went in for a routine oil change, the repercussions of which I will describe below, and while I realize I am a young blonde girl, I do not appreciate being treated as though I do not understand the basics of auto repair. The technician came out after the oil change pleading with me that I have my anti-freeze replaced, little did he know I had tested it myself recently and found it would have held up to –45 degrees F(a temperature I don’t expect Worcester county to experience anytime soon). I told him I wasn’t interested and after badgering me a bit more he finally moved on to recommend a few other fluid replacements. I decided to have the transmission fluid flushed and replaced as my car is nearing its tenth year and it has never been done, but passed on the rest. While my particular technician was completing this work, I witnessed another employee push fluid changes on every other person in the waiting room for various reasons. I highly doubt all five of us needed the exact same things. But here is the reason I am really writing this. About a month and a half after my visit, one of my belts needed replacing while I was out of state. While checking out the rest of my car the mechanic working on my belt realized a new plug in my oil pan… and why exactly would this be there you might ask, had I asked it to be replaced? Oh no, it had to have been installed by Speedee he said, the last people who had worked on my vehicle, because low and behold the inexperienced or lazy technician there had stripped my oil pan during the routine oil change I had commissioned them for back in October. The technician at Speedee did not handle things properly, ended up stripping the pan, and covered it up by putting a new one in and not telling me about it. Long story short oil was all over the bottom of my car, the oil pan had to be replaced, and I was out $ 300.00. Even the transmission fluid replacement they did do at Speedee seems to have made my car more sluggish than before… prompting me to comment so long after the fact. End of story, pick another shop, there are plenty around for decent prices and you’ll save yourself a headache.
