Crystal is great! She was new to town but so friendly and talented. I only got a wash and trim (no styling since I was going straight home and wanted to avoid extra heat on my hair for no reason), so it only costed $ 25 (I’m not sure if it would have costed more had I opted to have it styled, though.). I added a $ 10 tip because I just love good service, and Crystal was very thorough. She made sure to ask if I wanted my hair washed (of course!), and then she repeated back to me exactly what I wanted and didn’t make me feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want to. On top of that, we had friendly conversation without the whole awkward «I’m suddenly your best friend because I need you to come back and get your hair cut» thing. She politely guided me to the front desk, offered me her card, and took my payment (without pressuring me to tip her at all!). They take credit cards (I used Discover) through SquareCard, so you can add your tip from their calculations, too, if you forget how to calculate percentages on the spot. I’m doing long, loose curls for my wedding next week, so I feel confident her trim will make them lay just right!
