Pros: Good hot dogs, amazing french fries(pretty good bang for your buck!). Overall a good restaurant. It has fun sayings on the wall. Cons: HOTHOTHOT inside always, long wait, a little overpriced, doesn’t take cards, outdated inside. They usually have a bad attitude when taking orders. Like«I don’t want either of us to be here. You need to go away so I can leave» vibes.

The owner is a sweet old man that knows how to make dogs & the best fries I’ve ever had. This is an amazing place that auburn is lucky to have in its community. I love it every time I go!_

This is a really good place to eat. Friendly staff. The half order of fries are huge. I will be going back to this place.

Worked in Auburn for 8 years, and just found this place. Ordered a chili cheese dog and«half» order of fries. Let’s break this down: 1) Hot dog. This place uses high quality hot dogs with that crisp bite into the casing. YES! There’s a sign in the middle of the place with a Wilbur’s Wiener Works with a description of the hot dogs. Not sure if that’s a historical sign(from its previous incarnation), or if it’s actually the product being served. In any case, it’s a good dog. 2) Chili and cheese. Chili consistency was a little runny, not messy though. Real cheddar cheese. Not canned cheese sauce. 3) Fresh cut french fries, skin on. None of that frozen B.S. Things to note: Cash only. No problem. Love the handwritten quotes on the wall though attribution to who said what would have been nice.

This place makes a decent hot dog. Fries are ok– they do become soggy if you do not eat right away. However, the lady working the front counter is so incredibly unpleasant that it is shocking they are still in business. She did not ask me if I wanted it to go or even if I wanted a drink with my meal! I thought they were a business that wants to make money, more people are inclined to order something if they are asked. If they were nicer people or even half decent I am sure they would have more customers.

Best mustard polish dog I’ve ever had! The dog had a perfect snap and the bun was soft and steamed. The chili cheese fries are enough for 2 grown men to take on and it’s all reasonably priced. Only small downside is that it is cash only!

Really really like it here. I live in Lincoln and was up here on business. I stopped here because 10 years ago was the last time I was here! It was so memorible! A little inconvenient that they only take cash. It obviously works for them because they’ve been open so long. I ordered the chili cheese fries and my friend covered me. When she ordered hers without onions, I made sure the onions were on mine. I got charged am extra $.50 for onions. That’s dumb. Oh well. The chili cheese fries were good, except for the saltiness of them. I did watch the man in back season the fries when he was helping make them. So next time, I will say no seasoning. I feel like the flavor of the chili, cheese, and onions without the seasoning would have been good enough.

got ½ hr for lunch. Pull in. Only 4 people all at one table eating n talking. Finally after 7 min. I get asked what do you want. I say #4 dog, sm fries, water.21 min goes by so I ask. Did you forget about me and took 5 more min. to put dog on my table but no fries. The actual hot dog meat is cold. I let her know and no answer. I get up n ask what about fries. 5 min. later they come out but to late to eat em. Run to work.15 min. late from lunch. Boss mad at me. Never go back.

Was excited to have a hot dog from this place. Went in to order and the girl at the counter was so rude. Will never go back

I knew when it took awhile to prepare our order that this was going to be good, steamed buns, beer steamed all natural dogs, amazing fries!

Best hotdog place in the world. The owner is nice if you’re not a dick. The stuff on the walls is funny if you’re not mentally ill. Just another opinion, of course.

It’s a hotdog shop. Buns are steamed, hotdogs are all natural. Clean an mostly tidy. The chili cheese fries(½ or full order) are an amazing precursor to your future clogged arteries but the stuff of Sunday football munchies dream of becoming. The sausages tasty. It’s a hole in the wall that locals know of. But it’s not a cart on a corner without overhead, or the 7 – 11 roller dog. You pay for the quality of the food. It has cheeky sayings all over the walls, are they offensive… Well if you’re walking around expecting the world to be PC at all times, then it’s not the atmosphere you are looking for. Get over it. Most of it is just entertaining and some is off color. That is part of the kitch. Working nearby, I was a regular customer for 6+years and the owner I doubt knows my face and certainly not my name, but come for the food, not the company. You can be in and out in less than 20.

Offensive Atmosphere, Only Whites Welcome, Apparently Who cares about the quality of the food when the quality of the owners is so poor? A photograph on the board to the right of the register showed a burqua-clad woman and her female child standing between two black trash bags filled with garbage. The caption read«I told her she had three beautiful children. She didn’t have to get all pissed off and threaten me with a bomb. It was an honest mistake.» This is trash. It was perhaps the most offensive piece on a wall of offensive pieces. While the owner has a right to his opinion, I have the right to mine as well and the owner of this repugnant restaurant will never see one dime of my money. Note to the owner: Your ignorance and hatred taint your food and our community. Grow up.

One of the best hot dog places I’ve ever eaten at and may be the best. The prices are comparable to other hot dog places. I have a hard time paying that much for food you can make for a tenth the price but it’ll never taste as good as here. I agree the chili cheese fries are killer, literally you may have a heart attack but you’ll die with a great taste in your mouth and I there’s more than enough for two adult men in a half order if you get a hot dog too. The owner doesn’t care if you’re upset about the customer service. He makes good food and doesn’t care if you have something to say about it. The other workers are sweet though. Only gets docked one star because of customer service which I personally think is funny and fun to watch but probably turns a lot of people away. I recommend trying it and not complaining and be as nice as possible to Wilbur(the owner) and all will go just fine.

2 chili cheese /onion dogs with a ½ order of fries… plus tax.$ 13.+. Just finished eating mine and the wife just finished hers… take out… They are ok… nothing to go out of the way for… When asked if the chili was home made or can… I was told they couldn’t tell me… SOOOOO that tells me… Dog not bad… nice snap… Clean place… service good… no complaints… I don’t like soft french fries… which as I drove home you know I ate some… and they were soft… Bummer… Over all… OK… Weasel…

Are you ready for the most satisfying heart attack of your life??? Get a *HALF* order of chili cheese fries from Weiner Works. It fills up half the tray. They make them right when you order. You may need two people to eat it. Words cannot describe the greasy splendor of these fries. You’ll have to see for yourself. Go. Now.
