My wife and I have been buying our Christmas trees from here for the last four years and we love it. I grew up always going out to a tree farm trudging through the woods to find that perfect tree and helping my Mom cut it down, so I was really glad to find a place like Trees’n’Bees in the area. They have several fields and a wide array of trees. Yes, they cost a bit more than the $ 30 – 40 trees at the grocery store parking lot, but the experience of going out and find the right tree and the freshness of the tree are totally worth it. This year we bought a 7-foot Norwegian Spruce for $ 60, I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $ 80 on a tree there and I don’t regret it at all. In addition to the tree farm, they have a building where they sell local honey, bee keeping supplies and Christmas décor. I plan on making this a family tradition for my kids so they can have all the great Christmas memories I have too.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The gentleman who met us explained all about the farm and was quite knowledgeable about the selection and the varieties of trees(they have some 13 types to choose from). The carts are very useful… my kids took turns towing each other around in the mud as we hunted the land for our tree. We enjoyed looking at the animals and sampling the honey they sell in the Pavilion. Unfortunately, a large number of the trees are dying. Many more are too large/mature to fit in most living rooms. And regrettably those that remain are priced at $ 14−20/foot. I saw several 6′-7′ Nobles priced over $ 125. We saw a gorgeous Norway spruce at $ 90 for a 7′ tree. Lots of the trees were untagged. The staff said they’d be happy to come out and price one if we saw an untagged tree over 6′. But that would involve slogging back in the mud, returning, then finding out the trees were too expensive for our budget. Rather than face the inconvenience, we decided to find another farm. The family that runs this place is friendly, and certainly well intentioned. I’ve since found out that the patriarch who ran the business for some 35+ years passed away last Spring. If the price is in your budget — then the service is worth the trip to this family tree operation. But they were too expensive for my family’s needs. Pros: Family atmosphere. Great experience. Cons: Prices too high.

The hours of operation vary by season, so check their Website before you go. This is an excellent Christmas tree farm that also sells beekeeping supplies as well as honey. We have tried other farms and this one was excellent. It is easily accessible with lots of parking. They have a big selection and quite a few varieties of trees. There were lots of friendly employees on duty. We pulled up and an employee greeted us and let us know where to go. We grabbed a saw an a cart and stumped off into the woods. We found an excellent tree quickly — all of the trees that you can cut are clearly marked with a price. We cut it down and towed it back to the barn where they shook the loose needles out and wrapped it to make it easier to take home. Then they put it on the roof of the car for us. We were in and out of there in no time with an excellent tree. I think that this is now the official place to get trees every year.
