Vlad’s Alterations

Great work. My droopy fine Italian suit now fits like a glove.
She got it done two days sooner than promised as well.

I would come here and being new clothes to be altered once a week until recently when I brought in a top to be altered and taken in, then when I went to put it on and it wasn’t fitted. Very large still. So I brought it back in and the lady literally flipped a lid and lost composure. Then she brought out another lady and they were yelling at me in Russian. She blamed me for it not being fitted because I had washed it. She grabbed it out of my hands and screamed «you pick up 3pm!!!»
She had some issue with it being crinkled (where she had sewn elastic into the sides) from being washed when my complaint was that it didn’t fit correctly. Not that it was crinkled which it was before I washed anyway. Obviously there’s some language barrier but sheesh lady! Don’t YELL at your English-​speaking-​loyal-​paying-​customer because she will find another tailor!
I came by the next day to pick up and she told me I could no longer wash my shirt (which btw was not «dry clean only» before being altered) Very rude and I will not be returning.

I’ve taken in quite a few items to be altered here and have been very pleased each time. The quality of the work is very good and everything has been ready on time. The earlier review was spot on, particularly with the woman I always see there.

Finally didn’t throw clothes away or donate them; but took my first pair of moderately expensive jeans in to be altered. The problem with them was the «boot cut» on the originally purchased pair of pants looked more like some blatantly HUGE pair of 70’s bell bottoms. I went to Vlad’s Alterations from a referral from a friend I work with who takes her Miss Me jeans in to be hemmed because they are so long, I was warned that the office lady isn’t the friendliest.
I walked in and was greeted normally, I think that people’s interpretations of her coming across as «rude» is really in the language barrier, but she understood everything I needed and was very easy to understand. She needed to reconstruct the bottom of my pant leg, I tried the jeans on, she pinned them EXACTLY the way I wanted and had my item ready on the date agreed to 4 days later. She wasn’t over talkative but friendly and polite, her service was spot on, and my jeans fit me PERFECTLY and are EXACTLY the way I wanted, they look better than any store bought jean I own because they are fitted to me and my body and at $ 16 you can’t beat that!
I would highly recommend coming here, can’t wait to raid my closet and my husband’s closet to bring in more items for her to fix and have that completely custom made touch
