This temple studies the branch of Theravada Buddhism. The monks are from Thailand and Laos. Alms are accepted at 10AM. Sunday seems to be the busy day, but you can show up during other days of the week as well. This Wat(Thai for Temple) is really big and is located on about seven acres. It has two stories. There is also a library to study in and they teach classes for both scripture and the Thai language. Feel free to bring food and or money to donate during the morning alms. The monks offer prayers and blessings if you ask. The current monks here eat both meat and vegetarian items, so there isn’t really any restriction on foods. If you cannot bring anything, the Wat has prepackaged items for $ 20 which you can buy for an offering to the monks if you wish. If you pick up a complimentary calender it shows what days the big celebrations are held.
