Salem’s Gyros & More

We’ve been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Tried the burger, gizzards, gyro, philly cheesesteak, fries and poppers. Everything has tasted really good. Served hot and under 5 mins. Much rather eat there than other fast food places.

Across from Wawa and Winn Dixie off Havendale. Made to order sandwiches and salads. Nice and bright. Open late too. Parking area is well lit.

How can a place, of business increase price a one piece fish dinner with a side and drink from $ 4.99 to $ 7.99 in a years time. With no senior discount. I can go to Capt D, s and get 2 pieces of fish plus, 2 sides for $ 6.00

How on Earth can you mess up the first order of the day? Than look at the customer like im crazy. All I order was a cheeseburger. Not a meal. Just a burger. Been sitting in dt for 12 minutes…

I’ve had it with this Salem’s.
Look. Read all my reviews. You’ll see «Hey, this guy votes in extremes. They’re either 5 stars if he really likes it or 1 star if he hates it.» These are informed reviews. I dont go in once; have a bad time and then say «Welp I’m going to ruin this place’s day.» Places that royally piss me off or make me feel cheated get scathing reviews while good ones get raving reviews and recommendations and me being a regular. I dont waste my time, and I dont want to waste anyone’s time by giving mediocre reviews about mediocre places. I want you to read this and know you are not getting a line of crap.
I’ve been to this Salem’s enough times to come to the conclusion that I will never step foot in here again.
1 — There’s never the same group of people working there. This does not mean «different work day different staff» It looks like every time I am in there someone is new to working there. Case in point: today I had yet another cashier that was new to using a register. A revolving staff is not good, and does not help a place if I want to be a regular.
2 — Their «sales» or «specials» are not consistent. There was a deal where you could buy one gyro and get one free. So, I went in and asked for two gyros, fries, and a drink. I was told they arent able to do that because it was a combo. This is bullshit.
2.5 They’re stingy as hell with their ketchup packets. Are the tomatoes that creates the ketchup for these packets squeezed betwixt the tits 1000 of beautiful virgins? No. 3 per to go order of fries is ridiculous. 3 more when i ask for more is guess what? STILL not enough.
2.55 — Nothing sets me off more than a rip in a Gyro. Got a rip in my gyro today!
3 — I wait 15 – 20 minutes and sometimes more for my food. This is bad. I have to go to the counter and tell them my order, and my name and wait longer for the staff in the back to get their heads out of their rear so I can get my food. I could literally walk to Harbor Freight, browse, make a purchase and walk back and my order would still not be ready.
My company was given a stack of 15% off coupons for Salem’s. After today, I threw all mine and the menu I had on my wall away. I will not perpetuate this place getting any business related to me anymore.
A&F Gyros and Subs on 17; when and as often as I do, want a gyro I will be going there. They have a gyro lunch special that’s less than Salem’s combo, it’s the same sized meal, and I do not have to wait a quarter of my lunch hour waiting for food that wont be eaten/​wolfed down 15 minutes later because my lunch time is gone. (15 to drive there from work, line wait, 15 minutes to wait for food, 15 min drive back = 1 hr.)
Do YOURSELF that same favor and go there too. NOT Salem’s.
