Great hoagies, pizza. Why anyone would buy a sandwich from Wawa or Subway when Cacia’s is open is completely beyond me. They also have the best Italian bread/rolls around. Friendly neighborhood staff. Love Cacia’s!

The best. Desserts are wonderful, too. Ricotta cake is outstanding. Always helpful and knowledgable staff. They take great care of their customers.

I love the made to order cakes either sheet or 8 inch round. They have the best buttercream icing I have ever had. If you love icing, you must try it. I am now disappointed by any other cake.(The cupcakes are good but not the same as the cakes.) the cannoli and pizza by the slice are also great. The customer service is also great.

The tomatoe pie is great if you can get them to make you a fresh one ordered by phone it was obvious that it was not freshly made called to complain second try ordered again stopped in store pie was not made they tried to give one that was sitting under lights and they gave me a hard time about it when I would not take it… for these reasons I would not go back

Um, their«pizza» is «Italian bakery tomato pie» that you get at lots of bakeries — and not the product you get at a pizzeria. If that’s what you’re looking for then go there and not here. The bread looks good but is is that really soft crap that a lot of people like and not crusty with a toothsome crumb like real Italian bread. I tried it a few times just in case they had a bad day but it was still wonder bread shaped like Italian bread each time. The owner is quite a jackass. The last time I went(which is literally the last time) he harassed me for giving him a dollar coin. I had no paper money left and he’s telling me he can’t take the coin because«it messes him up». It’s legal tender for all debts public and private, skeezix.

I just took my husband who grew up in rural PA to experience his first Philly/South J style«hoagie» and he loved it. We got the Our Italian Favorite(or something like that) which is a pretty standard Italian hoagie on fresh homemade bread for $ 7.40($ 15 and change for a whole). We ordered a half and split it, it was perfect. The half is supposed to be 7″ but it’s HUGE, maybe even closer to double that at 14″; the whole is supposed to be 14″ but is more like two feet long, so unless you’re a beast or sharing with multiple people, I’d stick with the half. We also had a slice of tomato pie and a slice of plain cheese which were fantastic; I was skeptical about the cheese because when I took it out of the to-go container to heat it up, i had never seen so much grease in my life from something so small. Seriously, one slice was greasier than a Meat Lovers pie from Pizza Hut. But keep the grease! It was sooooo tasty; lots of sauce — almost half an inch of thick sauce — and topped with just the right amount of cheese. Both the cheese slice and tomato pie had a lot of flavor, which I’m assuming is from the copious amounts of well-spiced sauce. Inside was relatively clean and the employees were just as gruff and uninterested in us as you’d expect from a South Philly/South Jersey«bakery.» I was a little bummed that they didn’t heat up the pizza for us to eat right there, but obviously it’s takeout only because there was no place to sit. They had a bunch of different desserts in the case, about half of which looked good; the cupcakes didn’t look that fresh but the cannoli’s looked AMAZING. I imagine this has more to do with the fact that it’s only 2 days after Christmas and desserts probably aren’t moving too fast off the shelves anymore. Fresh Italian bread, loaves, and rolls are also available for purchase, and the prices are reasonable. They also had daily specials that may or may not change; today it was any 12 slices of pizza for $ 9; on Sundays they have roast beef or roast pork sandwiches for $ 4($ 4.50 w/cheese). They also do catering; we ordered there for my sister’s bridal shower last year and the sandwiches were really fresh despite the mass-produced quantity. In sum: reliably good and a legit Italian hoagie /bakery joint.

Cacia’s is a South Philly staple and I’d wager that anyone from the area would say they were fortunate to grow up with both this bakery and Primo’s right next to each other. Now that I live in South Jersey, I’m lucky to have both of these establishments nearby once again. We go to Cacia’s every week to pick up rolls, pizza dough, and the occasional pizza. The square pizza is perfect for a quick meal or as an appetizer at your party. The hard rolls are ideal for any sandwich. We usually buy two dozen and freeze most of them. This Cacia’s also makes good hoagies and pastries too. There are some items, like Tiramisu, that they do not have on display but can make upon request.

Wanted to really like this place, because it’s close and local, but the pizza is square and plain tasting. I’ve also had a chicken sandwich… nothing special, I’ve experienced better.

Cacia’s~~ An atypical Italian bakery with crusty bread! Go for untypical, but flavorful pizza. Sure…we all grew up with Del-Buono’s, but this is the real BREAD/ROLLS deal and everything they offer reeks of a South Philly deli. They do offer hoagies and some deserts, but we haven’t ventured there yet. As for the pizza– variety and flavor reign! Rolls and bread Italian style…
