The draw here is that it is right on the Katy trail. Our Octoberfest beer was fine but a bit flat. Had a chicken wrap. Passable. Don’t fall for the bavarian pretzel just a super pretzel out of the freezer. .Setting is fun, nice hillside sunny spot. Order taker at counter has an attitude. For gods sake don’t get confused about where to pick up your food, i got a school child lecture over that. Clearly doesn’t get customer/guests concepts.

Everywhere I go animals flock to me. If only I had an ark to hoard them all on. The golden retriever on the property is worthy of all. If you have a soul you must come here if not for the beer or food but for this lovely specimen. This place is amazing for its view, staff & property. The food was nothing special but by no means awful. For seven dollars you can get a flight to sample your selected choices. The beer was great had I more time I’d have stayed much longer drinking. A thunderstorm was approaching & we sat under the covered deck enjoying the lighting. This place seems like it would be a blast at night with some live music. There are fire pits and ample seating. Definitely worth a visit; specially if you’re enjoying the Katy Trail for the day as it’s right off the path.

We love going to Augusta so when we were invited to spend a Sunday listening to a friends band playing here(Been Wilder), we jumped at the chance. ABC is nestled deep within the historic city, along the Katy Trail. If you’re unfamiliar with the area you’ll probably be wondering where maps is leading you(especially if you’re use to going to Augusta Winery, which it is not near). Parking is ample but be prepared to walk up stairs to get to the sitting areas. They do have under the awning seating, as well as seating under your own table with umbrellas and chairs out under bigger umbrellas on their lawns. We didn’t have people coming to us for our order, so we went to the bar and ordered. They have a great selection of beers, sodas and a few bottles of wine for purchase. Be prepared to spend a nice penny as my margarita was $ 8 — it was delicious but not worth that price. People we were with ordered food as we did not, it looked great and we’ll try it next time we stop by. Great atmosphere, great band and a great Sunday in Wine Country!

We ride on and around the Katy Trail a lot, and we just keep coming back to Augusta Brewery for a number of reasons. — They are biker friendly, with water coolers available(yes, Sugar Creek will actually turn you away if they see you holding a water bottle…) — They have food, good food! We usually get the smoked wings, but this past weekend I tried the grilled cheese BLT. 5 stars. — Bikes and Beer — noones says«bikes and sugary sweet wine»

Food is tasteless and in amazingly small portion. Menu is very limited and outdated. View is good.

Great little winery. Tasty wine and quiet area. Staff is friendly and plenty of wine tasting is available if you’re unsure what you want. Will be back for sure.

This place was a pleasant surprise! I went a while ago but didn’t think to write a review till now. It’s a small establishment, but don’t let that deter you. They have a really nice patio too, surrounded by what appears to be a bamboo thicket(I did not realize until moving here that people had bamboo growing in their yards as weeds, more or less.) The inside is pretty small but I like the intimacy of it. Definitely one of those places that’s more on the casual side but you could dress up and call it a date night just the same as I noticed there were biker-esque dudes out front on the patio bar area and inside, there was a couple on a first date(and their conversation was both hilariously cute and awkward at the same time.) Yeah, it’s small enough that if it’s just you and one other couple in the room, you probably will hear most of what they’re saying. I had chicken pasta dish with an alfredo-y sauce. My friend had hot wings. A pretty interesting mix of menu items. To drink, I had some delicious wheat beer. It was soooo good I almost got a growler. Next time I want to for sure! Lots of parking in their lot, but the place was a tad tricky to find. GPS got confused a few times but eventually sorted it out. Service was great! And I loved the little fireplace in the dining room. Very quaint. They had a fire going. It was a little chilly and rainy that afternoon and it was relaxing to sit by the fireplace, knit, and drink beer with my friend. I am looking forward to going back soon.

My wife left her sunglasses after we had dinner. Went back the next day to see if they had them and the server remembered finding them the day before. She goes back to get them from lost and found and WOW!!! They are missing??? Bunch of thieves!!! Beware!!!

The staff that works here is outstanding! They make coming in to this establishment fun and entertaining. The conversations are light hearted and fun with multiple people talking. Even people that never new each other.

I’m between 3 and 4 stars for this place… if I could give it a 3.5, I would. I’ll round up since I’m generous. Let’s start with the good: 1. They have several beers to choose from ranging from very light to very dark. So yay for variety! 2. You can have glasses(can’t remember the price), samplers(4 for $ 7), or pitchers of their beer($ 14). 3. It is a nice change from all of the wineries in the area. 4. They are located right next to the Katy Trail and walking distance from Mount Pleasant, Holy Grail, and Augusta wineries so I would say they are in a pretty good location. 5. They serve food. Not sure how good or bad their food is since we didn’t order any. 6. You can get a free small taste of any of the beers before you buy, which is nice. 7. For those of you who don’t like beer, I believe they also have wine. On the day we went, they had mixed pumpkin spice drinks(which were tasty). The not-so-great 1. The scenery is okay. Compared to other places in the area I would say it is pretty subpar, but I think most people come for the beer and not for the view. The tables and chairs were less than to be desired as well. We came in October so I don’t know if that had something to do with it. 2. Their samplers are pretty expensive in my opinion. $ 7 for 4 beers? That seemed steep to me compared to other places that I’ve gotten samplers from. 3. You can’t mix and match for the sampler. You either have to get their light set of beers or their dark set of beers. I’m guessing this makes it easier for the line to keep moving, but I would have preferred to mix and match my beers. In terms of the beers I tried, I really liked their stout and their Chile beer is super interesting, but probably not the type of beer I could drink a whole glass of. Finally, their Pumpkin beer is EXCELLENT. I would highly recommend trying that beer. Overall, definitely something you should check out, but I think there is still room for improvement here.

Great place to stop during a bike ride! This place is right off the KATY Trail and has some great drafts. Food is decent and they go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of!

Beer ok –place is a little gross. We went here after Montelle winery. We all got samplers but really only liked one or two beers. The bathrooms are both unisex and both gross. There is fly tape hanging from the ceiling with tens of dead flys stuck to it. At 5 o’clock they serve dinner and kicked us out of our seat enough though we had spent a lot of money on booze and food. It seemed small but the atmosphere was fun which is the reason for a two star and not one.

This place is a welcome Oasis when you’re riding the Katy Trail. Everything you could possibly want, Shade,(tables with umbrellas) comfortable seating(inside or outside), food(appetizers, salads, sandwiches, or burgers), and Icy, cold beer(bottles or draft). The brewery sits on a hill that is terraced and landscaped with orange day lilies, trees, and lush green grass. There is plenty of seating, as well as plenty of types of seating. Long tables for groups, more intimate dining inside, and seating near the bar. Since the restaurant sits on a hill, the bikes below are visible from most of the tables. Many of the reviewers mention live music, but during the day there is just very pleasant background music via a sound system. When you order your food they give you a pager that will light up when your food is ready. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I chose the Augusta Summer Shandy, light, crisp, and utterly refreshing. The perfect summer beer. And to enhance the Summer beer, a Buffalo chicken wrap. Moist chicken wrapped up in a spinach flavored tortilla with a large side of crunchy kettle chips. This is not 5 star dining, but it is casual dining in a beautiful and unexpected place… in the middle of no where… smack dab on the Katy Trail!

Stopped in during a drive around Augusta on a Saturday afternoon. Tried a couple of their featured drafts. The shandy was ok, the hefeweizen a little better. We had the salmon spread appetizer, which was exceptional, but the bread they served with it was almost stale. Really too bad that it wasn’t fresh to live up to the quality of the salmon spread. The other issue was the flys. Granted it is outdoor dining, but some attention to minimizing the flys would be welcomed.

We did a spur-of-the-moment Katy Trail ride last Saturday and re-discovered the Augusta Brewing Co’s little patio bar down by the trail. It was an absolutely perfect day, but still the tables were only about half full and there were lots of seats in the shade. They have several ABC beers, along with a few bottle selections for non-drinkers or kids or people who don’t like craft beer. The bar staff was super friendly and quick with a taste if you’re not sure what you want. A one-man-band was playing and he happened to be excellent. Can’t think of any way we could have improved on this spot as a half-way point on our ride. We had our beers, chilled in the shade, then headed out. Maybe a half hour altogether. Leave your bike down by the trail. You can lock it I guess, but there’s really no need, especially since you can see all of them from most of the tables. A very nice stop if you’re riding the Katy Trail through Augusta.

What a nice little surprise on the Katy Trail. Tons of riders stop to have lunch a beer or glass of wine and got back on the trail. My friend was in heaven with the beer selections. This place will let you sample the beers, they are all on tap, no bottles. I had a glass of wine, they do not let you sample the wine. We did not try the food but it looked good what others were carrying to their tables. Tons of outside seating. and bonus the bathrooms were spotless. I probably wont go back because I am not a beer drinker, but it is a nice place.

I’m not a beer drinker, so I was skeptical about going here with some friends last Saturday. I needn’t have been. The inside is so cute. The wineries around here must wish they could compete! I ordered a delicious cider and a veggie burger. The patty was a little better than decent, which means it’s good for rural St. Charles County, the burger came with the works. The service was slow, and our server was forgetful. I’m hoping to bring my mother here. We’re no strangers to the wine trail, and this will be an interesting addition to our stops.

After biking 20 miltes on the Katy Trail, we were really really happy to arrive at the Augusta Brewing Company. It’s conveniently located right off the trail and had several bike racks for us leave our bike while we went up to the restaurant. The wait wasn’t too long and they gave us a buzzer that would shake when our food was ready. My hubby and I both ordered the beef burger with cheese(cheese is $ 1 extra), $ 17 total for 2 burgers that came with chips. I was happy with their clean bathrooms, and the comfortable cushioned chairs on the balcony. Comfy chairs are a must after ridding 20 miles on an uncomfortable bike seat… After the buzzer went off we picked up our food and I loved the condiments table with tomato, lettuce, pickles, sauerkraut, awesome mustard, bbq sauce ketchup, and onions. The only thing I would’ve changed is that the tomato and lettuce containers are open and there were at least 10 flies sitting on the veggies… kinda unappetizing. Otherwise, we both loved our juicy burgers and the crispy kettle chips that accompanied them! It was the perfect place to relax on the balcony, eat hearty food, and listen to live music. I highly recommend stopping by here if you’re biking through the Katy Trail!

Great beer plus a burger for $ 15. I thought this would be a full-on brew pub but it was more like an outside bar stand, which was rather unexpected. There is no indoor seating but they do have a covered patio along with a nice, extensive outdoor patio area with lots of seating. We got the sampler of 4 – 5 beers for $ 7 along with a nice-sized cheeseburger for ~$ 8. Their shandy beer with lemonade was nice, as was the Hefeweizen and dubbel. We tried their standard pale ale but were not big fans. They had around 8 – 9 beers on tap. The food looked like pretty standard bar food at reasonable prices. You order at the bar, get a buzzer, then pick up your order when it’s ready. It is right off the Katy trail — you can see it from the trail. And they have a large cooler of self-serve water which was nice for filling bottles if needed.

In Augusta for the Christmas Stroll(kind of a fail) with MIL and Wife. For the event ABC had created a special menu so I can’t comment on the usual fare. Ordered starter of crab cakes followed by the soup and then a couple salads and a tenderloin as entrees. so you know when you order a starter with you meal am boom it all comes at once. how is that a starter?!? ABC also out of Octoberfest :(had an IPA but was looking for something sweeter. Top off evening, we informed waitress that was MIL’s birthday and they provided a delicious piece of Irish Cake… with her soup. huh? And no candle? So how could ABC recover from such a terrible performance…1) removed Crab Cakes as they came out at same time as mains.2) removed my beer as wife’s tenderloin came out pretty late. but was cooked perfectly. A great location along Katy though so at a minimum come by in summer and sit in beer garden mid-ride
