My first interaction with a Property Management company came three years ago when I was attempting to rent my house. APPM was not my first choice. Moving is stressful, but trying to move while simultaneously trying to rent out your house is even more so. I first attempted to go with one of the bigger name real estate companies(Re/Max) to see whether or not they could assist me with this process. Upon first entering my home, which I had spent weeks preparing(replaced the AC, new appliances, thorough cleaning), they practically said my house was disgusting and that I would never be able to get anything out of it over 500 $ a month. My town home was one of several nice town-homes in Augusta in a small, quiet community. I knew the value of my home, but felt like Re/Max did not want to take the time or the effort to help me with renting it out because it would not net them as much profit as a larger home. APPM was the exact opposite. They made me feel like a valued customer, and within a couple of months, I had my first tenant. They report to me when there are any issues with the house, and even when my tenant moved out they had another one within the same month. I felt like they have been fair and honest with me, and have been relatively quick to respond when I have questions(typically within 24 hours). I read the former bad reviews that were posted, so I wanted to share a positive experience, as that is all that I have had with this company. Thank you.

These negative reviews seem strange to me, I’ve known John Youngblood forvery close to ten years now. We rented a home through him when we arrived to Augusta(when he was with a different company). We later purchased a home through him and now lease our two homes through him. When it time to purchase another home I sought out John and He and his team have gone the extra mile for us a number of times. I couldn’t wait for the lease on our 2nd home to be up so that we could get it managed by John. Even during the slowest time of the year, it wasn’t long until it was rented.

Regrets… 1.) I did not read Unilocal reviews about Augusta Partners Property Management(APPM) prior to signing with them. 2.) Signing with APPM to manage our rental property. The other Unilocal reviews are spot on… if you don’t have time to manage your property… Augusta Partners Property Management(APPM) won’t either. Oh but they’ll charge you! If you opt to sign with APPM… –YOU will have to make certain they act in accordance with the management agreement(you know the one you sign with them that they fail to read.) –YOU will have to check to make sure your leases are correct. and when they aren’t,(which will most likely be the case… as we’re two for two– 2 leases and both incorrect.) –YOU will have to correct the errors and follow up to make certain tenants sign. all while paying them 10% monthly for mismanaging your property. –YOU need to make sure you have tenants contact information, because APPMIS terrible about responding in a timely fashion. –YOU need to check on your property(APPM’s idea of quarterly inspections is to see if your tenants are good housekeepers.) APPM,… Wretchedly inept and useless… you’d be far better off managing your property yourself… you’ll wind up doing it anyway but won’t have to pay a monthly fee! Bonus!!!
