They came to troubleshoot why my unit was frozen over. It cost $ 95 for him to show up and $ 150 for him to blow a heat gun over the coils for 15 minutes. He said it would be another $ 150 to replace a functional but out of tolerance capacitor(held in by 2 screws and cost $ 18 from grainger). Kept trying to up sell their«annual» maintenance plan b/c it would discount any part & labor. Ends up my TXV was bad but he wanted to replace the entire coil(another $ 600 quote). All total, they charged me $ 250. My new guy charged me $ 200 for his visit, new TXV, and installation. I don’t doubt that it would have worked when they were done but do your due diligence and don’t call the first guy in the book like I did here.

Very happy with our experience working with Doc Savage. Our AC broke down in the middle of the summer and they replaced it quickly, explaining exactly what was wrong and what they were doing to fix it. They continue to check in and make sure it’s still working well for us.
