I would like to inform any future customers about my stay here at econo lodge. This place was filthy! Within minutes of us walking into the room we found roaches. We also noticed the bedding was inside out and who’s to say they actually cleaned the sheets properly and done so in a lazy manor. I also would like to also bring it to your attention they had blood stains on the carpet and they looked fairly fresh. The alarm clock was on the floor and behind the nightstand. The hotel also had ashes and dirt and dust everywhere with holes in the wall all around. I will not be staying with econo lodge ever again. We stayed due to the masters event going on in Augusta and there was nothing else available. This was a last resort and I was very dissatisfied.

Booked a hotel last minute because I was returning to Augusta at 3AM from a trip to Charleston. I called the hotel at 11PM and was able to secure a room for the early morning, which was extremely convenient. The price is very inexpensive — only $ 50 after fees. However, it is worth noting that you get what you pay for. This is a typical motel — not nice but decent enough to sleep in if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a nice hotel.

I’m giving this place 5 stars, with the understanding that it is a motel, and we don’t expect any luxuries. Actually, the price and the fact that it’s an EconoLodge told me I was in for something gross. But I was SO pleasantly surprised. The man who checked me in was extremely pleasant and polite, and the room was very clean! The bedding was clean too, and the comforter even smelled freshly laundered. The location was decent too(I think you could walk to the downtown strip), and I felt very safe. If you’re in a financial pinch, I definitely recommend this place.

A bright, clean, pleasant, little hotel. They make Choice hotels proud. 2013 #157 /365
