Five Guys Burgers and Fries

I’m updating my review from 4 to 5 stars. 5 guys has turned this location into a well oiled machine. They are consistent with fresh well made burgers and fries. My only problem is they are too good, sometimes I need to pass them by for my diets sake, but succumb to temptation and get one of their yummy burgers.

I didn’t realize what I was missing until I walked into this Five Guys a few years ago… The fries are the best but being low-​carb (most of the time), I have to «settle» with just eating their amazing bacon cheeseburger (minus the sesame seed buns)…Their unsweetened tea is delicious too.

This place is so delicious. They cook the fries in peanut oil and the give you so many fries. The burgers are always so incredibly juicy. They also have one of those Coca-​Cola freestyle drink machines. I have lived in Augusta almost all my life and this is the best burger in town!

Service is nice and where prepared for a group of teenagers late at night after our play. Some of my. friends that have never been loved it! And we just love their fries. Their burgers never turn out wrong and they are just the best. And if you’re in the mood for a sweet treat after go to yotopa just a couple stores down. They are great with groups too.

Best quick burger in town. Fries are good and the peanuts are good too!

Lovely~! Employees are super friendly, and very accommodating for a Keto diet. (Lettuce wrapped burgers, yum!) :)

Was OK. Not a great fan of this place. There are better places for junk. It is expensive. This time there seemed to be a team of 4 people, 3 were working very hard and the other one guy seemed to be messing about. Not doing a lot.
Would I go again maybe but it wouldn’t be my choice.

Needs a good manager to pay attention to this store, bad service & too much mustard sloshed on my bun will have me looking elsewhere in Aiken.

When you review a restaurant in Augusta you have to grade on a curve as there really aren’t any 5 star restaurants within 50 miles of the city…
With the curve in effect 5 Guys gets 5 stars as there really is no other place in Augusta to get this kind of quality. While the fries are greasy, they taste so good, plus they have Vinegar which is a nice added touch. The best part about the fries is that they ensure you get enough, basically filling your bag with a ton of fries. You pay a little bit more here but the quality and quantity is better than most «Fast Food» joints…
If you ate here every day you would get commited for being suicidal, but as a once every couple months treat, you can’t beat 5 Guys in Augusta…

Love their burgers! Second time coming here, since we don’t live in an area with Five Guys, but a MUST when we visit GA.

Double burger served all the way with A1 sauce and fries… nearly the happiest moments in my life when I’m eating here. Love the classic rock music and fast service.

Had to make a stop here on my trip to GA, the only location i go to and they never disappoint, bacon cheeseburger was perfectly done. service was fast and friendly!

They compare this place to In N Out which is a very popular burger joint on the west coast. I can see why bc if the fresh burgers but that’s just about it.
The place is clean and staff friendly but I was disappointed when I ordered a protein style burger. Unlike In N Out they don’t wrap it in lettuce. Instead they give you everything on the side. They don’t even have plates so you basically have to add all ingredients including lettuce, onions and condiments yourself to a foil wrapped burger.
I really think they need to improve on their «protein style» bc I rather go to Hardee’s for one.
I do like the peanuts they offer and there is usually plenty of seating. The fries are usually very oily but my kids like them so no worries.

I wanted a really good hamburger today and decide to stop in because I have heard great things about this place. And what a goood burger I had. The place was complete packed, that should have been a sign of good food. The burger was a double-​decker, juicy explosion in my mouth. I think I ate it within 3 minutes. It was really good. I tried to stomach the fries but couldn’t quite do it. I hate soft and soggy fries and that’s exactly what they were. Maybe if I told them to cook them a little longer they would have been better. I will make that recommendation the next time I dine here. But I am now definitely a fan of the hamburgers!!!

Burgers are pretty good. However, I dont think they are worth the prices they charge. The burgers and fries are extremely gressy. You get to choose from many different toppings without being charged extra so that is a plus. They do give alot of fries but its still too much for just one person.

I went here hoping they would live up to the hype and «replace“my hometown face In N Out. They were good but not in n out good sadly. The inside looks like a cheap rip off too. Anyways on to the food.
The burgers are good. I prefer the in n out bun to the seasame seed buns they use at Five Guys. The fries were really good, a little greasy IMO but still good. I like how they have 15 toppings you can choose from to add. And they’re all free. The free peanuts are a nice touch too.
The price is a little higher than I expected but still good. I’d go back only bc there’s no in n out near.

What a Treat I found when pulling off the Highway to get Gas at the Kroger. The All The Way Burger is just that. ALL THE WAY GREAT. One order of Large Fries will easily feed a family of 4. Value, Value, Value!

This is one of those burger joints that tries to sell you on the fact that they’re more «upstanding» than other burger joints. They boast about their fresh ingredients and what not. That’s cool, if you’re into fast food. Being health conscious, I’m not into fatty burgers or fried foods at all, so all fast food restaurants get a 1 star review from me. This place however gets 2 stars, because they’re 1 step up from the rest. I ate here a few years ago before I converted to healthy eating, and I remember liking it.

A good basic burger. It may be a 5 star burger «for Augusta» but I’ve still had far too many better burgers to warrant more than 3.
A good choice of toppings, and it’s especially nice that they are free. The fries were good, you could tell they were just cut and fresh. The peanuts are a nice touch. Free drink for military. Over-​all, a good, solid spot. I would go back.

I love my burgers! And anyone that can cook a burger «juicy and well done» is top in my books for having good burgers… nice and fresh… cooked when ordered!
I like the idea of all the options to put on one’s burger…
I opted to just have the «hamburger basic» (which is 2 patties of beef) (the «little-​hamburger» has 1 patty) with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions. I say go for the 2 patties (I didn’t think it was all that big!)

Next go round, when I build my personal burger in the future… I’d buy the basic + bacon + cheese… and get jalapeño peppers (hot), grilled onions, mayo, hot sauce on the side! … I add individually or mixed as I experience «new» bites and taste!
OH… and the fresh cut fries! SO DELICIOUS! Get the LARGE… it’s enough to share for 2 small eaters! :)
OH…OH…OH!!! and let’s not forget the FREE peanuts «ALL YOU CAN EAT» while waiting for your burgers! Just don’t throw your shells on the floor!!!
