The doctors are great. Physicians Practice Group billing department is great. Augusta/GR/MCG billing department, are ridiculous. Over the last 5 years, I have had two monthly payment contracts, that I was paying on time, sent to collections. One of the accounts was«lost» by MCG while I was paying it and was told I owed no more money, 2 months later, collections. In August of 2015, I called to find out my total balance so I could pay them off, they gave me the amount, I paid it. 2 months later, they«found» a bill from 2 years ago that they never billed me for. If were not for the fact that I love the doctor I have, I would not go here at all. I would highly recommend that you find another hospital if at all possible or avoid owing this place money at any cost.

I feel pretty darn good about my experience here for the past 6, yes count ‘em 6 months of treatment here. My whole life has basically revolved around the 5th and 7th floors during my pregnancy so this review is a long time coming. Let me first say, this is an old hospital. It’s a building that just kept getting added onto another building that connects to other buildings and the levels can get a little confusing. «This elevator only goes up to 5 and I have to take 2 rights and a left to find a secret passageway that’ll take me to the gate keeper of the 7th floor?» When you’re in a hurry and you feel a panic attack coming on, you don’t feel like taking a moment to relax and read the map. My advice to you? Ask for help if you’re lost ’cause if you have to go to any part of the building that’s «West» it can get a tiny bit confusing. I had a high risk pregnancy and still continue to come to MCG for aftercare for both me and my child everyday so it really felt like I lived here. My nurses on the 7th L&D and 5th floor NICU are awesome and take the time to explain every little thing that was going on to me which eased my mind and earned my trust. They all went out of their way to check in on me, look into extra ways of accommodating me, and keep me in the loop about my daughters care every step of the way. I appreciate the children’s ER here. I’m surprised how many kids show up past midnight for various ailments and it’s so nice to have an area just for them. Being at the hospital is no fun but an area devoted to kids with children’s programming, bright colors, books and toys ease the anxiety just a little. 63⁄2014

My niece had an allergic reaction. I had to check on her. The parking was easy. They have several parking garages near the emergency area. She was at the children’s emergency area and they saw her in less than 20 minutes. The facility is nice. They have a few eateries in close proximity. Not too much to say about emergency rooms because I don’t think it’s a place anyone wants to visit. But I was impressed with MCG Health/GRU Health? The children’s emergency folks are on point!
