I always felt safe living here and it would have been a nice quiet apartment complex but for a few things. I worked nights for a lot of my time here and trying to sleep was not easy because: 1. I lived on the bottom floor and every time my upstairs neighbor took a step the whole ceiling would creak. Literally every single step the guy made would shake my apartment. It would wake me up it was so loud. I never got used to it. This alone brings the rating to 2 stars. I had to plan my sleep around when my neighbor woke up. He’d get up at 7am so I had to wait until he got up and left for work before I could go to bed or else his walking around would wake me up. I’m not a light sleeper. It really was that loud. The complex needs to do something about the creaking of the floors. 2. All throughout the year except for the short Georgia winter they were constantly using leaf blowers. I realize they need to keep the grounds looking nice, but it was just a lot of noise. For full disclosure I lived right next to a large grassy area and the volleyball court so my experience was probably worse than others who weren’t near grass. I never had issues with hood rats or people just hanging around so that was good. The staff was always nice and helpful. It seems like everyone who lives here has a job and isn’t idle. A lot of people are in the military. Maybe you’ll be ok here if you work during the day, but as a night shift worker it wasn’t good. If you’re going to live here make sure you get an apartment on the top floor and try to be as far away from green areas as possible.

I recently moved to Ridgecrest and was unable to stay in the apartment due to living organisms in the toilets and an infestation of fleas throughout the apartment. The apartment provided pest services however the extent it would take to completely clear out the fleas

I have lived here for 2.5 years. We picked Ridgecrest for the amenities, but they are not worth the extra rent that they bring due to horrible management. I have back problems and sought out Ridgecrest because they have a hot tub. However, the hot tub is only operational about 40% of the time. It will frequently go down for weeks at a time. Also, the pool is frequently unusable, even during the summer. It recently was half drained and looked like a green swamp for over a month… the stench wafted through the entire complex. Oh, and when the pool is up and running, don’t expect to be able to enjoy yourself there; they do not even allow cans of coke at the pool and music is DEFINITELY a no-go. Also, the gym has had the same broken treadmill for two years and an elliptical machine with two right foot pedals. I will say the the maintenance crew is top-notch and responds very quickly.

I had to move in pretty quickly and it was the only community that had anything available that day. In the beginning I thought it was a nice, quiet unit with decent management. Well… management and maintenance change CONSTANTLY. I never know who I’m talking to or when they started or how long they’ve been there. Consequently, its impossible to get certain maintenance tasks completed because one manager will promise something and then quit and the new manager has no idea what’s going on. I have had multiple floods that caused mold in my carpeting(maintenance put a fan in the hallway to dry it, I had to go get my own shop vac and my apartment still smells of mold and must). I have had huge roach problems because of the cheap pest control they supposedly used(I went into my kitchen one morning and there were 5 roaches on the counters, floor, and ceiling!). The lawn maintenance team is ridiculous, they’ve broken my master bedroom window and chipped my windshield with flying rocks and they blow yard waste under my welcome mat(I’ve complained about this several times with no resolution). I even had another resident who was smoking and eating outside his apartment and then just throwing his trash everywhere, management/maintenance did nothing. The concrete roadway around entrance is constantly breaking apart and forming enormous pot holes because maintenance is too cheap to fix it properly. My carpets aren’t attached to the foundation and the foam underneath is disgusting, I may as well have a room shaped area rug that is full of wrinkles. All in all, a terrible experience.

I lived here from Sept 2012 to May 2013. I had one week to move from Chicago to Augusta for a position I accepted. I researched the area and narrowed it down to 2 apartment communities. After speaking with the property’s staff they were able to accommodate my requests. I needed a fully furnished one bedroom with a washer and dryer in the unit. I drove from Chicago to my new place. I was very happy living at Ridgecrest. Being a single female I felt safe. It was quiet and clean. Whenever I needed anything the staff was friendly and professional handling my requests. I had my maintenance requests completed promptly. I allowed the maintenance crew to enter without me being home. They went above and beyond with all of my requests. From replacing my blinds to changing out my shower head. I prefer to use a filtered shower head. The complex also had events such as a chilli cook off to pizza night. These social gatherings were always fun to go to. Always free with nice giveaways. The swimming pool and hot tub were also a great amenity. There is a small fitness area, sand volleyball and Ridgecrest is dog friendly. I lived on the third floor that boasted awesome vaulted ceilings and a cozy fireplace that I used often. I would recommend Ridgecrest for a clean, safe and GREAT place to live.
