Lived in this complex for about 6 months in 2015, everything was great… at first. Great location, in the middle of everything, close to base, Target, WalMart, restaurants and even the movie theater. This complex isn’t gated and doesn’t have security cameras either, just an on duty«security guard.» I’ve never seen this person, so they are either REALLY good or REALLY bad at their job. I hold ill feelings towards this complex because we HAD a motorcycle and it was stolen one evening. When we told the manager the next morning, she seemed less than surprised and coldly just asked for the police report. Out of the 5 other motorcycles in the complex, ours seemed to be the only one taken. Before moving in we asked about security and the office lady insured that there has NEVER been a theft at the complex. Comes to find out when we filed with our insurance about the theft, the person assigned to our case tells us that he’s actually had to deal with A LOT of motorcycle thefts from this particular complex. Also I spoke to a neighbor who was moving out and the reason why was because she couldn’t get the complex to help her with a stalker she was dealing with. The apartment itself wasn’t too bad, we had one of the newer remodeled 2 bed/2 bath apartments. It’s in a great location, but not too great on security or caring if you get your property stolen.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Augusta, GA
This review is for the 1 bedroom apartments at Springhouse in Augusta. I will be very honest about the pros and cons that I’ve experienced. The layout is by far superior to a lot of other similarly priced one bedroom apartments in Augusta. The open galley kitchen really looks nice with the little dining nook off to the side. There is ample space in the living room and a nice, big coat closet as well as a large walk-in closet in the bedroom. The bedroom is a little on the smaller side, but it is fine. The sliding glass doors in the living room are nice, but you’ll have to make sure that you know if your apartment is one that veers off to the left or to the right when you walk in if you have a sectional because obviously it won’t work in both layouts and still look nice. It also has a nice pool area that they seem to keep up with as far as maintenance goes. It’s not overly crowded and it is not open to the public, only residents. Now for the honesty that isn’t so nice? When we toured an apartment that was open, one of the office girls said that they’re all pretty much the same as far as looks go. The carpets were tan and the walls were a nice, light beige. The bathtub had these cool cubby holes in it to store your shampoos too. I really liked that. She also said that you have the option to upgrade to new black appliances in the kitchen for $ 50 extra per month and get new carpets for $ 20 a month. She said that the apartments that had the older appliances that are almond colored(think 1980’s) would automatically be replaced to used but newer white appliances in all apartments to be rented out. So, we opted for new carpets for hygienic purposes and decided to not pay any extra and just stick with the used but newer white appliances. Fast forward to move in day: The walls in our apartment are a greyish-blue color. I called the office to ask what the heck was up and she said they were«passive grey.» No, they are a light blue grey. The carpets are a medium brown, but at least they’re new. Do they match the walls? Absolutely not. My décor looks like crap now because I planned around a tan color scheme. There was also a fireplace next to the sliding glass doors and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to not put my sectional in front of the fireplace given the layout, and we were not told that our unit contained a fireplace as not all of them do. Strike 2. The appliances were the old 1980’s almond appliances that were promised to not even be in newly leased apartments. I called about that and was told there weren’t any more white ones, they were all out. A month and a half after move in, I grew very tired of our dish washer leaking water with every load(I used the Cascade action packs only) and called the office and told them that they either reduce my rent or get me a new dish washer. A week later I had a new, white dishwasher that obviously wasn’t going to match with my ancient stove and fridge. I was mad. It also doesn’t clean the dishes very well. My second week living at Springhouse, they closed the pool down for an entire week to punish residents who were too loud on a Sunday. I can see them warning residents, but we are not children and that is crazy. I pay for that amenity and I can’t believe all residents were treated like children in that capacity. I love the geese that live here as they’re fun to feed, but their feces are ALLOVER! Do you think that Springhouse would have the decency to maybe clean up monthly or in walkway areas at least? Nope. It rots there until it decays. Within the first two months, I also encountered 2 cockroaches. One of them crawled on my face in the middle of the night and woke me up! I couldn’t believe it, it was something out of a horror movie. Lastly, I always see the girls smoking outside the pool during Monday maintenance too, and I don’t consider that very professional, but overall nice office staff. I just wish the promises they made upon signing the lease were kept as I was not happy at all to say the least. Overall? Springhouse is an okay place to live. Some things here are inexcusable and maintenance isn’t always the most helpful, but the apartments are nice. I don’t know if I would renew my lease because of the lies told about the appliances and the constant stepping on goose poop every time I walk to my apartment, but 3⁄5 stars seems fair.
