During the summer of 2015 we experienced a situation at my mother’s home, in Augusta, GA, where the central A/C would not get cool enough. We contacted American Home Shield(AHS) to report the problem and to get a technician to come out. AHS scheduled us with someone from the Atlanta Area, which was a non-starter for several reasons; 1) It was Thursday and they could not get to us until Wednesday of the following week, with 100 degree plus days, 2) They were not local, and having them drive from Atlanta did not make sense, 3) The Unilocal reviews on that company were horrible. I called AHS back and asked for another vendor that was closer to our location and they provided Temprite. We made contact and scheduled the appointment, the technicians came out and immediately fixed the problem, which was the outside system was dirty from grass cutting AND our not having conducted preventive maintenance. We brought it on ourselves…, lesson learned the hard way. The technicians were friendly and very professional. Since our positive encounter we have purchased the Winter and Summer Preventive Maintenance plan with Temprite for a couple of reasons 1) It makes sense because loss of heating and air conditioning typically happens on the coldest or hottest days in history AND it is a long holiday weekend. 2) Because they are affiliated with American Home Shield and if a problem is detected during the inspection we can skip the negotiations with AHS and get our problem resolved with a bit more expedience.

We called these guys on the day of a big storm and were thinking that it would not be possible for us to get service. Our Heat Pump went out just that morning. To our surprise they made it out to us, serviced the unit and we had heat. They were fast, reliable, honest, and professional. We’d highly recommend them.
