Last fall, my husband surprised me with an outdoor propane fire-pit to extend the season. Bought, delivered, & set up the same day from Wicker Barn. We enjoyed it all winter and began to smell propane as spring came on. No exact dates can be pinpointed but last night(10−15−15) we gathered to celebrate fall and the propane was so strong we had to give up. Dave(from Wicker Barn) called me back this AM to explain that he was«99% sure it’s a leak and there was nothing he could do it help me with it. That I needed to call a propane company to come & fix it because if he came and did anything & it blew up — you will sue me.» SO…I took a spray bottle with soapy water, fired up the pit, found the leak. I contacted the manufacturer(Outdoor Greatroom Company) and within 30 minutes Joey had shipped me the new assembly where the leak is occurring. Now Dave… wouldn’t it have been nice for you to have walked me through the process of finding the leak rather than jumping right to «you will sue me»? On a final note, If a company does not offer any after-market service on a given product, they probably shouldn’t sell it. May as well buy mail-order as from this company.
