@Battle B., The plastic is down, and area was opened up with tables and a bit more room for the breakfast. I stayed here for a month folks. A whole month. My employer gave me a certain dollar figure, and it didn’t leave me with a whole lot of options. That being said, when I called this place Chris was awesome and said they could wiggle with their price since I was staying so long and that the manager Eric T. was an outstanding guy. Ended up making the reservation after getting in-touch with Eric. So staff was great to me. Onto regular things, they were very punctual daily with bed-making and trash, new towels. Every few nights they would go by with a snack cart with free goodies. Heck, I got some wine and beer on a couple occasions. If you want classy, this isn’t it. But, if you need a place to stay that’s taken care of(albeit a bit aged, don’t go licking the carpet), that just works, I’d go back here again if I had to stay in the area. Pros: –Staff helpful, responsive –Snacks/drinks on occasion on-the-house –Location to most things(Mall, Ft Gordon, Augusta National) –Free Internet /Cable Cons: –1st floor = Hear everything in the world someone above you is doing –View out your window, if you want one, good luck(I just wanted to see my car) –Breakfast, it existed, but it was mostly some fruit, some coffee, and waffles Overall: This is a 4⁄5 for me with regards to surrounding hotels, and the price. This is me sort of saying it’s a solid hotel for being right there, but I would indeed have higher standards for different areas or hotel chains. I don’t care about fancy though. I just want it to work, be clean, and have good people.

Check in was easy. The staff is friendly. The hotel is «Under construction». I use quotes since I stayed there a week and saw ZERO work on the«construction» efforts. There is some plastic tacked up. The bedding in the rooms was great. The rooms were appointed well. The bathroom was kind of outdated and needed maintenance. The bath had what appeared to be mold growth and required a deep cleaning of sorts. The toilet seat needs replacing and residue buildup was noticed on the faucet. Two people from my party found the accommodations so underwhelming that they switched hotels. The free breakfast is lack luster compared to other hotels in the area. I will not stay here again.

I booked this hotel last minute on a late night coming from Atlanta. The hotel is probably the most decent in the area. others seemed pretty sketchy. All of the staff were very friendly and made me feel welcomed but the amount of noise coming from upstairs and outside made it really hard to sleep at night. It sounded like someone was stomping on the floor upstairs and it got to the point where we had to call the front desk and ask them to do something about the people upstairs. They said they were going to call their room but the loud thumping continued throughout the night. Then, a mustang outside was revving the engine for about 45 minutes at about 1am. Not the hotels fault but the noise became a little too much. I would stay here again but maybe on the other side where it is more quiet.

Just needed a quiet place to stay with my 4 year old so we could get to our flight first thing in the morning. It ended up 80 with tax and that is overpriced for what’s going on there. Most of the lobby is under construction(which they failed to mention) and there are cords and equipment EVERYWHERE making it impossible to either get to your room or the bathroom on the lobby floor. Should be offering discounts for inconvienance… and they have the tables they put coffee and food on directly under said construction. That’s disgusting and most likely unhealthy. Room was musky and obviously not checked on in a few days cause clock was still ahead an hour(4 days past time change). Room cards did not work right off bat either. Try somewhere else for convienance or feeling comfortable. This is not the place.

I was expecting a lot more when I reserved my room with the hotel. Entrance to the hotel is not easy to access from the highway. The lobby is clean and fairly modern. Lady behind the counter was nice. My first room, the heater made a horrible noise and the window frame was broke letting in cold air. I requested a new room. The second room had the peephole glass missing. When I requested to move to a third room, the new lady on shift at the front desk told me to stuff toilet paper in the hole. I politely said no and wanted another room. The third room is clean but has ceiling damage. When I used the fitness center, I noticed the do not use sign on the hot tub door. Interesting enough the jets were running and room was full of steam. Not sure what is going on with this hotel.

I called the hotel directly to reserve a room for next week, Jan. 13 – 16. The woman I spoke to seemed very unprofessional and unknowledgeable when I asked her a few questions. They faxed me over an authorization sheet that I was to fax back to them. I tried to fax it over and over, it wouldn’t send so I tried to call them and kept getting either a busy signal or a recording saying, «All Circuits are Busy.» I found out that my business trip would require another day, 13 – 17 so I tried calling them several more times. Still could not get thru. Then, I tried Googling Windgate and reached their main reservation line. They couldn’t get thru either and they also said that my reservation was only for tonight and it was too late to cancel. I was like, «What?» it wasn’t for tonight, it was for next week. They said I would have to pay for the room anyway because it was too late to cancel. I was scammed by this shifty place before I even got there. I wouldn’t recommend it.
