I have been going here since 1994 and not much has changed. The selection is okay, but if you are looking for animé, you may not find what it is you are looking for. The staff are extremely rude and unless you are a part of their inner circle, they won’t even talk to you. It’s sad, but it’s been that way since the 90’s, and they are still in business, so I doubt they are going to change. They are a little overpriced, but since they are the only real shop that is close, you’re kind of stuck. To summarize, just imagine an overpriced place with sports paraphernalia, comic books and trading cards, filled with a bunch of people that treat you like the comic book guy treats Bart Simpson. It’s been there for a long time, so they must be doing something right.

I had a great time at this place. The last time I went in their selection was three times what I saw today, which was a major letdown, but the staff was quick to help me locate all my type of cards to go through. I didn’t find much more than common cards, and the biggest bummer was the cards I brought in to sell would have made their collection much more extensive but their trade offer wasn’t nearly enough. I ended up not trading because they didn’t have much I wanted even at their low offer, but I did stay and watch a tournament. The people playing were welcoming(maybe cause I was a girl, since another shy kid interested in another game didn’t get much attention) and everyone was super open to teaching me how to play/welcoming me to come back. I will go back for sure, both to check for new cards, and to watch or maybe even participate!

Best place to play Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic the Gathering, Heroclix, Pokemon. Great selection of single cards, decks and any supplies you could think of.
