This sports bar is divided into two sections, the lounge and the bar. We ended up on the bar side for the Bronco/Patriots game with a table front row and a beautiful view of a very large projection screen. Woo hoo… Our first foray into the menu included the hockey sticks and wings. The wings only come by tens, so be prepared to be hungry or share. The fried mozzarella(hockey) sticks with marinara were hot and tasty. We ordered the wings 5 plain and 5 buffalo style and let me tell you the buffalo ones were spicy Later on, we ordered a pitcher of Bud light($ 7 vs $ 8 for two beers) some fries and an order of hockey pucks(fried pickles). These were some of the best fried pickles and there were plenty to share. The fries were perfectly done and I’m not sure what they fried them in or with but they were delicious! I’m not a big fry person and I ate at least half of them by myself. Considering that the place was jammed packed, service was pretty good and all our items from the kitchen came out hot. Nothing worse than a cold fried pickle… At one point during the game my companion was asked to turn her hat around because no one is allowed to wear them with the bill towards the back, something about a dress code that we were not aware of. No fancy entrees here, just some good bar food to enjoy while you’re watching a game on one of the several projection TV’s. And yo, keep your hat on straight.

When I want to chill with friends, watch some sports and have a good reasonably priced meal, Apex has hit a home run with me on several occasions. Nice addition to the neighborhood and appreciate the dress code policy.

I was excited to try Apex because of its excellent reviews on Unilocal, and my fellow Unilocalers don’t usually steer me wrong. That, and there aren’t a ton of sports bars to choose from in Aurora, so yeah. We stopped in on a Sat afternoon, around 4ish, and there were about 10 or so cars in the parking lot. We planned to have a few drinks and a «bar style» dinner after our day out and about. When we walked in, the place looked newly renovated, which is a plus. The positives end there. You have to walk directly in front of the bar to get to their couch seating, which was our area of choice so we could watch the TV’s. BOTH female bartenders looked directly at us as we walked by, and said nothing. In fact, they both immediately look away. No smile, no ‘hi’, nada. Cool. So we sat, expecting there to be a waitress manning the couch area. Nope. Try to catch eye contact with the bartenders, who conveniently won’t look over at us. 5 mins later, my sister tells ME what she wants to drink(because we still haven’t been acknowledged), and she heads to the restroom. So then I sit by myself, and wait. And you could probably guess what happens next? Yep, NOTHING. Sister comes back from the restroom, now it’s 10 mins we’ve waited. At this point, it’s obvious we’re being ignored. So, another 5 mins of us staring directly at the bar… and then me, my sis and my hard earned $$ got the hell up and left. The bartenders watched us get up and leave. Think they said a peep? Moral of the story is: if you’re a new business, it’s probably a good idea to make people feel WELCOME. Instead, at Apex you get the stank eye and stank ATTITUDE. You won’t ever catch me in there again. PS… Any place THIS new that has already had to post a dress code = you do the math.

My coworkers and I finally hit this place up after work on a Thursday evening. Apex was a refreshing change from the usual BJs and TGIF in the area. We were super stoked to have found such a great bar so close to work. We arrived at about 5pm, were greeted by multiple employees and happy to indulge in their 2 for 1 wells. The atmosphere is nice and open, lots of couch space for us to relax and huuge tvs! We ordered some nachos — they were delicious! Sometimes with bar food you never know what you’re going to get but we were not disappointed. It wasn’t crowded this time of the evening. The bartender told us that they frequently have live bands and DJs. The service was great, atmosphere clean and open and the bar offered a great selection of spirits! We will be back to try more of the delicious menu items!

My boyfriend and I moved into the area About a month ago and discovered we were about a ten minute walk from this place. The other day we decided to check it out after reading all the great reviews on Unilocal. We are big hockey fans and so we asked to have one of the giant tvs turned to the Avalanche game which was playing and the other people were tuned in to the baseball game on the other screen. To our dismay this«sports bar» wasn’t subscribed to any Channel that plays hockey, which was really the whole reason we chose this place, because it was local and we wanted to watch the game, drink and eat. The staff however was very apologetic and friendly. They seemed happy to be there and smiled a lot. I would be willing to give this place a second chance because their food looked delicious and the environment other than the fact that they didn’t have hockey channels was fairly upbeat. But you can’t call it a sports bar if they only play baseball and football.

If you want a relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly & gracious bartenders I’d highly recommend Apex Sports Lounge! Their chicken & waffles special on weekends, happy hour specials, their apex burger, their nachos, and their wings are dope and completely worth it. This place has a different feel than your average chain sports bar. The staff is more genuine and they go out of their way to make your experience a chill, pleasant one. It’s a great place to sit back & relax and watch the game! 12 huge TV’s, a pool table, a DJ, karokee nights, and live music every Friday.

Extremely nice staff and a perfectly brand new pool table. We only went here to kill time until we picked up a friend at DIA and were treated like regulars.

Its suppose to be a sports lounge. Unfortunately on the weekends it is a club with the music horribly loud. U cant talk. The poor wait staff can’t hear to get the orders right

Apex sports lounge is bee nice inside. Two friends of mine and I watched the home run derby on their massive couches. They have a good bar food menu and also have great beer specials. The staff were extremely friendly and always checked up on us to make sure we were enjoying our experience. I highly recommend giving APEX a shot as they are brand new!

Great experience all around. Staff was very friendly and personable. Made sure to ask questions to get our drink orders perfect. Took some time to get to know us a bit. We met one of the owners who was very nice and professional. He and his staff made us feel very welcome the entire time which was very refreshing. It wasn’t very busy since it was the 4th of July, the staff said they’ve been busy on the first weekends. It was very well lit and clean. You can tell it was designed to be a sports lounge, but makes for more of a nice bar environment on one side at night. They have live music at times(not while we were there) and there’s a small dance area for those who can’t resist busting a move. The tab was very reasonable and the peach cobbler dessert(served in a martini glass with vanilla ice cream) was delicious. We would highly recommend this place if you’re in the area and are looking for a clean, friendly, comfortable bar that features sports.

Apex is a brand new sports lounge located in Aurora. I had the opportunity to go there for the grand opening and it was a blast. They did some great upgrades to the place, they have MASSIVETV’s to watch sports at any time of the day and most of all the food is delicious. I have been back a couple times since the grand opening, I have had the wings, the Apex burger, the fries, the hot link sandwich, and haven’t been disappointed by ANY of them. They have a variety of sauces for the wings(naked, hot, honey hot, bbq, etc) the Apex burger is a GREAT size, and you can build your own burger and add your own toppings. As well, I had the hot link with fries, and that thing was MASSIVE! For those of you that know about the Gold Star Sausage company here in Denver, YES… they did that! You have to try this place for yourself. Coming in for lunch or for a quick happy hour drink and appetizer before you go home, you definitely won’t be disappointed.
