Anya cut my hair today and I love it. She did exactly what I asked. I love this place.

I do not recommend. This salon does not have much of an Aveda-feel, but does have Aveda prices. More importantly, I asked for a collarbone-length cut and left with a chin-length bob. That’s like a three inch difference!(I did not get color). Anya was nice, but the point of a salon is to get the style you want, and Bella Luna didn’t deliver.

I am new to the area and I wanted to find a nice salon that offered shellac manicures and I was happy to find them. I went to Sarah to have my acrylic nails taken off and to get a shellac manicure. She did a great job with the challenge of taking of those horrible acrylics and then made my nails look perfect!

I go to Bella Luna to get my eyebrows waxed by Denise. I was introduced to this place at least 3 years ago, when I moved into the area. For me, it is very close to my house. Now, I am a bit particular about by eyebrows and how I like them done. Denise has been amazing at listening to me about triming here, a little more there even after all this time. Denise is always on time and very personable. And most importantly, does a great job with my brows. The reception staff is great too, putting up with all my last minute phone calls to try to get in to see Denise. You have got a loyal customer in me Bella Luna!

Not good. I was looking for a more inexpensive place than my usual salon and one closer to home. Though the staff was friendly enough, I was very dissatisfied with the cut which, days later, looks choppy and uneven. The stylist started me with what I assume is a standard«stress-relieving scalp massage» but was really an awkward two and a half minutes of her rubbing my head lightly with oil on her fingers. No towel on my shoulders as she washed my hair, either. I asked for her to touch up my long layers. She cut new ones that don’t blend but look thick and choppy. She used a straight razor on my face frame, which I know damages the hair but I didn’t realize she was using it until it was too late. She also cut side swept bangs which to be fair I agreed to, but the overall cut now looks like its three different cuts all competing, which, I would have hoped, she might have known beforehand. I feel like this is a cut I could have gotten at a Supercuts but paid 50 bucks for instead. I don’t recommend this place for cuts and won’t be back.

I rarely get the chance to get a haircut or have time to myself. I love Aveda products and being new to the area I thought should try this salon/spa. I was greeted by a nice young lady that offered water or tea. I then met my stylist who seemed friendly enough. throughout my visit I felt as if I was given a sales pitch of all the products. Then ask to go to their beauty station to try makeup. And back over to the hair care line. I understand that sales are a big part of a salon’s business but this was ridiculous. I was a paying customer for a service not to sit through a sales pitch. I felt as if my haircut was cost cutters quality at an Aveda price. Not pleased at all and will not return. I would suggest the stylists focus more on customer satisfaction and quality work rather than pushing product.

As far as AVEDA salons are concerned this one just isn’t up to par in my book. I wasn’t offered a drink when I walked in. In fact the two girls at the counter stood there and chatted about their upcoming clients aka me. Not a fan.

I’ve been going here for a few years now and am very pleased with all the haircuts and color I’ve received. A few months ago I went in a wanted to drastically change my hair and had about 12 inches cut off. I brought in pictures and Sara was great at walking me through the differences and how each would look on me. She did a great job and she even encouraged me to donate my hair to Locks of Love. Prior to chopping off all my hair I had highlights done. They turned out perfect! I was a little nervous after never having highlights before but again Sara did a great job of explaining the process and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Bella Luna!

I absolutely love the haircut I received at the Bella Luna salon in Aurora. My stylist was Riley Fedel. The cost was a bit high($ 40), but I felt that nothing was excluded as far as styling and the time spent on my hair. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

I don’t recommend this salon to anyone anymore. I didn’t realize I’d never updated and dropped stars, but the most recent review was a good reminder. I moved to Centennial a few months after my hair cut at Bella Luna and moved to another salon since I’d only had the one haircut at BL and the location was now too far away. I was about to head to Florida for vacation and wanted a cut, short summer cut to show off to my family. Though my experience at the new salon didn’t outshine BL, I was told — and SHOWN — hat my hair cut was so crooked in places(in the back) that the best he could do was try to even it out until next time. I left with a boring bob cut that I hated, which I blame partially on the stylist at the new salon, and mostly on the girl at Bella Luna since I was explicitly shown how uneven she had left my hair. Maybe I caught her on a bad day since someone else raved about her in their review. I thought my hair cut had looked great, too, but had I really known what to look for I would have never given them 5 stars.

I usually dye my hair at home, and really don’t do a very good job! However, I am very particular about whether the hair dye tests on animals. I was so excited when I found out about the Bella Luna Aveda Concept salon in Aurora. I don’t have the finances to get my hair colored professionally, esp. at a place that’s a bit pricey. But, I wanted to treat myself to a salon experience and shell out the money, as long as I knew the job was good. I see they cut hair really well. But, I should have read more reviews on hair coloring. I specifically showed the girl what I was looking for in a picture. We had decided that we would make the hair a little darker than what I had in my picture, since she said hair color fades. It was MUCH darker than what I had wanted after she washed it out. But, I will admit that now it has faded to a color that’s really nice. So, she was right about that, even though I was not happy originally after seeing the color that day. The reason why I’m giving this two stars is because she didn’t do my roots well at all! They didn’t appear to take much color, and that’s one of the things I had emphasized to her, is that I was concerned that since this was«natural», would it actually lighten my roots(which are dark to begin with. the rest of my hair was already lighter than my roots). Now I love the color ONTHELOWERHALF of my hair… there is such a big contrast with the roots she didn’t lighten. I was disappointed my first experience at an Aveda salon was this. To top it off, it came to about $ 70, which I think is outrageous when she didn’t lighten the roots well at all. I’ve had my entire head colored and roots touched up for much cheaper and they did a great job(they did the nice job in the picture I showed the colorist. Of course, the only issue is that my formal hair colorist uses Clairol and they test). I will definitely not be returning here for coloring.

I was desperate for a haircut and decided to try Bella Luna based on the other reviews. I was not disappointed. The cut was great and the price was descent. I gave it 4 stars because the décor was minimal and it was a bit noisy… not the peaceful oasis I had hoped for, but I walked out with pretty hair! I have since had highlights there too and love my hair now.

I started going here about two years ago when I worked close by in Aurora. It had the Aveda appeal so I went for it. Now even though I’ve moved and live at least half an hour away, I still make the drive.(It’s also one of the least expensive Aveda concept salons I’ve found in the metro area). I’ve had my hair cut by about three different stylists here and they’ve all done fantastic jobs(even when they’ve had to rescue my hair from awful cuts I got at Cost Cutters and the Aveda Institute in between my appointments here). I’ve never had a bad experience and highly recommend Bella Luna!
