Not the cleanest store(by a long shot) but they have really cute things at generally great prices. I like the fact that even though they share a parking lot with a certain big box store that gets made fun of on numerous websites, I can go in there and not be subjected to the horror that is… well, you get where I’m going. This store attracts a better class of people than the neighboring business. I know that another store in the same strip mall recently had to close due to the high theft rates and I hope that doesn’t happen to this store. I really like having a shopping option so nearby and the staff here are always very friendly.

I wanted to write about what a great experience we had at the Aurora Big Lots. We purchased family room furniture over the Thanksgiving weekend and unfortunately realized when we got home that we had the wrong couch. I called and talk to the furniture manager and cannot express how pleased we were with how he accommodated us and his professional/genuine concern for us. I would recommend this store to all my friends and family and want to thank Big Lots for employing great team members!!! THANKYOU!

Okay, visit #2 with a fairly open mind… I still don’t like this store. It can be best described as organized chaos. Everything departmentalized, but the merchandise selection is all over the place. I can see people wasting a lot of time and money in this store. My coworker convinced me to stop here on our lunch hour to look for K cups. We had previously stopped here, months ago and they had a very small selection. This visit we found K cups after a long circle throughout the store at my friend’s will, there were a few boxes of french vanilla coffee scattered amongst the likes of funky old Gatorade and pumpkin spiced individual creamers. I guess I don’t really«get» this store. Anything that I thought was slightly cool(Valentine’s Day and St. Patty’s decorations), I was hesitant to buy/wear/drink out of. I do not see myself becoming a Big Lots convert any day soon.

This Big Lots is bigger than the one in Naperville and I found more products here than I did in the other BL stores in the area. They have a big personal care section, including soaps, makeup, toothpaste, etc. They also carry a variety of basic car stuff, cleaning supplies, pillows and bedding, pet supplies, dry goods and storage containers. Some good finds: Plastic hangers: 8/$ 1 Twining Earl Grey Tea: 48 bags/$ 3 Small storage crate: $ 1.20 Latex gloves: 2/$ 1 There was one thing I found missing from this store, Puffs tissues! Usually, they have a pretty good deal on these at the other BL’s. The employees here are helpful and the lines were not too bad. The inventory is always changing, so you might want to snag whatever you see at the time or else it might be gone when you return. Big Lots means Big Discounts, and everything from housewares to makeup, groceries to furniture, all in happy harmony with a big, big slash to the price tag. Never having been to one before, I was pleasantly surprised to find kitchen tables and couches of high quality, as well as tons of cute decoration for Halloween and Christmas. It’s almost like the dollar store and a department store had a crazy night in Vegas and, nine months later, the world was blessed with Big Lots, and we’re all so much the better for it.
