Brakes Plus – Aurora Tower Rd

Brakes Plus was able to squeeze in an oil change on my car, even though I didn’t have an appointment AND THEY WERE VERY BUSY AS USUAL. They also got the job finished earlier than they had estimated. Great service at a reasonable price — love Brakes Plus on Tower Rd!

AWFUL! No urgency, sense of customer service, and making an appointment means nothing.
Had a Saturday 9am appointment scheduled and dropped my car off right on time. the rep up front assured me we would be taken care of. Came back 1 hour and 45 minutes later to find my car still sitting in the SAME spot I parked it earlier in the day. My husband commented that they didn’t touch it yet but since I’ve been a faithful Brakes Plus customer for years I told him there was no way as I’ve never had issues with the speed of their service. When I checked in with the rep that helped us earlier my husband had called it: they haven’t even touched it. I reminded the gentleman I made an appointment. He went to the back (mind you NO ONE WAS WORKING. they were all crowded around a work table TALKING) then came out to tell me I was next. I took my keys and told him I’m going elseware. He didn’t bat an eye.
If they can’t get the simple steps of prompt & reliable customer service down-​imagine what they’ll do to your car. Never again.

Can i give less than zero stars for this business. i was there on 04/​25/​2016 to fix my door’s handle and also the power steering oil leakage. First of all they didn’t do there job right. they just use the old parts and charge me for new parts even after paying $ 907.00 it is not working properly. i get back to let them check again they were like we install the new parts on your handle so will takes some weeks to work. Are you fucking kidding with me? secondly they used same old Power steering parts coz i can easily notice the parts which was already in my car. They are thief to steal your money. they created another problem in my car as well i can hear a freaking weird noise and i told them about that they were like its just miner it is not gonna affect anything. Are you there to fix or created others problems on the car. this is totally horrible customer service. i would never suggest anything to visit this brakes Plus on tower Road. if you could not give customer satisfaction just close the store.

1 star is more credit than these people deserve. I brought my car here originally for an all wheel alignment after replacing tie rod ends and got the car back experiencing instability and rear end pulling to the right. They have a 3 month warranty so i brought it back. The looked at it again and adjusted it for free which is great but i got it back even worse than it was before. Steering wheel not aligned. Front wheels go left when the wheel is straight. Right rear wheel was toed out to the point of prematurely wearing out the inside of the tire. Being the third time there I Asked for a refund within the three month warranty and the manager tried to deny me that until i asked to speak with the district manager. If i wasn’t mechanically inclined enough to notice my car’s odd behavior over snow, dirt, and hard cornering (which it didn’t do before the alignment even with bad tie rods and ball joints) I would have ended up needing to buy 4 new tires and pay for ANOTHER alignment somewhere else. Find a reputable mechanic and don’t bother with these chains that’ll hire any fool off the street. They’ll end up costing you more time and money than they’re worth.

If I could choose less than 1 star, I would.
I took my vehicle in for an alignment. Instead they decided to loosen up several bolts on my vehicle. Those bolts caused over $ 1,000 worth of damage.
When I ask them to cover the cost of repairs they declined and asked me never to return to their stores. Who would have thought that an alignment would cost so much money? The best part was that some of the bolts that they had removed were installed with Loctite, which means they will not back out. In addition one of the bolts has never been messed with since the vehicle was assembled.

This place makes Wal-Mart’s customer service look like Disneyland! Discount Tires reported that the alignment on our front wheels were off, so we decided to visit this place because it was in a convenient location.
Eventually, had to make three visits here for them to finally try to make us purchase $ 900 worth of services that was deemed unnecessary by Stan’s Alignment! The first time we visited this place, they said they were closing, so we should return anytime Monday morning, «appointment unnecessary.» Went at 9:00am Monday, was basically told to pound sand, unless we had a six hour window, so we made an appointment for Tuesday morning. When we arrived Tuesday morning for the $ 58 alignment, we were told that they would not do our alignment unless we purchased an invoice of services they said was required ($ 900)! Overall, they were quite belittling and rude from all the visits. Lesson learned, would like to refer business elsewhere! Paid $ 68 for all four alignments, received great service and longtime customer! Dear, this franchise and corporation, you suck!

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Told me what needed to be done on my car and also told me what was not necessary. They tend to be busy so I suggest you make a appointment.

I always have a good experience with this Brakes Plus. I feel like they charge a reasonable rate for basic maintenance like oil changes. The only complaint I have is how long it takes to get the maintenance completed sometimes.

My dad brought his 4runner here for a basic oil change. They gave him an invoice for all the things he had to do to the car which amounted to over $ 1,000 including changing shocks and suspensions for no reason. We took the car to our mechanic and he said there was nothing wrong. Don’t trust this place and always get a second opinion when it comes to car repair.

Just because I am a woman does that automatically mean I do not know my car, or cars in general? Don’t talk to me like I am stupid. I am actually very capable when it comes to cars. Had I not been in a pinch I would have never brought my vehicle here, and I definitely regret having done so. Terrible quality of work, terrible customer service. I left here absolutely LIVID! I will never return and I would NEVER allow anyone I know service their vehicle here, for any reason.

They tried to charge me $ 300 to replace a part (master cylinder) that only needed to be cleaned. The guy even said he took it apart and didn’t find anything wrong with it. I took it to a friend of mine and he couldn’t even get the pistons to come out of it because it was so dirty. Once he cleaned it up, my brakes worked like a dream again.
I can’t believe I went to this place.
